Optimized Discordia Build 4.22 [Updated]

November 29, 2017

Like a lot of mages, Discordia is very fragile. Utilizing Erratic Behavior is imperative to survival. Be cautious of players who easily pick up this trick, however, as they will wait until you hop away before they pounce you (Bastet, Awilix, Odin, Kali, etc) or cast their large AoE (Ah Puch, Scylla). Erratic Behavior is great for diverting enemy ultimates when timed right like Loki, Artemis, Rama, Thor, and Thanatos.

  • Weak early game
  • Very fragile
  • Predictable
  • Easy to counter

Item Overview

My builds centralize around maximizing CDR and adding mobility.

Regarding items selected, I would deem the following as a "core kit" for Discordia.
Disclaimer: This isn't the holy grail, just an idea.

For defensive items, there are a few that I like to pair with her:

Regarding damaging items, you can always get Soul Reaver in place of Ethereal Staff, but let me give you an explanation as to why I choose Ethereal Staff over SR:

With only 10 magical power below SR, you gain more HP (survivability), 20% CCR (Crowd-Control Reduction), as well as the passive to inflict 5% of the enemy's HP with your abilities every 10 seconds. That's basically a mini-SR.

I am now adding Telkhines Ring as a viable damaging and survivability item to my build after some experimenting. Here's why:

With the added movement speed, combined with Shaman's Ring, it makes Discordia even more frightening. You are harder to hit and you are able to get out of trouble quicker. The passive is an additional 60 magical power added whenever you hit a god.

Enemy God Counters

After hours playing against an array of gods, I've developed some tricks I'd like to share with new up-and-coming Discordia players.

These tricks heavily depend on max CDR (or holding onto your 3). Refer to Introduction > Combos for additional information regarding your abilities and how to best use them.

Mages and Hunters

I hope these have been helpful! More tips against gods will be added later or upon request.

As a closing note, there's something I'd like to add for people to think about; the reason I do a lot of damage, is because I have max CDR. That means I get to cast more often. More CDR > more casts > more combos > more deaths.

I will be adding more to this build as time goes on and items/playstyles change.
