Cabrakan's Lore

Smite God Cabrakan Feel the earth trembling beneath your feet? Only a titan of tremendous power could cause such fear. He is the Render of Stone, the Earthsunder. He is Cabrakan, Destroyer of Mountains.

Proud, boastful, confident to the point of arrogance, Cabrakan revels in his strength, tearing down what the earth has labored to rise. These traits – and worse - he inherited from his sire, the demon bird Seven Macaw.

Seeking to end Seven Macaw's entire lineage, the Hero Twins tracked Cabrakan by his quaking footfalls. They found him in a valley, surrounded by great peaks, shattering rock into dust.

"How mighty you are," they told him, playing to his pride.

"I am," he boasted.

"Can you shatter that distant mountain?" they asked.

"Of course," Cabrakan roared.

"You must be hungry," the Hero Twins offered.

"Always!"

And so they shot a bird from the sky for the giant to feast upon, yet as they turned the carcass over the flame, Hun-apu coated it with poisonous mud.

Without a thought, Cabrakan devoured the feast and rose, but already the poison had taken him. Teetering, losing sight, the Earthsunder collapsed. Mountains crumbled a final time. The valley became his tomb.

Yet vengeance is a cycle. Blood for blood, and a Titan is not so easily slain. The destroyer of mountains cannot be buried beneath stone, and Cabrakan's pained slumber is at an end. Bursting free, he now thunders across the field of war, seeking the Twins that played him for a fool. Why stop at mountains when Cabrakan can destroy Gods?

Conquest has to be his weakest mode. I've seen people do work in clash and joust with this God.
I've seen people build him with power and like two defensive items and obliterate a god with two moves.
Why is he so effective in solo lane? I've seen him in solo 3 straight ranked games In a row.

He's alright in solo because he has decent lane clear, survivability and kill potential. He's also got a pretty decent late game when you have a lot of farm and gold with him in solo, he basically comes out like a strong magical warrior. IMO Cabrakan is underrated. He's not good all the time, but he wrecks certain gods and comps really hard.

Who would some of his best and worst match ups be? Just Tyr maybe? That's all I can think of warrior wise

I honestly think he is completely useless as a support, however he is one of the best solo lane picks cause he brings so much... Early game his damage is terrifying and late game he still hits hard. Top that off with enough cc to completely run a team-fight with the help of an effective mage to deal AOE damage and he is a great pick for the entire game. Plus he can seem damn near unkillable after the ethereal staff comes into play.

I've been finding him very useful in conquest as support and solo. He's also alot of fun in arena and ungodly good in assault. Check out MY GUIDE HERE if you're curious.

I actually think that his stuns are useful if you're paired with an adc that knows how to play. Plus, after quite some practice, I've managed to use the ult as a way to separate my teammates from the enemy. Plus, using the satisfying speed boost from your 1, you can easily trap the enemy with your ult, stun him and cause a bit of damage before your team deals the rest.

Yes, he's weak and not that useful as a solo character, but his team play is really useful. A well placed stun can break any strategies.

As a final note. Yes, his 3 sucks. Only useful for the tremble effect which is borderline boring, the damage output is weak and you are only an easy target for a tornado or any AoE attack. Buff the 3 and this guardian will be fine.

Anyone else so far finding Cabrakan to me so far the most useless Guardian in the game? xD

I find his 3 underwhelming, and his 1-2 are SLIGHTLY useful but seem rather pointless for how short the stun is on both, and his ultimate..well, you'll most likely end up smashing a wall by accident trying to basic attack an enemy with your one, though 3 combos slightly better with it.
