Nu Wa's Lore

Smite God Nu Wa When two warring Gods shattered the World Pillar, Heaven and Earth dangerously shifted, and Armageddon was unleashed. Firestorms, floods, and bloodthirsty monsters ravaged the land and stole the lives of more than can be counted. In ages past, Nu Wa, Guardian of Heaven and Earth, hand-crafted all people from clay. They were her creations, her children, her responsibility.

As the Earth shuddered and broke, and the skies turned black with ash, Nu Wa forged five mystic stones, one for each of the elemental forces of nature: Earth, Water, Fire, Wood, and Metal. With the power of these stones, she slew a gargantuan tortoise, severed its legs, and raced to the broken World Pillar. One leg she used to prop the Heavens aloft and with the elemental stones, she sealed it in place. Balance between Heaven and Earth was restored, but the world was never the same. Skies cleared, but the stars had shifted. Seas retreated, but rivers drained westward. Everything leaned, but the End was averted.

In the years that followed, Nu Wa and her brother, Fu Xi, took the throne of China. They ruled with wisdom and ushered in an age of recovery and prosperity, for which she is adored and worshipped to this day.

Yet, the skies grow dark once more and chaos threatens to engulf the land. Gods from all Pantheons have chosen Earth as a battleground, trading blows with the same thoughtless fervor that destroyed the World Pillar so long ago. Determined to prevent such calamity from repeating, Nu Wa has summoned the elemental stones once more. For she is the Guardian of Heaven and Earth; all mankind are her creations, her children, her responsibility.

I guess its just me, then, because I haven't been in a match including a Nu Wa other than myself for at least a couple months. Maybe I don't play as often as I should? I guess, if there really isn't much of a change other than just Spear of Desolation, I'll just use one of the guides already here.

This is also a reason why several gods guides are pretty outdated. all guides are community made. No one is getting paid to make them. All fire sites are sort of hit by this. but because smitefire is smaller they are hit way worse than Dotafire or Mobafire.

Well, that's not a problem right here anymore, thanks to Prism. There are still gods that need guides, though. I wonder if I could write one for Scylla.
Probably not, I don't play as her that often.

I would say use Spear of Desolation in place of a pen item just for Nu Wa since her Clay Soldiers already reduce protections.

ok a few things.

1) Nothing really changes for the build, except for maybe Spear of Desolation, which I am pretty sure you can decide for yourself.

2) Asking for season 3 guides wont make them appear any quicker unless it already exists.

3) Nu Wa is far from forgotten, just not as used, although with this meta she is really good imo with no more actual "beads" per say. And would you waste purification on Nu Wa or Ymir?

I build her with polynomicon... it ties all of her abilities together and can load out a LOT of damage.

Actually she works well as a tank, I heard.

She does. In fact, that's how I play her - support/tank.

I see Nu Wa as an extremely powerful first pick, as she can fill every single meta position. Mid? she's a mage. Solo? still build basic attacks ofc, and the crystal passives help with sustain. Jungle? look at the top guide here. Carry? she's basic-attack based. She can do the role as well as Chronos. Support/Tank? team invis, zoning, ranged stun and a powerful slow/zone? yeah, she can work tanky.

By taking her as a first pick, you give no info whatsoever to the enemy about a strategy, as well as giving them basically nothing to counterpick, reversing the pick cycle: team 2 now picks and team 1 now counterpicks, giving team 1 an advantage.

They won't, Spiritun. She doesn't scale off physical in any way, even her basic attacks scale off MP. Building physical items would be a waste.
