We made two branches of crit items; for hunters and warriors.
Hunter Crit Items
2nd item is a crit attack item called Ridill(name subject to change also Regins(Norse dwarf) sword).
Rank 1 adds 15 physical power and 10% crit chance. Rank 2 adds 25 physical power and 20% crit chance. Rank 3 adds 35 physical power and 30% crit chance.n The passive is every kill adds .5% crit chance and .25 physical power for 20 stacks at full power(full stacks) for a total of 45 physical power and 40% crit chance(may need to lower numbers or remove power stacks).
Quick note give the defense item to Geb and crits are screwed(Geb is such a pain).
Passive - You auto attacks reduce all of the target's attributes by 5 (ALL attributes. All of them. Protections, crit chance, movement speed etc. By a flat 5, not 5%)
Passive: Your critical hits gain 15% penetration, does not stack with Titan's Bane. This is meant to be an early game crit item with some utility, like Asi.
Passive: Your basic attacks steal protections from the enemy hit, up to three stacks.
Melee: 6 per stack
Ranged: 4 per stack
1st item will be a crit defense item i'll call it Ancile(name subject to change also sacred shield of Mars).
Rank 1 adds 10 physical protections. Rank 2 adds 25 physical protections. Rank 3 adds 35 physical protections. The passive reduces damage taken from crits by 25%(item not nearly as good as gebs passive).
Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi (Lit. Grasscutting sword)
25/35/45 phys. power
30/40/50 phys. defence
10/15/20% crit chance
10/15/20 phys. pen
final cost: 2975g
Halberd of Grace: +5/10/25% crit chance
+20/40/60 magical protections
+0/4/8% movement speed.
Cost: 500/1350/2280 gold.
Passive: 20% of your magical protections are converted into physical power.
The Blooddrinker: +5/10/15% lifesteal.
+10/20/30 physical power.
+10/20/30% crit chance.
Cost: 900/1700/2750 gold.
Passive: You gain 15% more lifesteal on your next basic attack after using an ability.
That ridill item. With Malice and Deathbringer. 100 percent crit rate. With a massive 45 physical power. This is what I mean. That is absolutely insane. Shouldn't you want to pick this over malice. In other words. There would have to be a cap.

I agree with sub, these r good item ideas. They might not be acceptable in the present form as hi rez must have a balance mechanism themselves but the problem is how can we communicate these ideas to hi-rez. Through reddit? tats unfair for this site.

That seems more like a problem with Ridill itself, don't you think? Compared to other 50 power items, Deathbringer lacks CDR or lifesteal (talking about raw stats here, not passives), and Rage used be a trade off for power since it offered so little. Alas, Malice.
But I agree that a cap is needed. 75% sounds good.

I totally agree that it would have been a problem with Ridill itself. However, like you said a cap is NEEDED. Otherwise you would severely limit how many crit chance items could be added. Like the situation we are already in.
As for the crit cap discussion;
Lifesteal doesn't have a cap. Doesn't mean that if you go 100% lifesteal with Bloodforge Asi devourer's gloves Brawler's Beat Stick and Soul Eater you'll be an OP mother******. With that being said, I really won't mid having a cap on 75% crit chance.

Well...this seems like a nice concept but I have two words to say: Frostbound Hammer and Qin's Sais.
Then maybe make it only apply on-hit effects without the damage. Although i t might be useless. And if you fear the Frostbound Hammer comboed with it we can make it not apply. But if it's useless/broken, I'll pass on my idea.
Can we move next to a magical defense item discussion?
Just throwing an idea for the mystical mark and Telkhines Ring - we could make them deal 40 + 1 * your level damage. That way they won't fall off drastically late game.
