Ratatoskr dashes forward, damaging and slowing enemies for 3s. Dart pierces through minions and stops at the first god hit. Also, Dart's cooldown is reduced by 1s for each enemy god hit by Flurry or Acorn Blast.

Ratatoskr shoots a blast of three acorns forward in a cone, each dealing damage. Enemies hit by multiple acorns take 40% less damage on each acorn, down to a minimum of 20% damage. Enemies hit by 3 acorns are stunned for 1s.

Ratatoskr charges up then leaps from the ground to a branch above his head. He may jump to 2 more branches before choosing a landing location. Upon landing he deals damage and Knocks up enemies. Through the Cosmos can be canceled or timed out from any of the branches, causing Ratatoskr to strike down at the current target location.

Introduction

Hey everyone! I'm OMGASIA, casual Smite addict. While I know how to enjoy all casual game modes, I mostly play Joust and Arena. I’ve decided to start getting basic guides up for new Gods as they are released so there is a starting point for players who weren’t able to test them on the PTS. This isn't meant to be a definitive end all be all on Ratatoskr . This is the way I've enjoyed playing him so far, and possibly others will enjoy as well!

Aiieee that little ladybug!

Pros and Cons

Pros:

Extremely mobile even in combat.
Really fun and unique kit.
Abilities can be customized to each match.
He is so insanely cute! Who would want to kill him?

Cons:

Fairly squishy.
Kit is very complex, so mastering him takes time and patience.
One item slot is taken up by his passive.
His cuteness doesn't actually prevent enemy gods from killing him. Oh well.

Passive – Acorn of Yggdrasil

is probably one of the most in depth passives in the game. One of your item slots will be taken up by an acorn. You can alter your abilities by upgrading this acorn. You can upgrade the acorn in the item shop anywhere on the map. The acorn cannot be sold for another item, even another acorn.

You'll find all the acorns here. Each ability section will also have its applicable acorn within for simplicity.

Blue Acorn

is the stepping stone to your penetration acorns. The penetration acorns alter your . doesn't alter that ability just yet, but it does make your Flurry of Acorns slow all targets hit.

Sapphire Acorn

changes your so all your acorns stick. They can stick to the enemy god or just hang in the air at their max distance. After two seconds they'll explode! You can use this to set up traps or to turn your enemies into little ticking bombs. If an enemy god runs back into his team with these little guys on him he can do damage to his teammates, too!

Emerald Acorn

changes your so every acorn that hits an enemy heals you. This is great if you need more sustain or survivability. Combine it with another lifesteal item and you can heal very efficiently. If you're using it against one enemy god you'll get the most lifesteal benefit by being right on top of him so all your acorns hit.

Yellow Acorn

is the stepping stone to your Cooldown Reduction (CDR) acorns. Your CDR acorns alter . does nothing for , but it makes your Flurry of Acorns deal more damage.

Topaz Acorn

alters so it can stun enemy gods. In order to stun a god, you must through the god two times within 10 seconds. Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be two times in a row. You could through God 1, then through God 2, and back to God 1 to stun him.

Opal Acorn

augments your with lightning! Up to four bolts of lightning will shoot your enemies as you dash by. Gods will take priority over minions. These bolts can crit, and apply on-hit effects! Basically, any items that are triggered by basics can be triggered by your lightning.

Other Items To Consider

When in game you'll find that just sticking with only one build won't always suit your needs. When you substitute one item for another you should pay attention to what you're losing vs what you're gaining. Do you want to give up a little power for that added protection? Is it worth losing the lifesteal to get a little CC immunity? This all depends on the flow of the game and your playstyle.

Mix and Match Builds

Ratatoskr is a very complex god. There are many ways to build him depending on how you upgrade your acorns. These builds are versatile and efficient, but I in no way claim that these are the best builds ever. Feel free to share your builds in the comments!

Since my guides are beginner guides I've gone as simplistic as I can with the builds. I don't want anyone to feel that the build they chose to start with forced them into an acorn that they didn't want to use or vice versa. With such small difference in these builds, you can easily alter as needed.

Thanks. And yes, it's not a secret I copy from my old guides so I can actually get them out in time for the gods. Usually I catch things like that though. I'll look into it again when I have the time (been very busy with work and real life.) Sorry for the inconvenience!

His damage on his ult was pretty disgusting but it was nerfed. It's more of a means to escape and or get in a fight. I think maxing his ult last is perfectly reasonable.

So I'm going to do some *****ing about not lvling the ult. well the area is pretty big meaning hitting multiple enemies deals even more damage and sometimes the damage can be enough for an execute.

and because the distance he can cover is pretty big it's easy to help out lanes when they are getting ganked or multiple people are (and because they won;t see it coming that fast it will be easier to hit them all.

gonna end the *****ing part here XD it's still a good guide though
