Build Summary

Starting Items

Notes Start with Book of Souls as we'll be rushing Book of Thoth to begin stacking the item as soon as possible.

Why no starter item? By not starting with a starting item allows you to pick and choose any start upgrade you might need in the late game. The reason behind this once you choose a starter like Conduit Gem you are stuck with only two options so if you need a defensive starter like Sentinel's Embrace, you'll be unable to pick up the item.

Aphrodite's Skill Order Notes The max order is as follows, prioritize maxing Love Birds by level 9 for maximum wave clear, damage, and healing, followed by Back Off! for damage and cc, Kiss for the movement speed, stun, and jealousy damage, and Undying Love for the immunity.

As of the current map, taking Kiss at level 2 instead of Back Off! is optimal as both junglers show up at mid by then, being able to provide sustain and possible damage increase in a potential 2v2 is far superior. A niche situation is taking Love Birds at level 5 instead of Undying Love, but the safety of the ultimate is generally a better option.

When choosing to start putting levels in Undying Love depends on personal playstyle/preference. You can either choose to start maxing it after Back Off! or after Kiss. I personally prefer to begin putting levels into it after Back Off! as protecting your hyper carry in the late game becomes crucial and having a longer invulnerability duration can make or break the outcome.

Early Game

Notes On your first back of 1150 gold, you'll finish Book of Thoth. It's important to finish this item soon as possible and getting it stacked will benefit Aphrodite quite nicely. The item provides a high amount of power and mana making it a great option to make up for the loss of power by building Sentinel's Embrace.

Shoes of Focus are the best boots for Aphrodite as it provides a good amount of mana, power and most importantly cool-down reduction to which the Goddess of Love, adores.

Mid Game

Notes Spear of Desolation is currently being raved as the best item in the game due to its passive effecting both basic abilities and ultimate cool-down which makes the item very versatile.

The addition of 10% magical penetration on Rod of Tahuti makes it always a great pick up considering the high damage it brings. On top of that, the passive works on Love Birds' healing on both yourself and your Soulmate.

Late Game

Notes Sentinel's Embrace is currently underrated in normal smite play, however, it's quickly picking up a storm in high elo and among pro players such as Venenu. The item is incredibly stat efficient making it the best defensive item in-game, especially as you'll be splitting 50/50 resistances with your hunter.

Obsidian Shard is very cheap and provides 20% magical pen base and 10% extra on your first ability every 10 seconds, making the item great against tanks in the late game.

Introduction

There are too few words to describe the radiance, the magnificence, the inequitable glory of Aphrodite, Goddess of Beauty. So wondrous is she to behold that one look can inspire tears, desire, jealousy, and love. While the battlefield is no place for the fairest of all, you too can learn to turn heads and break hearts with this mid Aphrodite guide!

This guide is set up so it will shift from character knowledge (Abilities, Sequence, Mechanics, Combos) to Gameplay (Itemization, Relics, Laning, Team-fighting, match-ups). It will also chronologically move from before the game to the late game with some extra features thrown in at the end.

If you enjoy this guide, make sure to leave me a like on the guide, and a comment about what you enjoyed. If you didn't enjoy the guide, please let me know what you disagree with or any criticism at all as it helps improve my guides! Anyways, hope you enjoy my guide on mid Aphrodite! ♥

PROS
+ High Sustain
+ Good Damage
+ Great Peel

Aphrodite is a utility-orientated mage whose's strengths rely on having one of the highest healing potentials in the game and excels at keeping one hyper-carry alive even during the riskiest of fights through her peeling abilities Back Off! and Undying Love.

While the Goddess of Beauty provides a high amount of utility, she also can provide a decently high amount of damage through Love Birds and Back Off!. A unique mechanic to Aphrodite is Soulmate which is accessed through Kiss. While having a Soulmate, Back Off! can resonate off her Soulmate, making her a great God to pair with Assassins and Warriors.
CONS
- Immobile
- Squishy
- Weak Early

Aphrodite's biggest weakness as a Goddess is that she is immobile and very squishy. While being able to provide an enormous amount of utility, she lacks an escape making movement speed items such as Doom Orb, Rod of Asclepius and Winged Blade great items to pick up on her to help supplement for her weakness.

While Aphrodite has a strong late game, her early game is quite weak as most mid laners can out clear her until she has 3 points into Love Birds, another downside to her early game is lack of mana and cool-down reduction making her abilities costlessly and have an high cool-down.

Preparation

Aphrodite gains 4 Physical Protection and 4 Magical Protection for each friendly or enemy god within 70 feet of her.
Aphrodite's passive is called Center of Attention and is activated whenever the Goddess is near an ally and/or enemy god. The passive is pretty self-explanatory and doesn't require that much thought. This passive helps Aphrodite have more survivability where she normally wouldn't have it.

However, using and abusing the passive to gain information is key. As mentioned in her passive she'll gain protections whenever within 70 feet of an ally and/or ENEMY god. This can be indicated by the hearts that will appear on her passive. You can use this to tell the following things; a gank from the enemy jungle/support incoming, a possible ambush or invade. You DO NOT need to physically see them for the passive to work.

Aphrodite blows a kiss to an allied god, making them her soul mate and giving them both increased movement speed. If it hits an ally, it has a reduced 1s cooldown. If the kiss hits an enemy god, they are Stunned and Aphrodite's soul mate gets jealous, increasing their damage. Also, 70% of all Mana regenerated by Aphrodite is restored to her soul mate.
Kiss is the crux of Aphrodite's kit as the ability ties into her interactions with another allied god called "Soulmate". Kiss grants allies access to bonus movement speed, mana regeneration, damage and a slow from Back Off!, sustain from Love Birds and invurnability/CC removal from Undying Love.

Kiss also provides a damage increase to her soulmate whenever she hits an enemy god stunning them. The best way to utilize this is to pair Aphrodite up with a front liner like an Assassin or Warrior who'll make proper use of the increased damage. You can also use this ability to peel for your soulmate or other allies.

Be very mindful of using Kiss offensively as it places it on a high cool-down making this spell very punishing if you missed it. The is especially bad if you're soulmate breaks the link or an ally needs help as you'll be unable to assist them. I highly recommend only using Kiss aggressively in ganks, chasing down enemy gods, and to peel for yourself and/or allies

Agitated by all the attention, Aphrodite commands enemies to get away from her, doing damage around her, slowing them by 25% for 2s and knocking them back to 25 units from her.

If Aphrodite has a soul mate, an explosion originates on them in addition, dealing the same damage as well as slowing enemies. If an enemy would be hit by both blasts, they will only be affected by the one originating from Aphrodite.
Back Off! is your primary damage tool and secondary peeling spell. The spell is extremely strong when paired with an assassin as together you'll deal a heavy amount of burst damage especially potent against squisher and/or low health targets.

An important thing to note is that only the Back Off! that resonates from Aphrodite will knockback enemies. This is actually a good thing as the knockback can cancel certain allied soulmate abilities such as Fenrir's Brutalize. The best way to utilize the knockback is for self peel and peeling for other allies, as the slow from your soulmate will allow them to catch up to their target.

Aphrodite calls forth a flock of beautiful doves that fly forward in the area in front of her. The doves circle around all enemies in the path, damaging enemies every .5s for 3s.

Aphrodite and her soul mate also receive healing when cast.
Love Birds serves as Aphrodite's primary clear tool and form of sustain for both herself and her soulmate. Because of Love Birds, the Goddess of Love has some of the highest healing potential in the game making her extremely potent at keeping a hyper-carry alive even during the most dangerous fights.

The best method to getting the absolute most out of the spell is using it to heal yourself and your soulmate while simultaneously damaging as many enemy champions as possible. Love Birds is best used in small areas with little wiggle room and on top of CCed targets whether it be by Aphrodite herself or allied gods. Often you'll find yourself picking up kills on low health gods who were hit by Love Birds.

The spell is countered by anti-heal such as items; Divine Ruin, Brawler's Beat Stick and Contagion, the relic Cursed Ankh and gods with healing reduction in their kits like Chang'e and Odin. Items like Rod of Asclepius and Rod of Tahuti will increase the Goddess of Love's healing output while Asclepius will help reduce some of the effectiveness of anti heal.

Aphrodite pledges undying love to herself and her soul mate. While this is active, her and her soul mate are invulnerable to all damage for a short duration.

All Crowd Control effects are also removed when activated.
Undying Love is Aphrodite's ultimate and the primary survivability spell for herself and her soulmate. When using this spell you'll mainly aim to use it to cleanse crowd control serving like a much lower cool-down Purification Beads for both yourself and your hyper carry. This is an especially potent late game when Undying Love will have a duration of 2 seconds making yourself and your soulmate unstoppable.

When your frontline (mainly an Assassin like Fenrir, Serqet and Ravana for example) dives in, you can use Undying Love to immediately remove any crowd control applied and prevent them from taking significant damage, which is crucial if they dive into two or more enemy gods especially gods with heavy burst damage such Scylla.

Let's talk about some important yet niche mechanics. Undying Love can be used on two allies if the following prerequisite is met; throwing out Kiss whilst using Undying Love or using Kiss immediately after using Undying Love before the animation ends. With the former, the animation of Undying Love will be canceled immediately upon hitting another ally causing the previous Kissed ally to be able to be CCed and damaged, while the new Kiss ally will be invulnerable.

As for the latter, the invulnerability will be applied for the full duration on both ally's once the kiss has hit the second ally, however, this method will only be usable once Undying Love has 4 points in the ability as the Ultimate's duration doesn't last long enough in the early levels.

The max order is as follows, prioritize maxing Love Birds by level 8 for maximum wave clear, damage, and healing, followed by Back Off! for damage and cc, Kiss for the movement speed, stun, and jealousy damage, and Undying Love for the invulnerability duration.

As of the current map, taking Kiss at level 2 instead of Back Off! is optimal as both junglers will show up to mid by level 2. Being able to provide sustain and a possible damage increase is far superior.

Combos are an extremely important aspect of a champion's mastery and the Goddes of Love is no expectation. While Aphrodite has very few combos to utilize, it's still important to know them to get the maximum amount out of her kit.

An important note is that you can animation cancel her abilities in order to put out your spells quicker. To animation cancel, you'll need to immediately auto-attack. By doing this you'll be able to get your spells out more efficiently.

Itemization

The general rule of thumb is that every game will be different so you won't always go for the same build path. In the section below, you'll find the build paths for different situations. Remember that there are times that you can't afford your items and that's completely okay.

Gem of Focus
Like the Archmage's Gem, you'll start with Conduit Gem and upgrade the starter into Gem of Focus. I personally adore this item on Aphrodite as it's passive can be kept at max stacks via swapping your soulmates with Kiss which is on a 1 second cool-down when it hits an ally. 9% increased movement speed and damage and 6% damage reduction while undervalued in the current meta is incrediably strong on a squishy immobile mage such as Aphrodite as it provides her with everything she needs; movement speed, damage, and survivability.

Pendulum of Ages
Start with Sands of Time, then upgrade it at level 20 into Pendulum of Ages at level 20, only do this if you are set on purchasing Pendulum. Pendulum of Ages provides a wooping 20$ cool-down reduction meaning you should consider purchasing this item if you won't be opting into Chrono's Pendant or Breastplate of Valor to make up for the rest of the CDR in the late game. This item synergizes quite nicely in the Book of Thoth build as it's passive increases Aphrodite's magical power by 10 per 10% of available mana. However, with Book of Thoth you'll start Book of Souls to rush Book of Thoth and purchase Pendulum of Ages late game.

Sentinel's Embrace
Do not purchase Sentinel's Gift early as you'll look to purchase the full item, Sentinel's Embrace at level 17. The item is incrediably strong as you'll have two Sentinel's Embraces one being on the guardian and one on yourself. The support will spread their protections among the ***sasin, warrior and themselves while yourself and the Hunter will have 50 protections each, making the Goddess of Love have 70 protections in total from the item making it one of the best if not the best defensive item in the game.

Sundering Axe
Like Sentinel's Embrace, I highly recommend to skip purchasing Warrior's Axe aa a starter item as the item doesn't provide anything useful to a mid laner as getting magical power is far more important for clearing. Consider picking up Sundering Axe if up against tankier compositions where you'll need the item to shred through their health. On top of the damage passive, you gain base protections making you tanky while providing another bit of sustain.

Sacrificial Shroud
Start with Vampiric Shroud then upgrade the item into Sacrificial Shroud at level 20. I recommend purchasing Vampiric Shroud when up against a hunter or another physical threat mid as 20 physical protections is nothing to scoff at. Sacrificial Shroud works quite well with healers as you'll be able to keep your health high while being able to abuse the 15% increased damage from the item's passive.

Shoes of Focus
Shoes of Focus is by far the best boots choice for Aphrodite as it provides 10% cooldown reduction and 250 mana which are things Aphrodite really enjoys having especially in the early game when the Goddess of Love is quite mana hungry and has quite long cool-downs. I highly recommend purchasing these shoes almost always if not always.

Shoes of the Magi
Shoes of the Magi are the higher magical power and lifesteal competitor to Shoes of Focus. While far more niche than it's opposite, it's a decent pick up into builds that will get 40% cooldown reduction through other items and you want to have a bit more magical power than you would have otherwise. The primary downside to these boots is lower mana overall, and the lifesteal isn't as useful with a healer like Aphrodite.

Book of Thoth
Mid-Late Game Scaling
Book of Thoth is scaling item that when completed provides a substantial amount of mana and power which is stats that Aphrodite loves. The main downside to this item is needing to stack it and often will force you to purchase it before boots requiring the player to play safe.

Chronos' Pendant
Abilities Spam
Chronos' Pendant has been a stable pick up in average Aphrodite build as it provides a whooping 20% cool-down reduction and a passive that subtracts 1 second off all spells cool-downs every 10 seconds. This item is amazing to constantly be spamming Love Birds and Back Off! during team-fights.

Charon's Coin
vs. Tanks (Early Game)
Charon's Coin is one of two 20% magical penetration items. This item unlike it's opposite Obisdian Shard must be built early to be able to stack it's passive to gain the full effects. However, stat wise this is better option for Aphrodite but doesn't normally take up a slot in any builds. Best into tanky compositions.

Doom Orb
vs. Double Hunter / Mobility
Doom Orb is best picked into double hunter comps or compositions with champs who can stick onto Aphrodite. However, the movement speed is an invaluable stat for a immobile mage like Aphrodite and is always a good pick up if you want to roam around to help other lanes or your jungler.

Divine Ruin
vs. Healing
Divine Ruin is a must have purchase when the enemy contains healers such as Chang'e, Hel or Guan Yu and/or up against team compositons that want to purchase lifesteal or have the stat in their kit. Anti-heal is important to shut the down gods who rely on healing as much as possible.

Ethereal Staff
vs. Heavy Crowd Control
Ethereal Staff while isn't as powerful as the other options in the damage category, it makes up with survivability stats such as health and 20% crowd control reduction. Against compositions with heavy crowd control or against gods who rely on it such as Kumbhakarna, it becomes an excellent pick-up.

Rod of Tahuti
High Sustain / High Damage
Rod of Tahuti is one of the most powerful items that Aphrodite can pick up as it's passive works on healing as well as damage. Because of this, the Goddess of Love can pick it up to deal an high amount of damage while providing insane heals when herself and/or soulmate are under 50% health.

Spear of Desolation
CDR / Flat Penetration
Spear of Desolation has become a personal favorite flat pen item as it provides cooldown reduction base and through it's passive upon kill/assist. This item rewards an aggressive playstyle with stellar damage, high ability uptime and possibly allowing two Undying Loves per team-fight.

Spear of the Magus
Increased Damage / Utility
Spear of the Magus is the utility flat penetration option that works quite well with Aphrodite as she can Back Off! on her ally allowing them to deal even more damage than they normally would. This best picked up with tankier junglers or being attached to a Warrior, or in builds with high CDR like Chronos' Pendant.

Soul Gem
Sustain / Damage
Soul Gem is a cheap last slot item option before you upgrade your start item. The item is also great for the last bit of cool-down reduction you might need and the damage on the passive is no laughing matter. However, I personally don't enjoy this item on Aphrodite.

Soul Reaver
vs. Health Stacking
Soul Reaver is a great mid to late game pick up for a higher damage output. It's best into health stacking/tankier team composition due to it's passive. It's mana makes it a good option to purchase with Book of Thoth to have it's mana converted to even more power.

Obsidian Shard
vs. Tanks (Late Game)
Obisdian Shard is one of the best last item options as it's relatively cheap and provides 20% magical pentration making it good into teams with magical protection. Thanks to it's passive and in combination with Rod of Tahuti makes the item a great tank buster combo.

Breastplate of Valor
vs. Heavy AD / Replaces Chronos' Pendant
Breastplate of Valor is typically purchased as a third item after your preference of shoes and first item. Chronos' Pendant is either purchased first or otherwise is replaced by Breastplate or skipped entirely. The main oppeal of this item is the unique 20% cool-down reduction. I recommend purchasing it against heavy AD compositions where you want to be quite beefy but still want the 20% cool-down reduction.

Celestial Legion Helmet
vs. Arachne, Thor, Hun Batz, Bakasura
Celestial Legion Helm is a niche item that is only picked up in unique situations where you wouldn't build Breastplate of Valor or Lotus Crown. It's best to build this item into AD burst gods like Arachne who can get to easily and stick on you as the intial 75 physical protections (if fully stacked) can save your life. A positive to this item is you don't sacrifice as much damage as if you opted for Breastplate of Valor or Lotus Crown.

Lotus Crown
Hyper Carry Protection
Lotus Crown is one of my most favorite item on healers as it grants a way to provide utility to teammates. Best to pick up Lotus Crown in your third item slot when there is a hyper carry crucial to your win condition you need to protect at all costs. Aphrodite is the god to keep a hyper carry alive even during the riskest of fights.

Mantle of Discord
vs. Heavy Burst
Mantle of Discord is a great last item slot either purchased before or after selling your preference of shoes as the survivability can make or break the final fights of the game. This item is best purchased into team compositions where they have both AD and AP burst (for example; Scylla and Set). The primary downside to this item is it's rather expensive.

Rod of Asclepius
vs. Anti Heal / Supportive Playstyle
Rod of Asclepius is a utility item created just for healers such as Aphrodite. The item provides a bit of a counter to anti heal as it's passive increased healing of allies by 20%. Another positive of the item is it provides survivability through health and movement speed which is great for a squishy immobile mage like the Goddess of Love, herself. Best comboed with Lotus Crown but do not purchase this item if an ally has Caduceus Shield as the passives don't stack.
Winged Blade
vs. Slows
Winged Blade is another niche item that should only be picked up when the enemy team constains alot of slows in their kits or make item purchases of the following items; Gem of Isolation, Frostbound Hammer, or Midgardian Mail. A positive to this item is good into heavier magical and crowd control compositons.

Gameplay

Aphrodite's early game is the weakest point of the game for the Goddess of Love for a few reasons; her clear with Love Birds is pretty laughable until she has at least 3 points in the ability, she has very long early cool-downs, very squishy, mana hungry and immobile.

When starting mid-lane in Conquest, you'll start at the Red Buff camp with the Hunter. The Hunter will need to pull aggro from the camp and tank it till the camp gets low. They'll walk out aggro range so the camp will pull back towards mid lane allowing you to finish it off and get to mid lane on time and healthy. It can be rather punishing as a mid laner if it gets screwed up as you'll miss minions and loss health putting you at a disadvantage against your laner.

When you arrive in lane, you'll want to use Love Birds on the minion wave, auto-attack the backline creeps then the front line. A majority if not all mid laners will have priority over Aphrodite as their early clears are stronger than the Goddess of Love. Typically by the second wave, both junglers will be arriving by mid lane from the Speed Buff side. It's incredibly important to track the enemy jungler as Aphrodite is immobile and has no escape so playing safe is the best option till she has full boots on line.

If possible, you'll farm your side camps with your jungler as otherwise, you'll typically put yourself in danger by attempting to farm alone in the open until you have 3 points in Love Birds. Once you achieved this, you'll be able to clear waves then rotate to other lanes, camps and help your jungler if possible.

During the early game, look at your passive icon regardless if you are under the tower, farming side camps or roaming around the map. The icon will add a heart whenever you are near an enemy or allied god, regardless if you are unable to see them. By abusing this mechanic, you'll know when to retreat from a potential ambush.

When team-fighting as Aphrodite it's extremely important to know who in your team composition will be the primary soulmate. I highly recommend being attached to either an assassin like Fenrir or a warrior like Achilles. (The following gods are great candidates for Soulmate; Fenrir, Sobek, Serqet, Ymir, Achilles, Set, Ne Zha, Erlang Shen, Guan Yu, King Arthur, Cu Chulainn, Kali, and Odin to name a few.)

The reasoning behind pairing up with either the assassin or warrior is because they're the front line allowing you to stay in the backline while being able to provide damage through Back Off!. If your Soulmate is primarily a Hunter during the team-fight, you will get little value in comparison.

Aphrodite is best paired with an assassin as the two can deal insane damage together when the assassin dives in with a Back Off! following them. This is especially good if they dive into a group of enemies stack up as you'll deal a great amount of damage to many gods. Another reason to attach to an assassin is you'll be able to protect them with Undying Love and sustain through Love Birds as most assassins are either squishy or will get instantly crowd controlled upon diving in.

It's highly recommended to not use Kiss aggressively especially early in the fight as once it's on cool-down it prevents Aphrodite from being able to help other allies in danger especially if her soulmate link breaks. Prioritize healing the person in combat as healing a retreating teammate offers little value as the ally will likely recall or completely back way from the fight.

Only link to the Hunter if the enemy assassin dives on to them and you'll need to peel for them by using Kiss and other spells. Using Kiss defensively is okay if has the potential to save a teammate like a hyper carry that's crucial to your win condition.

Main Tips: Link to a Front Liner (Hypercarry) like an Assassin, Only use Kiss aggressively if chasing an retreating enemy or defensively to save your Soulmate.

Mention Shell as an alternative to Aegis

For Mid Lane Conquest Aphrodite, I cannot recommend Magic Shell to Aegis. If I consider adding in info per game mode, then Shell would be added.

Magic Shell isn't uncommon in mid at a high level into some matchups, in particular it's picked up for the upgrade providing 2 block stacks.

More beautiful by far than anything I could ever create. I wish I was artistic and could use Photoshop or GIMP well.

I think I agree with BD's build assessment, but I only have concept on that, not actual use.

I don't think it's worth a point skip at level 8/9 to put a 2nd point into the ult. That means nothing at level 8, with max Birds at 9 + 1 ult giving an extra 0.3s. Really think it's going to be of more use to put a 2nd point into Back Off! at 8 for the extra damage and finish Birds at 9. And while I see the obvious benefit of a (slightly) longer ult duration, in most cases I would expect you'd continue to get more overall use by maxing the 2 before putting more points in the ult, especially when your relic choices are the standard Beads + Aegis.

In your skill leveling sequence in the body of the guide, if you do really insist on point skipping, I think with your custom grid you can actually show this, rather than defaulting to what it shows through the build creator.

Although you have it (way down) in the body of your guide, I think a more immediate mention of Divine Ruin as a situational add - whether in the notes or in a separate category of items at the top - is important. I didn't read every single thing at the top, but I didn't see mention of it (likely as a situational alternative to Spear of Desolation).

I think it would be good to note that Back Off!, due to the knockback, can disrupt a teammate's combos/damage, and or push the enemy away from your team, so it's important to be mindful of the effect in a given situation.

Overall, obviously a very nice job, and you show good knowledge with your descriptions.

I will admit that my reasoning behind the skill order was based on prior to the nerfs made many months ago with the removal of the scaling cooldown on Undying Love. After reviewing your statements, you'd only be getting the Invurnability increased which in hindsight isn't as useful as more damage through Back Off! overall will get far more value. I'll be looking to adjust the guide to reflect the information brought before me.

While I can agree that mentioning Divine Ruin as a situational item, it wouldn't replace Spear of Desolation in the current meta as the item is extremely strong. If I was to opt for Divine Ruin it would be swapped with Chronos' Pendant or in the Chronos' Pendant build (All Viable Builds section) as it would make up for the loss of CDR from Deso.

It's mentioned in the Abilities section that Back Off! knockback (that resonates from Aphrodite) can disrupt/cancel a teammate's damage even providing an example.

Definitely an upvote from me although I would personally change the starter. Either upgrade into Sacrificial Shroud or Gem of Focus is the way I would go because you're not really hitting these big bursts on enemies after 20 seconds like Scylla would, you're basically spamming your heal in teamfights meaning you would either get more value out of the constant 15% damage increase with some physical prots or the movement speed, damage reduction taken and the damage dealt increased. The damage numbers between Archmage's and Focus aren't that far apart so it's a fine option.

Also your return to table of contents button isn't working :P

I personally do agree with your opinions on Archmage's Gem, as I very much value Gem of Focus on Aphrodite, though with the upcoming "Talons of Tyranny" update, Archmage's Gem may be in a better spot to fit mages as a whole rather than bursty ones like Nu Wa or Scylla. As for Sacrificial Shroud, I haven't played much with it and it's generally been seen as bad in comparison to other options by pros. We'll see what the future holds!

Thanks for letting me know in regards to the Table of Contents button. It has been fixed.

Can I quickly add that basing stuff on the upcoming update might be useful to mention in the title? Talons of tyranny won't drop until the end (23rd) of march. Or were you talking about the bonus update?

I haven't seen pro opinions on Sac shroud myself but if you test the numbers it always does more damage than Archmage's, Focus and Pendulum. As long as you have a way to bring back the 5% HP lost you're fine.

You could even consider Pendulum of Ages, meaning you don't need to waste an item spot on Chronos' Pendant just for extra CDR and can get a more useful item.
