This build is what you would build in an standard Hachiman; primarily in ADC, but the basic idea would be the same on Mid, Solo and even Jungle if youre brave. With just a little change on the starters. I will mainly explain ADC and put a little section destined to the other roles later.
First, i wanna explain what are you looking at.
The first 6 items + 2 consumables are what you will go most of the time + consumables.
The last 6 items are either upgrades (Like Death´s Toll onto Death's Temper or Ninja Tabi into Deathbringer in late game) or alternate options (like Asi intead of Devourer's Gauntlet) + more consumables, and of course, relics. Theres also a few situational items in the Extended Build Section.
For the starter, you would go Death's Toll and either
Short Bow or
Light Blade plus some potions. This allows you to get some health back from your early fights and sustain waves easily, without needing to build lifesteal till 4th item.
We will also be building Ninja Tabi on both builds.
Warrior Tabi are great too, but i prefer them since the only attack speed Hachiman has is on its
Heavenly Banner and you cant position yourself in it reliably.
Whenever we hit 20; that being after or before any of these following items, we should upgrade Death's Toll into
Death's Temper to get that final bonuses on attack speed and damage.
CRITICAL
This is the build you would go when theres not many tanks and/or damage reflection such as Shield of Thorns and
Hide of the Nemean Lion.
After the starter and boots, we can upgrade that Short Bow on
Atalanta's Bow to get that early penetration, attack speed and mobility, but
Ichaival is a good option too if youre feeling pressured to tone down the incoming damage of the other ADC.
As a 4th item we should start building some stacks on Devourer's Gauntlet to get some lifesteal going, but if youre losing lane or rotating a lot you may want to build
Asi instead so you dont need to clean as many lanes/get kills to get the power and lifesteal online.
For 5th item we should do some more penetration and attack speed with The Executionerr to shred the tankier targets, but you can also go
Qin's Sais if the enemies are building too much health.
For the 6th slot we should start building some critical chance with Fail-Not wich synergizes fantastically with
Mounted Archery , but if you feel like you are not able to ult aggresively realiably, you can go Wind Demon to get a more stable critical chance.
At last, we should sell our boots, and buy Deathbringer to amplify our critical hits damage and buy
Elixir of Speed to compensate for the lost speed.
PENETRATION
This is the build you would go when you cant afford to go crit since theres too many tanks or you just want a more reliable source of damage and not depend on critical change rng.
Up until Devourer's Gauntlet it would be the same, except instead of
Ichaival as an alternative, you can go
The Executioner, wich would amplify your power spike greatly to the expense of some safeness provided by the movement speed on
Atalanta's Bow and the power reduction on
Ichaival.
After that you would normally go Qin's Sais to shred targets with high HP, but if you are already ahead i'd suggest
Odysseus' Bow to get a huge boost in attack speed and damage.
On the last slot you can either buy a survivability item, such as Relic Dagger to get some hp and get our
Purification Beads,
Aegis Amulet or Bracer of Undoing faster, or, you can build
Silverbranch Bow if you already have a lot of attack speed to get that power bonus when you go overcap.
At last, we should sell our boots for The Crusher to get more damage and pen, without losing the attack speed of our boots, and, buy the
Elixir of Speed for the lost movement speed.
These are items that are more game dependant than the main ones, so i made a little section for them.
Gilded Arrow would be built if you feel like you want a slower, safer start.
This would be upgraded into Ornate Arrow if you are behind and
Diamond Arrow if you are ahead at level 20. The rest of the build should follow the same rules except you would change the order lifesteal and the early attack speed items, since this starter lacks sustain.
Shadowsteel Shuriken and
Toxic Blade are your options for antihealing in the Critical and Penetration build respectively.
You should only change one of your lifesteal items with Bloodforge if you are extremely ahead on the game, to increase your snowball potential.
Magi's Cloak and
Spirit Robe are your defensive options if the enemy has a lot of hard CC.
Berserker's Shield its an alternate starter option if you want a little bit of extra protections if you wanna go super aggresive/defensive.
Death's Embrace should be what you upgrade your starter too instead if you are not getting kills reliably.
Winged Blade should help you get away from slow heavy team compositions.
Witchblade would be your go to if theres a lot of enemies that are dependant on attack speed.
Manikin Scepter would be used on ADC/Mid or Jungle as an early aggression item that would also require lifesteal after it, same as the arrow start. It should generally be upgraded into
Manikin Mace but
Manikin Hidden Blade is an option if you wanna focus on nuking objectives fast.
Eye Of The Jungle is another Jungle option (though it can potentially be used in the other roles if you are looking to invade or to get the farm from most of your camps). Gives you early warding of your buffs + some attack speed. Should be upgraded into
Seer Of The Jungle for objective burning or
Protector Of The Jungle for some heavy protection and attack speed bonuses on the Jungle.
Theres a last option if you are going jungle, wich is Bumba's Dagger, then upgraded into
Bumba's Spear to get some sustain from the jungle enemies themselves.
STRATEGY
Ideally, with this build you could already try to get some early kills around your 3rd item, as you would already have your sustain, your lifesteal and an attack speed item.
Try to poke with your Eagle Eye and
Heavenly Banner.
Also make sure you always have your Iaijutsu or your
Mounted Archery ready to use in case you need to escape of difficult situations.
Try to position yourself in your Heavenly Banner everytime you can afford it to get that bonus attack speed and damage.
TEAMMATES
Hachiman appreciates extra CC coming from his allies as well as some early support in the lane.
Therefore gods like, for example, Geb, who can both shield him from trouble, apply tons of CC and rotate early to jungle camps or to Hachiman itself, pair well with him.
Some early ganks from gods like Arachne (who even benefits greatly from Heavenly Banner bonuses) on the jungle also help a lot to stop some of the aggression Hachiman may have to face and potentially get some kills.
