Nox extends her shadow, rooting and crippling a single enemy god in place and dealing damage over time. Nox must channel and stay within range to maintain hold on the target, but may cancel this ability early. Nox will continue to channel this ability even if she is hit by Crowd Control effects. While channeling this ability Nox suffers no directional movement penalty.

Early game amulet purchasing

When you purchase the amulet do not purchase the upgraded version just the one that cost 0 coins. Wait until have have enough gold for boots and upgrade to purchase upgraded amulet.

Item Purchasing

I find that this build works well when purchasing each item at Tier Three, but you can buy items as you please.

Late game purchasing

So the last item you will purchase the the chronos’ pendant. Sell your blessing item and purchase pendant.

Final build

On final buil the only reason pendant is first item of build is because you’re going to be selling your blessings to be able to purchase final item.

Final build is decent, well mostly. Bancroft's Talon is cheap power, but Nox doesen't benefit from the lifesteal that much, I would rather get Ethereal Staff to improve her survivability. Chronos' Pendant last item with only the 10% CDR from Specialist's Blessing is too long to delay it. I would get it sooner, and also get another CDR item like Spear of Desolation (if you don't get Shoes of Focus). Shaman's Ring is an ok choice, Nox is mostly single target, the movement speed can also help her dodge abilties while casting Shadow Lock, even though the item's movement speed is probably more useful in conquest. Spear of the Magus is a great item on Nox, but not necessarily core, as double tanks or just very high protections on the other team can necessitate a Obsidian Shard, but indeed Spear of the Magus is typically the superior option. Shoes of the Magi isn't necessarily core on Nox, she works allright with Shoes of Focus as well.

So im suggesting building like this:
Start: Mage's Blessing or Specialist's Blessing, Chalice of Healing, Chalice of Mana (your style). I myself would start with Mage's Blessing, Spellbook, 2 Healing Potion, 1 Mana Potion (you should be taking mana buff for early mana and CDR).

Full build I would go: Book of Thoth, Shoes of the Magi, Chronos' Pendant, Spear of the Magus, Ethereal Staff, Shaman's Ring, Spear of Desolation (after selling the blessing you had for start).

If you need antiheal badly, I would get Divine Ruin instead of Spear of Desolation (and would get it earlier, like 3rd item) and swap Shoes of the Magi for Shoes of Focus.

Also, scrap getting Meditation Cloak, Purification Beads is almost always the better option.

From what I have seen, Specialist's Blessing will be evolved after 10 Shadow Lock and Siphon Darkness combos on a god, this doesent include other enemies being hit in Siphon Darkness, or Nox using her Shadow Step or Night Terror, so I would believe that this item wouldn't take too long to stack at all if your team is aggressive and you help by casting your abilites.

Just started playing more Nox myself, and was wondering how Warlock's Staff is on her. I've had pretty good success with it on her, but most of those were arena matches.

Depends on the game mode. For Arena it's not really worth the time stacking. Can be a decent option on joust and a good option in conquest.

Bancrofts isnt terrible on her since she does ticking damage. Does the lifesteal count for each tick or is that a no?

Should be per tick but I haven't tested it (since I don't build lifesteal on Nox).

Thanks for this comment. Helped me a lot. You listed 7 items for your final build. Would item 6 be shamans ring OR spear of desolation?

Oops my mistake. Item 6 can be either one.
