Since the day I created this account and today's Kukulkan was known as Ao Kuang (No not the weird one that playing with swords) But if you see the "new" ao kuang's ult you'll see what i'm talking about (the Visual dragon there).
I know that you're going to read the same thing couple of chapters down here but I wanted to tell you why I chose this name but this "Unique" build :
Every time I played a costume game (3vs3 Joust or 5vs5 Conquest) When I used the ult and they *Had* around 75% health - they screamed "NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE" and died with cursing me :)
Imagine this picture - Soul Reaver item eff+ the pen from Obsidian Shard + your Magical Power + Kukulkan's Ult = Instant. (words of my friends & enemies, not me.)
So if you're still thinking about "Eww Kukulkan", "Quit Smite" , "Uninstall Noob" and etc
Take a min to think about those poor people that I killed with this Ult or just the skills this AMAZING God can offer you.
So enjoy my build and opinions.

The Relics for thid Build: (Well .. the Relics I choose every match to make this build kicking- ***)
1. Meditation - Kukulkan skills using tons of mana at early game so you should get it as your first relic.
2. Sprint/Sanctuary - You choose relic depends how far your team/ How good you're doing at this game. If you need to push more the towers with the team or need to get fast inside&outside teamfight so pick Sprint.
And if your team retreat-pushed to the team's phoenix so you need to choose sanctuary just to be more careful because if you choose spring at this situation you can die and lose the match beause you can't avoid/block/I don't remmeber the word for it and refill life+mana and get back to the match before the match ends.
Theres no need for cdr because after the 3rd item you should be able to rekt everything around mid lane and starting the late game buildYou should notice that I chose "Soul Reaver" before "Book of Thoth" because Soul Reaver passive can make agressive damage at early mid game and cause a great injury to the enemies especially when you hit with the tornado with the passive of this item + Kukulkan's passive + The amount of mana that you get from Soul Reaver will give you a great boost to your damage
There is couple of reasons why im not adding "Polynomicon" into my build:
1. The lifesteal - waste. why? Kukulkan will NEVER put a good use of it unlike other mages like Isis, Sometimes Freya, Scylla and more "Based" lifesteal Gods in the game.
2. The passive of this item - Worthless. if you'll play smart with this build so you don't need +75% Magical power as addional damage to your basic attack.
2 b. If you still think this passive is good so do the next steps:
A - Open Jungle Practice
B - Check this full build and follow it completely until the last item in the build
C - Don't take any buff or pot but stack all of your items "Booth of Thoth and "Warlock's Sash".
D - Use this combo against the Fire giant - 3+2+1+4 (The 2 is for not taking hit from the fire giant while giving him a **** load/Huge amout of damage
E - Come back to me with a comment.
3. Even if you stick with this opinion, instead of which item you will put it?
Every single item in the build has a reason to be there and not just because I "wanted it to be there". :)
4. "Polynomicon" offers you 300 mana but if you follow the build you see that there's no need because the items "Soul Reaver" and "Warlock's Sash" are a better replacement with (I think) a better Passive that should work better with Kukulkan's Passive and him overall.
Well... I created this build on my own around (I guess) the end of Season 1 of Smite and I think this build is pretty awesome since the fact people see Kukulkan as a bad chooice for mid lane at the current with those "health/tanky/idk" meta and every time I got the option to pick him on Regular or Ranked match I Censored.
Even on matched when you have 1 afk on your team, don't worry, I managed to hold 5 people pushing my tower alone and made them to run away and recall or whatever they decided after they took high amount of damage. :)
Q: Buy cdr!
A: nope. You're strong enough to kill everything so fast that you won't notice how much time left for the next ability because the enemy is already dead.
Q: You're not too slow?
A: With Spring + 2nd skill of Kukulkan (I don't remember the skill name) you've 530 movement speed for like 5-6 secs that are more than enough to go back to your tower/push the enemies tower or retreat.
Q: This build not strong enough.
A: I checked the build on "Jungle Practice" and the full build without the fire giant buff or the 3k gold pot (the red one) you're magical damage is 1130 and with both is 1450.
Q: This build is out of meta
A: Really? Please try it before and than leave a comment about it :)
Q: Can you help me to learn this build ?
A: Ofc ! You can catch me up in-game. my nickname is "MeToRaF" .
Q: Why you're not using "Devine Ruin" or "Polynomicon"
A: Go Back 2 chapters up for a full answer for this silly question.
I am not a Professional Smite player but i'm playing and following the game almost since the game beta.
But, sometimes people say things like "this build suck" and more and you know what?
I love this build.
And I think more people should use it in-game matches
And one last thing.
If you have anything to say about this build whether its good or bad leave a comment or PM me (If this site got those options haha :) )
So.. that's my Fav-Personal Kukulkan Build.
Enjoy.

Book of Thoth, Warlock's Sash, Shoes of Focus, Ethereal Staff, Doom Orb, and Rod of Tahuti. This is what I build in Joust, which is where I excel at Kukulkan the most.
A good example is the physical version of this... Hydra's Lament. Which god is it best on? Loki. And he's definitely ability-based.
It's actually a perfect boost of damage after using Zephyr...Zeph is more close-medium range, which means you're in range for a basic attack followup...and it's easier to confirm because the ability slows the enemy. Combine that with the low CD (7 seconds WITHOUT CDR) and you can actually have it proc pretty often.
You don't even need to activate abilities on him to get kills quick and easily.
Yes, Polynomicon isn't useless on him, but since you're mostly using only your 1 and 3, sometimes 4, and not basic attacking, the entire passive of Polynomicon is lost most of the time. The 75 power can be gained from other, more benefitial items. The mana practically isn't necessary since you already have Soul Reaver and Warlock's Sash, and the lifesteal, there's better options. Bancroft's Talon gives more lifesteal and even more power, Divine Ruin can counter healing and since your 3 has a relatively wide range it isn't that hard to proc.
Polynomicon can be used on him, but if you're considering it for gods that go for high damage and need the lifesteal for up close, there are better options. 25 power extra on Bancroft's Talon for only 100 gold more, and 2% extra lifesteal at that, and a passive that is really great in combo with your Ultimate.
Besides, Zephyr's width is very limited. Your chances of missing are usually greater than hitting it. The slow on the Zephyr being able to follow up with a basic attack is purely situational.
Using a fairly standard build ( Book of Thoth -> Shoes of the Magi -> Chronos' Pendant -> Polynomicon -> Spear of the Magus -> Rod of Tahuti ) A Zephyr + Whirlwind + basic attack with Bancroft's Talon in place of Polynomicon does 2184 damage at its maximum 200 power (a rare scenario). Polynomicon in this scenario does 2452 damage. Every time. This damage difference only increases with red buff, fg buff, power pots, etc.
PERSONALLY though I prefer Gem of Isolation since you don't really need the lifesteal all that much and it lets you guarantee your ultimate far more often.
Regarding Loki he's ability based because the most efficient way to maximize his damage output is by maximizing his ability damage (ie: power/penetration > attack speed/crits). The fact that you need to activate his abilities by auto attacking only necessitates the need for 1-2 auto attacks, which is all it should really take regardless (when you consider that his ulti combo typically uses 3 abilities and 2 autos, I think that gets the point across).
Loki is absolutely ability-based...he's got so much burst damage in any of his abilities + the Hydra's Lament passive from 1 basic attack. He's too squishy to box much. His ability scaling on his Aimed Strike, Decoy and Assassinate are 100% or higher, which means building power + pen. That burst from Aimed + Assassinate means you want it up as much as possible, which means CDR. And you absolutely need to activate abilities to get kills quickly...if you don't, and you rely on just basic attacks, you're likely to die pretty quickly.
I'm not sure what you're talking about with regard to the Bancroft's Talon passive being great in combo with KKK's ult...they don't seem to have anything in common. 2% lifesteal isn't really anything at that point, but sure, the passive power increase if you're hurt isn't bad.
I'd say that for the most part, people in practice with Zephyr should be pretty adept at hitting their targets. Just my opinion. But is Poly core? Maybe not...but it's a good item for him.
Loki's abilities usually do nothing, unless you basic attack after activing them, so I see Loki as a basic attack god.
2. By not including Polynomicon in your Kuku build, you're missing out on over
700
free, easy, instant damage, every 5 seconds. Kuku has the absolute highest core power in the game, topping out at 1000 with the proper build not including buffs or potions, making him the most effective user of Polynomicon in the game.2. The item itself is a core item (and I find it more important) because the item offers you 300 mana that used into Kukulkan's passive + the massive eff of it that can deal a great damage
3. Again, by not including Polynomicon I miss basiclly nothing and if you find me wrong I would like to see a picture of it, video or even exp in live. :)
4. If you still think that I should add polynomicon, which item should be replaced by it ?
And most of all - thnx for the comment :)
