This is how you're going to leave base. You're getting bonus basic attack damage and extra MP5 from Hunter's Blessing, and it's passive effect is everything you want. Spiked Gauntlet will give us some sustain and a little bit of physical power, and the potions will also allow us to stay in lane longer and be a bit aggressive.
These are the items you want to buy first for Apollo. Devourer's Gauntlet, at full stacks, will give us 24% Lifesteal and 75 Physical Power, which are quite the numbers. Ninja Tabi will increase our mana by 100, give us another 20 power, 20% attack speed and the common 18% movement speed. Ichaival will give us 30 Physical Power and 30% attack speed, while it's passive makes Apollo assume the role he was born to be, the ultimate boxer.
In this build path, we're going to rely on the power of Crits, while also getting a bit of penetration to power them up even more.
In this other build path, we'll be relying on penetration and the sheer damage Apollo can dish out with his So Beautiful, coupled with his barrage of auto attacks. Also, if you're using this build path, I recommend you get Warrior Tabi in the place of Ninja Tabi!

ABILITIES
|
AUDACITY
|
Audacity is a very straightforward passive. It increases your attack speed by 100% after hitting 10 basic attacks, for your next five shots, making it a very useful pressure/boxing tool
This ability can not be leveled, and is active at all times.
|
SO BEAUTIFUL
|
So Beautiful is a linear ability that releases musical notes, that goes through minions, dealing 80/140/200/260/320 (+80% of your physical power)
This ability should be leveled first
Use this ability for the following circumstances:
- Poke enemies. - Finish off enemies. - Clear wave. |
SERENADE
|
Serenade is apure CC ability, which forces enemies close to Apollo to be mesmerized, while granting him physical protections (10/15/20/25/30). The duration goes up by the level (1.1/1.4/1.7/2.0/2.3s).
This ability should be leveled second, after So Beautiful and before The Moves
Use this ability for the following circumstances:
- Interupting enemy momentum. - Getting the high ground while boxing. - Negate enemy ganks |
THE MOVES
|
The Moves is an important ability for Apollo and hir surviveability. This ability allows Apollo to dash towards the AoE area of the indicator, and, during his path, if he comes in contact with an enemy, he'll knock 'em away and, when arriving at the AoE, he'll buff his allies' movement speed and apply a slow to enemies in the area.
This ability should be leveled third, after Serenade and before Across The Sky.
Use this ability for the following circumstances:
-Dash away from danger. - Chase during teamfights. - Buff your own and your allies' movement speed. |
ACROSS THE SKY
|
Across The Sky certainly deserves its name. It puts Apollo in a chariot, that allows him to fly above the map, being untargetable and CC Immune. This can go on until you run out of mana. Whenever you so desire, you can select a location to land, dealing area damage up to (280/380/480/580/680 (+120% of your Physical Power)), and it knocks up enemies for a short duration.
You should put 1 point in Across The Sky at level 5. From there, it should be leveled last.
Use this ability in the following circumstances:
- Deal a considerable amount of physical damage. - Become CC immune and Untargetable. - Escape. - Become Globally present as a splitpusher. |

The other option is, go Ninja > Trans > Asi > Exe > Fail-Not > Deathbringer > Sell boots for Wind Demon.
You could try that one if you think the Fail-Not third is too early.
Edit: Compared to the first build I gave it has worse AA-DPS, but you have an advantage in lane due to the price of Rage VS Fail-Not at third item. (well... AA-dps wise).
My primary concern with your build is the Ichaival pick. Since the change to this item at the start of the season and the nerf it received afterwards, I’m not sure where to fit it in the build, because 1. Ich is expensive AF, specially for a third item and 2. almost any other option will bring more utility to the build.
IMO, Ichaival contradicts itself right now. The price suggests that it is a end game item, but its passive will be more useful during eary/mid game, where you’ll be boxing the enemy ADC frequently.
This seems to be a concern that I share with other players, because I don’t see Ich being built anywhere, whenever it’s in my games, high elo rankeds or even in SPL.
I’d like to hear your reasoning behind this item choice, if possible.
But considering price, and how people often go Trans / Tabi / Asi, it's very comparable to Devo's / Tabi / Ich.
But it's fine in the 3rd spot given the right situation, especially if you're going Devo's + Warrior and need a solid boost of AS.
Writeup is solid.
Okay in general with the build path, but will note strong preference for the crit path as it's displayed.
Your "Penetration Boy" build path is severely inefficient with regard to the AS cap. You're mostly fine as you get to Qin's Sais (2.125 AS without steroid, blowing past it when it activates...you're actually overcapping as you complete Exe). Then you opt into Asi for double-lifesteal before considering Silverbranch Bow. IMO, Silverbranch should be prioritized before Asi IF you even consider Asi, so you can at least get some function out of the overcap.
Better yet...and yes, I know mana issues...but you're better off getting Warrior Tabi, which you don't provide as an option. Warrior should ALWAYS be an option for him, and probably the preferred Boots.
I know you're emphasizing boxing, thus the Ichaival rush, and that's fine. But there are other variants that are very effective. You can rush Exe/Qin's, you can go the more standard Devo's/Warrior/PS/Exe/DB/WD/situational, etc.
And when you DO get O-Bow, make sure you have Silver in the build before you get it.
Finally, situational use, but Titan's Bane should be listed somewhere.
Thank you bran!!!! <3
As a side note, looks like the pros build Warrior more often than Ninja. It can't be a bad option.
malebooty in the gameAlso Prism, You could put some situational/other options items, like Bloodforge, odysesseus' bow...
Much agree
I personally am not a fan of Odysseus' Bow on hunters, but it could be a replacement to Silverbranch Bow in some scenarios.
I found it hard to give me enough reason to put Bloodforge in the build since I'm already using Devourer's Gauntlet. I found enough evidence to put Asi (Evidence: This item is broken because it became a T3 item lmao) as a double-lifesteal-penetration build, but Bloodforge seemed lackluster for any case unless you're quite ahead, but it could be a replacement to Asi.
Just giving some different ideas :v
But the build is for Conquest, but I could add an Arena and an Assault build if you think it's worth it!
