Hello if you are reading this I assume you would like to play Bellona that is great. Bellona was the first character I ever played and I fell in love with her. But enough about me lets get into playing Bellona.
Pros:
1. Good wave clear
2. great team fight presence
3. Good damage
4. Good at 1v1
5. can fit many play styles
cons:
1. No real hard cc besides the ultimate
2. no good escape besides ultimate
3. Her ability's and mail clearing potential can easily be cancelled by cc's
Lets start off with the items I like to build in a normal game. First the starting items I normally get the first starting option, unless I am worried of getting ganked right in the beginning or if I am playing alone, and play with that because of starting with more movement speed and the sustain with deaths toll. Second I just grab some pots and wards depending on the situation. Now lets get to the meat of this the main build. First off I like to grab the ninja tabi to get attack speed right away this can help you get a relatively early kill with ease but after I get exe I grab warrior or I grab it after I build everything else. The rest of the items I find are pretty simple breastplate of valor for mana and cooldown and obviously protections,Frostbound hammer for the slow power and health, exe for the pen and attack speed, now I grab genjis guard because genji's guard is daddy, and usually I grab shifters for the extra damage. Note if you are going up against a magical solo laner I get genji's first than breast plate later.
Now getting into the situational items as it states in the name these are if you need to counter somebody or just prefer something different that what I do. first there is Ichaival is only if you are going up against a very fast attack speed solo laner like a hunter or erlang shen and you need the extra attack speed early game bu than after I get full build i would swap it. Brawler's beat stick and pestilence are mainly for if the team has a healer like Aphrodite or Hel and pestilence is good if they have a very big magical presence. On the other hand if they have a very big physical presence I will grab nemean. Also depending on if they have a big magical or physical presence I will grab shifters for physical and runic for magical
Now I feel like this is probably the most confusing part for beginners is what to get as relics. If you are playing conquest basically every solo laner will grab teleport rune first, you do not have to but since the other laner will most likely grab it it is safe to grab it too because if they can port and come back quickly and you are low they will get free farm and that is not good for you. If I am not playing conq i will usually grab med cloak first to help the team. Now what to get second well this is a choice of who is in the game most of the time I will grab aegis if they do not have a lot of cc or I will grab purification beads if they do have a lot of cc. But now what if they have a very pesky adc or attack speed jungler these relics might not work so if they do have gods that are like that I will grab bracer to get back all my health if they shred it quickly. There is really only one time you need to grab phantom and that is if they have an Odin If you don't want to use your ult or you want to save your team from an Odin ult phantom can get you directly through it. Last but definitely not least is blink rune, this is a relic if you are messing around I almost never grab this on Bellona but if you want to be a jerk you can probably get some cheeky kills blinking through walls and using your combos to surprise the enemy
Now after you learn your items you should look into your neato skills, I am just gonna go down the list starting with the passive and just give base descriptions for each ability. Your passive is called "Master of War" and every time you hit somebody with an auto you gain 1 stack. This ability has a max of 5 stack and for each stack you gain 4 protections and 3% movement speed. Next going onto your shield bash, with your shield bash you dash forwards a little ways, do some damage and, slow your enemy, after you dash forwards you take out a sword and shield and with every 3 auto attacks you gain one stack of block completely negating any damage done to you. Your next ability is bludgeon, this is your most damaging ability. You take out a hammer swing it around in a circle then you jump into the air and slam down. this does very high damage and very good for early game quick kill. Onto your third ability this one is called scourge and it is a whip. when you use this ability if you hit somebody it will block them from using auto attacks for a short amount of time and for every 3 auto attacks you get healed for a little bit of health. Now finally onto the fourth and finally ability your ultimate. Your is called Eagle's Rally. With this ability you leap into the air with a flag stunning people who land under where you land and marking a circle on the ground and while standing in that circle you get increased protections and physical power.
There are not many combos for her but the mail ones I use are
one: bludgeon, auto attacks, scourge, shield bash, auto attacks
two: Eagle's Rally, bludgeon, auto attacks, scourge, shield bash, auto attacks
These really are the only two combos I use but they are really effective.
I hope you have enjoyed my little Bellona guide. Bellona was my first mastery 10 god and she is always my main pick for the solo lane. This build isn't as good as some of the builds I followed when I first started playing her but I think this a good guide for beginners who just want a basic build and some basic breakdown of ability's and combos.

*EDIT* one build I have tried and done pretty well as in jungle with Bellona is Ninja Tabi, Urchin, Shifter's, Discord, asi, Stone cutting sword
That's all I have to say about this guide if you have any questions just ask me.
Soul Eater isn't entirely an ADC item. It'll be good for ADC's who focus a lot on abilities such as Neith or Hou Yi should they build for ability-based. Other ADC's will still be better of with Bloodforge, Devourer's Gauntlet or Asi. Soul Eater is currently still a niche pick, but can work in the solo lane if your god is very dependent on their abilties, but even then I would still opt for Gladiator's Shield instead.
I don't understand your reasoning behind "Warriors must ABSOLUTELY get Warrior Tabi". Some warriors can absolutely benefit from Ninja Tabi, and then we're talking about warriors who rely on basic attacks to clear waves rather than abilities, someone like Osiris. They should, however, swap Ninja Tabi out for Warrior Tabi later in the game once they get other items online.
Your thoughts?
One more thing, @Artekuna, I wouldn't get Hastened Katana. Ninja Tabi and Shogun's Kusari will provide enough attack speed. Instead I would get Frostbound Hammer for some extra power and the health bonus. The passive will work better with Bellona's Shield Bash. If you really want more attack speed, swap Soul Eater for Asi.
Rangda's = great in teamfight modes, as you guys apparently agree on now. Not a good bet in Conquest in the Solo lane, though.
And if you want CDR, again, if we're talking Conquest solo, then no, Jotunn's Wrath probably isn't the better option...get the power from Warrior Tabi, and the early CDR from a nice, cheap Gladiator's Shield, which also provides some sustain. Follow that up with Genji's Guard or Shogun's Kusari for more CDR.
Still not sold on Soul Eater.
And if you get Death's Toll to start, I think Ninja Tabi can work nicely for more/quicker hits which helps the sustain from DT (which isn't reliant on damage...the healing is static). That said, when suggesting Bluestone Pendant, I would just look to clear ASAP, which means Warrior Tabi.
This current iteration of the build is not one I'd suggest. I agree wholeheartedly w/ Zero about not getting Hastened Katana. The most attack speed I would suggest would be the combo of Ninja Tabi + Shogun's Kusari.

Yup I second this. Death's Toll is absolutely amazing on her. Bran, what would be wrong with Death's Toll and Warrior Tabi together?
Also, is it bad to get double starter on her? Death's Toll and Bluestone Pendant?
So after playing a couple of games with her in conquest (sorry Bran, I am no longer an assault main), here's the conclusion I came to:
start:
This is followed by:
finish into Warrior Tabi
Gladiator's Shield (vs. physical solo laner)
Breastplate of Valor
Bulwark of Hope or Pestilence
Titan's Bane
Brawler's Beat Stick for more damage or Spirit Robe for more tankiness
If I'm against a magical solo laner, I'd get Genji's Guard as my second item.
Thoughts?
Death's Toll + Warrior Tabi isn't "wrong", but it doesn't exactly benefit eachother either. As you know, Death's Toll will only do its thing when you attack an something. By building Ninja Tabi you'll increase your attack speed so that Death's Toll will activate more often. If you go Warrior Tabi, Bluestone Pendant is a better item because that'll maximize your starting clear potential.
Death's Toll sustain combined with Bludgeon aint a joke though. Basic attacks with her Bludgeon can hit multiple minions, so that procs the passive on Death's Toll multiple times. So would you still need Ninja Tabi?
But we're also talking about a couple things. Warrior Tabi has higher power, so with scaling abilities, will deal somewhat more damage. Also, each individual basic attack will hit harder.
Ninja Tabi, on the other hand, is a bit cheaper and has a bit of mana, which is nice. But more specifically, it has lower power but 20% AS. That AS means you'll hit more often, meaning you'll get the DT passive proc more often...and getting Ninja early helps set her up for a bit more basic attack focus if she gets something else like Shogun's Kusari later. Both are okay, but I was just pointing out that with DT, it gives a bit more reason to getting Ninja as an alternative to Warrior...both are fine with DT.
Also, Bell is a hybrid Warrior, meaning she relies more equally on abilities and basic attacks to do her damage. These are all arguments for Ninja being functional for her.
That said, early game, the overall effect of Warrior in the laning stage, where minion clear is the #1 priority, is often a bit more effective. But I think either would be fine, depending (especially if her Bludgeon can be shut down by enemy abilities, making her rely more on basics).
First you say Soul Eater is bad and you should pick Asi instead. While I agree with this, especially in an AA build, after that you go ahead and back up Soul Eater by saying Bellona can hit multiple enemies and that it benefits the passive of this item. So are you for Soul Eater, or do you absolutely suggest another item? I'm confused.
Warrior Tabi only has 20 extra power over Ninja Tabi. Ninja has the attack speed to make up for it, and it is indeed good in the early game, that's exactly why you'd get it there and swap for Warrior later. I too would get Warrior Tabi in most cases, though if you're going for a complete AA build, Ninja should definitely be an option. This will work extremely well with her Scourge basic attacks, allowing for more hits and thus more healing. Something that should be considered especially if you find yourself running out of HP a little too quickly.
*EDIT* I forgot to say this but I do just prefer the chalices as a personal preference but normal pots work fine and alot of my friends like to get them
Also, have you tried Gladiator's Shield as a bridge item?
I know you detailed that this is meant for beginners, but still think these could be added (if you agree with their potential effectiveness) without making the build too convoluted.
*edit* Actually thought of one question...since you play her so much, you have intimate knowledge of how her kit feels. When Death's Toll's sustain aspect was nerfed with regard to cleave autos, how much did you feel its effect? Did it change how you had to approach clearing or aggressiveness?
Granted, it also looks like you're a very solid player with her.
Is not it better to perform a build with only defense items? (Well, except for the boots and a support item such as the Frostbound Hammer). I think this in general with all the warriors, or most, because I'm usually fighting in the middle of 4 enemies at least, and with that build I would not feel enough tank.
Greetings.
I find that solo lane has become a festival of activity, so I'd start with Chalice of Oracle. Keep in mind though, with both chalice you don't really have any slots for anything else so you'd have to rely on your support/jungle/mid to sentry.
If you find yourself involved in fights a lot, I normally grab a Hide of Urchin with Stone Cutting Sword.
Edit: Also, a suggestion if I may. The guide is aimed at beginners, so try explaining and suggesting relics.
