What do you mean, all + elo? How do you know your elo when it isn't shown?
well, I go off of smite guru and it lists green for + elo with a number usually 10-20 something and then they will be in red with a negative number for - elo. Bran showed it to me and while I know that it isn't a perfect way to gauge progress or how well you do I feel after using it for awhile to check matches that it does give a decent barometer of how I am doing. Generally when I go and look the - elo matches were more difficult than the + elo. Not all the time, but most of the time.
Myst I would be carefull with that. Kinda sounds like it could give you a ban or something.
Meh I doubt. I am playing 1 or 2 matches per week on xRatatoskrz so I'm keeping it alive. Then when I reach 150 gems I send a voice pack to xmysterionz.
If I was just sending the things, yeah, I would agree, but I'm also playing.
We've always said take SmiteGuru ratings with a grain of salt, but as I check SG match details more and more, I'm finding I'm liking their Elo+ (general rating for a specific mode) and SR ratings (for the individual god) less and less. I've always used it as a high level, single score marker to give me an idea, and then gone into match details, individual player profiles, etc., to give me a much more specific idea of a player's respective level.
Their new system since S6 started seems even less accurate than it used to be. I strongly suggest looking at how people build, and going into their specific profiles, in order to get a better idea. Don't rely on their Elo scores.
The things I do always say to look for when evaluating a specific player is to look at their KDA rating, their actual kills, deaths, and assists, the modes and the types of gods they play most, etc. For example, if they play tanky gods more than squishies, you might expect their kills to be lower than their deaths, but their assists to be high. If they can maintain a decent KDA even with lower # of kills, they may be a good support/tanky player. If they mostly play squishy gods, and you see their kills being less than their deaths, then you've probably got a case of a player who doesn't have awareness, is just lower skill in general, etc.
So I played some Conq last night with Salad on my normal account. Based on my experience, as a TL;DR, I'm going to say that using an alt in my specific case is warranted as long as I'm working on Jungle.
On my main, I have Carry and Mid currently as my role prefs. (As a reminder, comfort level, it's Carry and Support, but I still want to work on a role I'm not comfortable with) For whatever reason, my first 2 games with Salad slotted me in as Jungle. Ha. Ha ha. Joke's on me.
2 Terrible Ratatoskr Jungle Games
Rat's my most comfortable jungle pick. I don't even know who my 2nd most comfortable pick would be. So I went Rat.
First game, we won, and I went 7/6/10, but that score is 100% deceiving. I did the lowest damage on my team by far. Again, I'm okay on very early rotations, but I just have no sense of appropriate times to engage as a jungler, when to be aggressive, etc. I almost got a couple early kills (or at least almost helped secure), but my first 2 deaths (maybe more?) were straight up due to Poseidon ults.
After those deaths, I was playing very passively. I was extremely wary around Pos. As you can see, he was carrying his team. Forced me to get Ancile as my first protection item. Lucky for me, my team was fairly dominating, no thanks to me.
In the 2nd game, well...I don't know if I was better or worse. A lot of factors I'm considering here. I went 7/8/5. It was a 35% longer game. I did 60% more damage. But that's not really saying much when my damage the first game was so low...and it was still very low here.
I was already thrown off from the first game, and just amazed I got Jungle again, lol...not being in my right head, it was about 2 minutes into the match when I was like...why the hell are my rotations so bad, and why am I getting hurt so much and not healing up? At the start, my mid (Freya) said she wasn't going to be helping my buff camp clear, so it was already slower from that. But guess what? I comPLETELY forgot to pick up Assassin's Blessing. LOL.
Anyway, the Mercury was messing up any flow I might have had. The Zeus was messing up Freya. We had issues overall. You can see by Merc's score that, as far as I evaluate it, one main reason for our loss is because I let him outplay me and it really hurt my teammates. Just remember, I DIDN'T CHOOSE THIS!!!
At a certain point our Chaac asked if I had done anything the entire game. Then he spammed VGS on me..."Follow Me! You Rock! Cancel that!" Then he spammed the map ping, and then used his ult in my vicinity. Screw you, Chaac.
Anyway, rough game.
This is better (Carry and Support)
Next match. Oh look, I'm carry, and that Chaac is now on the OTHER team (along with his 2 buddies).
The early matchup had me ( Medusa) and Salad ( Athena) against an Aphro and Set duo. Holy hell I didn't know that could be so annoying. Early game had me down on KD...having 2 gods that can teleport (Set & Da Ji) made it pretty difficult when I was alone. Really, really helped when Salad was around to peel.
Went 9/9/12 (not great), had 2nd highest damage on the team (guess that's sorta okay but expected).
With everyone going pretty squish, I opted to go into Trans crit (I chose the Trans route at the start). At least I did better than my Rat games. Shows the difference in my comfort level. Also helped with Salad actually trying XD. And very happy that Chaac and his buddies lost.
Then I got Carry again, but figured I'd let Salad carry. I went Ganesha support. Don't know what our Janus and King Arthur were doing...Janus only did ~4k more damage than me, and Arthur only ~2k, and they barely participated in any fights.
This specifically shows my comfort zone. 1/3/24 (25 kill participation, next highest was Salad at 20), 32,583 taken / 60,776 mitigated. And when I'm comfortable and not having to think as much, I remember to drop wards =P
Also, ignore the Anhur's build...he was trying until basically the end when he got fed up, trolled and then sold most of his items.
Anyway...based on those jungle Rat games...again, I maintain that using my alt account isn't so bad just to continue getting more comfortable with the roles I'm awful at...but I think I just mostly need to buckle down and, even solo queue, play more Conq.
This is why once I recognize I'm going to have a major advantage, I back off that god pick / role. You choosing Rat when he's one of your mains is not a great pick for an alt account. Even though I'm more comfortable with Rat, I'm not with Jungle, and even then I did very well in those games...hence why I chose Awilix (and proceeded to do ****py).
And in your Cupid match...this is exactly the type of situation you want to be in. Learn to get better at bad matchups and teammates with issues. But don't pick Cupid. Even if he's lower tier, you're too comfortable with him. Choose a god you don't play much but want to get better with.
