Had to play a ton of games to promote out of Gold 3 and I cant really remember the first 10 ish games. But looking at Smite guru I can definitely say that I had a prette ruff time. Thankfully I managed to get out of the bad track and start playing better again.

Started with losing two support games, in both games the enemy jungler was just way better than our jungle unfortunately. Then I won two support games, this time we had the better jungler. Then lost another support game and a jungle game (I played like **** whith Hun Batz), and the support game everyone just lost super hard. Then I won a Nemesis game finally figured out that AA build was better than ability based. After that I lost another Hun Batz game, RIP my Hun Batz stats :(
Losing so many Hun Batz games got me down so I needed to play something fun. So i started with a Kali game and it went pretty good ended up with 10-3-2, and my Guan Yu did insane damage. It was an easy win.

So I'm boarding the ranked-post train with Bran and Wayne. I'm thinking I'll try and make it a weekly post, every monday or sunday. Just updating my over all progression, because I play most of my games during the weekend. And also make some post on some of the games I play during the week, played one game this week.



So my qualifier games went terrible lost my first 6 games. I can not remember every game atm but this is how it went to the best of my recollection and with the help of Smite guru:

Game 1: I played support and I trusted in my team enough to play Athena, we had a Thanatos solo "I will carry this easy" -hidden profile player pro. He lost his lane pretty hard, but the main problem was our Mercury who just got manhandled by the enemy Nemesis. I was not able to do much, every time I tried to set up something we either did not have enough damage to kill or Nemesis would just ult me. So all in all just a one man stomp game.

With all the talk of Ranked play from Wayne and Marki, I knew I had to get my *** in gear. Marki even offered to queue ranked with me earlier in the week, but I was already in a full group =(

Here's the funny thing...you'd think, since I maintain the Conquest guide, that I'd be extremely comfortable with the mode and the various roles. But nope...I generally only play Conquest when I've got some friends with me (and they are okay playing it)...when Solo queuing, I usually just do Assault / Arena / Clash.

So I teamed up with Duotem last night and got through 3 ranked games. I'll break them down from my point of view below, and maybe Duo can offer some additional feedback. Going to keep it a bit simpler than my last blog series.

So, one thing that has been prevalent are the huge general guides that this site fosters. This will include Bran's Oberarching Guides, the Site Help guides like how to BBCode, and the Become A Class series done by various Authors.
Two things about these types of things is that they are always kept up to date, or at least always relevant. That is, except for the las kind of general guide, the Become A Class ones. They are missing new gods, and I am not sure, but they are missing a Mage variant.
What does this have to do with me? I am interested in doing this Mage variant. I would just like to question whether or not there is a Mage variant, and to remind the authors of the already created ones to update theirs, as to stay relevant.

I've been lurking mostly, as Veterans tend to do. I had planned on participating in the contest this year, but the contest always brings around so many new people, and I haven't played Smite in so long, that actually doing or saying much of anything has seemed kind of daunting lately. but I've also been working with a group of a few others (including Bernardozomer) on a mod for Terraria, though there isn't really enough content to warrant a release yet (which I blame on my time browsing YouTube and Reddit instead of spriting like I should be). So its almost been 2 years since my last post on this site, and most likely over 2 years since I last played Smite.

For those of you who don't know, I used to be pretty active in this community; Whether it was making god ideas, crafting some weird guide, or making some witty or sarcastic comment, you could find me in quite a lot of places here.

There are two main reasons why I quit the game:

1) I didn't like the direction that Hi-Rez was going. I definitely noticed that the game had started becoming more about money rather than good gameplay. It seemed like every new god was just as or more overpowered than the last.

2) The toxicity of the community. I had loved the game in beta and the first year or so after it came out officially, but the community had quickly become horrible toxic. I even watched one of my friends go from being very nice to being a horrible teammate who flamed just about everyone.
