Bran's S5 Ranked Conquest Qualifier Adventures (Games 1-3,...

Yes, I'm actually back at it after the 5.7 ranked soft reset. Logged on last night, wife was super tired from restless sleep the night before so I knew I had a good chunk of game time XD

Warmed up with a couple of casual matches. Went 9/2/15 w/ in an Assault game, where I accidentally auto-ran off the platform as we got into game, so started with 0 items...and got 4 kills before I died and was able to load up. Then went 7/2/19 w/ in an Arena match that came down to the wire (3 tickets to 0). Was feeling pretty good after those matches.

Then DV-8 had finished up a ranked game, and so we partnered up for 3 ranked games.

Game 1 (Ganesha Support, Loss)

This game, DV-8 decided to troll with a spicy mid pick. It actually worked pretty well for him (6/4/2, the only positive K/D on our team), and he would have done better with better teammates =(

First Ranked Qualifier and Testing the MarkiBranAura™ Build

Just Did My First Ranked Qualifier

So, my first ranked qualifier for Summer(?) went pretty well; you can view the stats and other nice stuff here. It was mostly testing out the MarkiBranAura build in a ranked environment.

The game started off badly. Why? Here's a hint, a lovely quote from Bran that predicted the opposite future:

They were winning initially and our mid kept trying to surrender. Throughout the WHOLE game even when we were flipping winning. Like what the ****. He also never placed a single ward.

Troll the game and still in your role (that you asked first) and whatever.
Be forced to play in other role against your wish because someone is an a**hole.

What would you do?

If I'm in a good mood (the most times I am), I just ignore and put other role (but, In fact I want be toxic and troll, 'cause, at least for me, instalock in conquest is trolling, we are high levels, we know (at least should know) play this game)

People please, if someone got "your" role, change it, don't do it or other trollings, we can't get what we want every time :v

Have you guys ever lost a f***ing arena because your team rushed kills and let all the minions enter in the portal? 'Cause I faced it this weekend.

(I'm a Brazilian, so my game is not in English, is in Portuguese :v )

As you all can see, I'm the highest minion damage ("Dano Lacaio" in Portuguese), and even with my team have twice kills than the other we lost. This Weekend smite were a sh** to play I got only 1 enigma chest even playing at least 8 matches everyday.

So...

I probably should have at least finished up my ranked qualifiers in S4...at 3 wins and 2 losses, it was automatically better than the showing I had this season...

Final qualifier score: 2-8. And the grand prize ranking?

BRONZE V

Yup, yours truly was placed in the absolute lowest rank. And I even brought DV-8 out of Gold while doing so.

Now, I can't say I'm a good player...but damn if most of the games felt really lopsided, and not necessarily because of me.

In this one, I warned them about me playing jungle, but I ended up being Jungle anyway! LOL...I do have to say, is tons of fun. In any case, our ragequit very early in the game after he died twice...left us all obviously at a disadvantage, so we were just holding for a short while and trying to stalemate...didn't come back, died some, and we ended up forfeiting because it was an obvious lost cause.

God 95, Chernobog

Yep, you're looking at it right, Chernabog is going to be the next god. After it was announced during the second day of the SWC 2017, HR was set to release two new pantheons one being the Slavic and the other was Voodoo. After a couple of teasers about a Slavic god being the first to show up, nobody knew who it was going to be but all speculated it was going to be Chernabog. From what the post says, it looks like he's going to be a Hunter with great mobility and a powerful ultimate that requires the rest of his kit for the best effect.

While it seems weird they are taking this long to release one god, I have a sneaking suspition that HR is going to release another god this patch from the other Pantheon. With that other god is being Baron Samedi, God of Death and Resurrection, since they both have this evil deathly theme to them and that they both are going to be the first of their pantheon…

I'm beginning a new passion project for when I'm finished with my semester of school, for this I will be making Smite comics where the gods and goddesses get into all kinds of situations and other mishaps. The comic I released will be what I intend on how the format of the comics will go but will evolve over time as I make more.

Weekend Routines

Having a family and whatnot, there are always things to do on the weekends besides getting roasted XD

Today involves getting prepared for a 4-day trip to Arizona for a friend's wedding (where my wife will oversee as Minister...this will be her 5th or 6th time marrying friends). Brought down some suitcases, been cleaning the garage, and doing some much needed maintenance...

My planted freshwater aquarium hadn't been touched in MONTHS. The canister filter was absolutely disgusting, and there was plenty of algae buildup on the inside walls. This took about 2 hours to finish cleaning and changing/adding new water.

Now I'm drinking an IPA and planning for more work.

What do you all do on the weekends?
