No. No point waiting that long for Hastened Katana.

Go: Golden Blade, Stone Cutting, Hastened, Void Shield (or executioner), Qins, magi's cloak. Sell Golden Blade lategame for Atalanta's.

Or: Warrior, Crusher, Hastened, executioner, magi's cloak, qins, sell crusher lategame for titan's bane.

Alternatively: (probably not that good): Talaria (or warrior, or sell warrior for lategame), Crusher, Jotunns, Hydra's, magi's cloak (or mantle), bloodforge (or Titans).

Im sure we can get the Nemesis expert to pop in some time and offer their say.

Yup, as I'd said in my comment below on Hastened Katana:

"That said, I can see a bit more use for Hastened Katana if you really wanted to go that route, or at least, that's probably what my preference would be for her over Frost. But I wouldn't build it early, I'd probably build it late...unless as another alternative, you build it instead of your Tabi, immediately after Stone Cutting Sword. But yeah...mostly build it late after other items."

Point there was making sure you had some decent pen first, which SCS provides. I can agree with Kriega that you can get it even with Tabi and SCS, and his build suggestions are fine, of course. But I disagree that you can't also just consider late. Keep in mind, her base still stands...a slow and a double dash, so a lot of people DON'T get Katana at all, and still do fine. So Katana late can work, if the majority of your early build is focused less on basic attack damage and more of being a bruiser with decent pen and whatnot.

Thing with your build idea, I don't think it has enough AS for my preference in going into Qin's like that. Either build more AS early to make Qin's more functional, or skip Qin's and get more pen / CDR / prots.

Hi Jaguar,

Some comments on the build. Note that I checked out the youtube link ("****...didn't mean to get that!" LOL), so now I know that at least in this one instance, you were playing in Arena rather than other modes like Conquest.

That's fine, by the way, but that also will tailor my responses to the builds. Assume everything but the bottom build is for Conquest in particular.
  • For the build at the top, for the individual items, you might want to title them as their function, rather than the name, because the name is also displayed below the icon. So, where it says Assasins Blessing, you might want to say "Starter Item."

  • Transcendence is a fun item for her. She's sort of a hybrid basic attacker/ability user, so this can work. That said, it's the CDR and mana that will help with ability use, while the high power isn't all that great for ability use, because her scaling is not that good. Instead, the power will help her basic attack damage more than anything...what I'm trying to say here is that, well, it's an okay item for her, but not all that suggested (and honestly isn't picked up there much).

The biggest reason is the cost, combined with the need to stack. For a Jungler, most are going to want to increase their rotation speed, which means MS items. Stone Cutting Sword would be a common first item in many cases (at least when facing 3 phys/2 mag and the jungler is phys) specifically because it has good base power, and more importantly provides some early MS. Another option for early aggression would be something like The Crusher...but not Trans.

  • Warrior Tabi is typically the preferred boots for Nem. That said, I'm personally fine with Ninja, especially if you plan to do a lot of basic attack boxing with the rest of your item choices.

  • You're proposing Frostalis (combining Frostbound Hammer and Hastened Katana). In most cases, this is not optimal. Sure, it can lock an enemy down and keep you close, but...Nem has a slow in her Slice and Dice which can temporarily cover Frostbound function. She also has a double-dash which can additionally help her stay with enemies. Common builds typically see NEITHER of these items built.

That said, I can see a bit more use for Hastened Katana if you really wanted to go that route, or at least, that's probably what my preference would be for her over Frost. But I wouldn't build it early, I'd probably build it late...unless as another alternative, you build it instead of your Tabi, immediately after Stone Cutting Sword. But yeah...mostly build it late after other items.

  • Hydra's Lament can see some synergy with Trans, but again, Trans isn't usually suggested. If you do go Trans, Hydra's can work as long as you're maximizing your attack canceling.

  • You're greatly lacking in pen. As mentioned earlier, SCS is functional. The Executioner is popular for later portions of a build in a basic attack setting, but probably not with Hydra's. No real synergy there. The Crusher is an option. So is Brawler's Beat Stick. Situationally, so is Titan's Bane. This is a big oversight in a build mostly aiming for damage.

  • In most cases, Toxic Blade is a terrible item. It should NEVER be a core item, as it's directly meant to counter enemy healing. That said, the item isn't even that good overall. Your better bet would be Brawler's Beat Stick as previously mentioned, if you need / want anti-heal.

  • Some form of protection can also be nice. Nem can be a bruiser, and so you can consider some items with some protections and/or health. Sure, Frost has health, and maybe it can have some use in Arena, but typically not suggested. Magi's Cloak sees some popular use. You could also consider Void Shield and maybe Ancile, or Hide of the Urchin for a single protection item.

  • Arena build also needs fixing, mostly due to the same itemization choices I discussed above.
I would expect you would see better results if you built with a more specific focus in mind. In Conquest, Assassin's Blessing, Stone Cutting Sword (or The Crusher), Warrior Tabi (Ninja is okay I guess if you plan to get Qin's Sais later), SCS or Crusher (whichever you didn't get earlier), The Executioner, Qin's Sais, with one protection item of your choice thrown in whenever you need it.

In Arena, I might consider more of an ability focus, as you may not want to stick around to basic attack as long as you might in a Conquest 1 v 1 or gank attempt. I'd consider Hydra's, but I wouldn't get it first. I'd get it sometime after Tabi. Maybe something like Warrior Tabi, The Crusher, Void Shield, Ancile or Bulwark of Hope, Hydra's Lament, Brawler's Beat Stick or other situational item.

Further thoughts about that gameplay vid

Hey thanks for checking my youtube lol. I see where you're coming from I've just started playing Nemesis again after 2 years of not playing her so with the newish items I'm still figuring out what would be the best on her as I don't see many people play her now.
With my Gameplay vid... Let's just say I rage a lot on Smite xD especially when I'm getting frustrated. I should upload one of me playing Smite on the nintendo switch everyone on there is such a noob I rage even more!

" If you do go Trans, Hydra's can work as long as you're maximizing your attack canceling" - and why wouldn't you do that? Seems pretty obvious.

Also Hastened is good on Nemesis but I wouldn't get frostbound.

Ahhh hahaha I have a dirty little secret. I bought it on Switch also. I built up to level 5 so I could play Conquest (which I don't play nearly as much on normal PC), and it was a bit lopsided. I played Medusa ADC, my Support stayed in Solo with the Soloer, so I was facing 2. I outfarmed them hard due to not having to share and killed the Duo at level 5. My jungler was also a solid player (Fenrir) and we just sort of steamrolled the enemy, even though our other teammates weren't really doing much.

I expect karma to come back and bite me hard in the near future for that one.

Hastened is actually good on Nemesis jungle. In Arena I could definitely see it being built.

Darn it Bran! I wanted to say something but you pretty much covered what I would say. Only minor thing I could add is that Nem does get increased MS from Divine Judgement which also helps with chasing a target.

Bran should live more in this site than real life :v . Every time you are going to say something he already did with a enormous quantity of details. I beat him only once. XD
