Da Ji heats up her claws, causing her next successfully hit Basic Attack to burn the target, dealing instant bonus damage, additional damage every 1s for 3s and Slowing them for 3s. Da Ji gains Haste when this ability activates, which lasts until she hits a target.

Da Ji lashes out with her claws at nearby enemies, executing 4 strikes that damage all enemies in range and apply the Bleed from Torture Blades.

While this ability is channeling Da Ji moves freely in all directions, gains 40% Movement Speed, immunity to Slows and Knockups, and her tails mitigate Damage dealt to her by Enemy Gods who are behind her.

Da Ji summons her signature torture device, the Paolao. As she hovers above the device she may fire up to 3 shots. Enemy gods hit take damage and become Chained and Slowed. At the end of her ability chained enemies are pulled to the Paolao becoming Stunned and then taking damage 3 times over 2s. If a god hit by this ability becomes Crowd Control Immune at any time, they break the Chain on them and cannot be Chained again until this ability ends.

Introduction

Welcome to my first ever guide
This is my first time doing a guide for smite, Da ji is a great assassin with her kit, well balanced and lots of fun especially the bleeds. Guess no one will be running with 1HP anymore :(

Pros & Cons

Pros

Items

I focus on high damage items and physical penetration to burst enemies down as much as possible.

Great source of physical power, even though Da Ji doesn't use that much of her mana but the passive of Transcendence is great for physical power.

I choose Ninja Tabi because it gives attack speed and mana which is great combination with Transcendence passive.

Jotuns Wrath is a must for Da Ji, It's cooldown reduction and physical penetration is great for her kit and let's not forget about the 150 mana Jotunns give ;)

More physical penetration because come on why not :P

Wind Demon gives a nice passive to chase down enemies and not allow them to run away like 20% movement speed is a lot, also a nice 10% to attack speed, MORE BLEEDSSSSS MUHAHAHAAH

I know some people might say i'm crazy for choosing Odysseus' Bow for Da Ji but let me explain !, combining the passive of Odysseus' Bow with Da Ji's bleeds is just amazing addition to DoT which is 50% of Da Ji's basic attack power plus the 40% attack speed.

Replacement

ReplaceWithFor more physical power.

ReplaceWithFor additional cooldown reduction and For 8s after using an ability, your next basic attack will deal an additional 30% damage.

For additional 4% pysical damage of the target's maximum Health

For the great passive that gives 100% of your physical power to you next first hit on enemies.

Play Style

Da Ji is very sneaky, She can go in land all her hits then vanishes.
Start the fight with activating yourthen focus on one target and jump on it with yourand land a few basic attack to burn the target for instant bonus damage and additional damage every 1s for 3s then finish them off withif they survived and try to run away chase them down with youror just use your ultimate to pull them back

Conclusion

Remember even tho Da Ji is sneaky, she can also mess up and die, try to play safe and be careful on whom you are going to target, Gods like Poseidon might burst you down in a blink of an eye so better safe than sorry. At the end Da Ji is victorious with her gigantic boobs, sharp pointed nails and fluffy nine tails.

Hey Corvus,

Welcome to the site. I'm not the guide creator, but thought I'd respond, since it may be unlikely for you to get a response from the creator...guide was created in June, and they haven't logged on since September.

To answer your question, I honestly don't feel that crit items should be built on at all. I also don't like the build's listing of . She is mostly a pure ability user, despite what her passive would make you think. I think she's been shown to have much better effect when concentrating on ability use, which mainly means power, penetration, and CDR. Standard items would include , , , and , with 2 slots for situational/utility, such as , , or protection items.

That said, could a basic attack build work? Sure, probably not in ranked, but in a casual game, it's a possibility. You could try to build her as a really annoying single-target destroyer. You would center the build / gameplay idea around her ability to keep enemies close, but you'd probably have to be very discretionary about which target you choose, and when.

In a basic attack case, one question would be, do I need to keep enemies close? My answer to that is, probably not. applies a 3 second slow, which is a substantial amount of time. gives her immunity to slows (and knockups), increases her speed by 40%, and she can move freely while it channels. will teleport her (without error, since it won't activate unless you have a target selected) directly back to the enemy. And if all else fails, gives her an opportunity to bring fleeing enemies right back in front of you. Is it 100% awful to get? No, but it's a very luxury item that you'd probably only get if you're already steamrolling the enemy.

What other items would you choose for a basic attack focus? Again, probably not crit. It's not bad, but it's not optimal. Even if you focus on the effectiveness of basics, she'll still deal a substantial amount of her total damage via abilities, and taking up 2 slots for crit items (because 2 slots really are needed to make a crit build effective) means she'll have less flexibility in the rest of her kit to focus on total damage effectiveness. Also, she has nothing in her kit to boost the effectiveness of crits (e.g. attack speed steroid or actual crit boost in her kit).

So, key items in a basic attack build? I'd center it around and the pen item of your choice (either for enhanced basic DPS, or for universal pen function). I'd also likely choose , at least as a late replacement for if not just getting it outright as your movespeed item. In this case, is a very nice hybrid item, as the passive is helpful for abilities (more abilities means more ways to keep enemies close) and any attack speed is great in combination with Qin's. Round out the build with situational items of your choice...even in a basic attack build, I might still consider (or other CDR options such as or ).

If I might give a build example or two, see below...

For ability use: (optional starter), , (optional for Conquest rotations), , , , situational item(s).

For basic attacks: , , , , or other protection, or . This is just something I made up right now, so don't take too much stock in it.

Very fun build, especially now that her basic attacks etc. has been tweaked. Most players will not expect a high attackspeed Da Ji to be in their face continually bleeding them to death ( which goes faster than you think ). Most people Expect da ji to : Go in, Do damage go out/ ult. Only flaw in this build is the lack of lifesteal.

About your cons, has a pull and a stun, so there's that.

What I meant is her basic kit excluded her ultimate.
