Jungle Bastet Conquest
Jungle Bastet Conquest Solo Lane Mid Lane Carry (wip) Support (wip) Arena

Purchase Order

Starter Notes Start with Morningstar in order to build your Transcendence stacks faster

The best start for Bastet is
[*] Kill Speed Camp with the jungler
[*] Kill the Blue buff with the solo laner without using an ability (unless they need it)
[*] Go to harpies next to gold pots and use Hand of the Gods and basic attack the bigger harpy to death
[*] Go to mid harpies and you should be there before the other jungler with all your mana up and your Pounce and Razor Whip up and 2 health pots to survive longer

Build Item Assassin's Blessing Assassin's Blessing
Build Item Morningstar Morningstar
Build Item Healing Potion Healing Potion
Build Item Healing Potion Healing Potion
Build Item Hand of the Gods Hand of the Gods

Starter w/ Baron Samedi (WIP) Notes WIP due to the hand of the god start in #Starter

Build Item Assassin's Blessing Assassin's Blessing
Build Item Morningstar Morningstar
Build Item Multi Potion Multi Potion
Build Item Baron's Brew Baron's Brew

Core (Needed in most builds) Notes Chalice of the Oracle For Warding Beginners If you are playing jungler and not the best at warding and forget. if you do remember to buy wards alot then instead buy normal wards (buy after transcendence)
Warrior Tabi Adds extra power for your abilities
The Crusher This is an amazing item to boost bastets damage even further, but should not be prioritized sooner like some other assassins because getting your cooldown to 30% is more important because then you are able to use your abilities Twice in ulitmate

Build Item Warrior Tabi Warrior Tabi
Build Item Transcendence Transcendence
Build Item Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath
Build Item Chalice of the Oracle Chalice of the Oracle
Build Item The Crusher The Crusher

Offensive Item Options Notes Heartseeker is amazing to make the ability based god on another level for the damage capable with abilities
Titan's Bane If the enemy has a tanky team then this is recommended
Brawler's Beat Stick If the enemy has a very affective healer or multiple then this is recommended, Ex: Aphrodite
Hyrda's lament This is a more of an end game offensive item option to get the 10% needed cooldown reduction for 40%

Build Item Heartseeker Heartseeker
Build Item Titan's Bane Titan's Bane
Build Item Brawler's Beat Stick Brawler's Beat Stick
Build Item Hydra's Lament Hydra's Lament
Build Item Soul Eater Soul Eater

Defensive Item Options Notes if you are being heavily countered and the following build is not working then defensive options could help
Spirit Robe Recommended for if assassin crowd control is the main problem with fast escape
Magi's Cloak This is Recommended and useful for unexpected crowd control from tanks because of the hard crowd control of not being affected, Ex: Cerberus Ultimate
Mantle of Discord For if you're are taking too much damage
Winged Blade Use when there are many slows in the game
Shifter's Shield For overall more protection to play safe late and mid game for more damage above 50%HP and more protections below 50%HP
Breastplate of Valor This item is really good for defense against phsyicals and it provides the rest of the cooldown reduction in your build. I will get this if there are 3 physicals
Pridwen This is a good option for the rest of the cooldown and defense along side with the shield passive which could really help in a lot of situations but if you want more defense go for Mantle of Discord or Spirit Robe. I get this sometimes when there is 3 magicals
Ancile Although im still testing this item out more, it is a good and viable cheap defensive item.

Build Item Spirit Robe Spirit Robe
Build Item Magi's Cloak Magi's Cloak
Build Item Mantle of Discord Mantle of Discord
Build Item Winged Blade Winged Blade
Build Item Shifter's Shield Shifter's Shield
Build Item Breastplate of Valor Breastplate of Valor
Build Item Pridwen Pridwen
Build Item Ancile Ancile

Relics & Endgame Consumables Notes Teleport Glyph A good relic for bastet to backstop towers and phoenixes, it is risky the more your into higher levels of play but if you are in an disadvantage late game this can really help if you take a phoenix, but dont disband the teamfight!, coordinate with your teammates that you will be taking a tower/pheonix cause you dont want to randomly leave your team behind so say split push, and better to do it if your team is alive and the enemy has 4 people alive
Purification Beads, Blink Rune, and Aegis Amulet are the relics you will mostly always use or always at least one, the other ones are optional and situational
Purification Beads ex: To escape Cerberus and Baron Samedi Ultimate
Aegis Amulet ex: to block incoming damage such as Posideon Ultimate
Blink Rune ex: to engage on a gank from the jungle or to escape if not hit yet

Build Item Purification Beads Purification Beads
Build Item Aegis Amulet Aegis Amulet
Build Item Blink Rune Blink Rune
Build Item Teleport Glyph Teleport Glyph
Build Item Elixir of Power Elixir of Power
Build Item Potion of Power Potion of Power

My Normal Build (When no optional items are needed) Notes Titan's Bane for late game when i sell boots for speed potion

Heartseeker for late game when i sell boots for speed potion

Mantle of Discord for late game when i sell boots for speed potion

I usually change around items 3-5 around in order depending on what i want first in the match

If Your in a hurry Use the first 6 items in order and trade out boots and trade out boots in the end game for Heartseeker, NOW GET TO THAT GAME BOY AND WIN >:3

Build Item Transcendence Transcendence
Build Item Warrior Tabi Warrior Tabi
Build Item Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath
Build Item Soul Eater Soul Eater
Build Item Shifter's Shield Shifter's Shield
Build Item The Crusher The Crusher
Build Item Heartseeker Heartseeker
Build Item Mantle of Discord Mantle of Discord
Build Item Titan's Bane Titan's Bane

Example Build Notes Jotuun's Wrath before heartseeker if you want more cooldown sooner into the game but if not then go for Heartseeker for extra ability damage
Shifter's Shield before the crusher if you want more damage sooner for abilitys but mostly only if your not dieing and doing good

Build Item Transcendence Transcendence
Build Item Warrior Tabi Warrior Tabi
Build Item Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath
Build Item Shifter's Shield Shifter's Shield
Build Item Mantle of Discord Mantle of Discord
Build Item The Crusher The Crusher
Build Item Heartseeker Heartseeker

Build w/ more Defense

Build Item Transcendence Transcendence
Build Item Warrior Tabi Warrior Tabi
Build Item Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath
Build Item Shifter's Shield Shifter's Shield
Build Item The Crusher The Crusher
Build Item Mantle of Discord Mantle of Discord
Build Item Void Shield Void Shield

Item To Replace Blessing Notes This is at the end of the game when you replace your blessing, for your last item mostly every game should be heartseeker unless something happens where you have to change up stuff

Titan's Bane for end game to increase your damage against a very tanky team and if you need more damage along with heartseeker, it would be good to get this unless you already got titan's bane

Magi's Cloak Good if you already don't have this because of often hard croud control late game and the health and protections it gives you

Hydra's Lament Only should be gotten if you really need more damage along with heartseeker and the cooldown but defense will help survival, if you want more damage in a scenario where you have to do the most damage than yes.

Brawler's Beat Stick this is a good item but its not here because if they have healers than you should've gotten this item earlier

Build Item Titan's Bane Titan's Bane
Build Item Magi's Cloak Magi's Cloak
Build Item Mantle of Discord Mantle of Discord
Build Item Breastplate of Valor Breastplate of Valor
Build Item Hydra's Lament Hydra's Lament
Build Item Spirit Robe Spirit Robe
Build Item Heartseeker Heartseeker

Core Defense Items Notes Shifter's Shield, if you want defense then this is a core defense item. This item still gives you a good amount of attack above 75% which is +70 physical power and +15 physcial protection, and under 755 you get more defense instead of power so +35 physical power and +50 physical protection and +35 Magical Protection. This is amazing for bastet cause bastet plays with going in, unloading you abilitys, and jumping back out alot and with this you get that attack boost to go in and release your abilitys and once under 75% health you get defense. This makes this a really good defense item or just an item for bastet

Build Item Shifter's Shield Shifter's Shield

Situational Notes If your going against healers get Brawler's Beat Stick sooner (still getting other items other than your item after boots late game unless you want something else}
Or if your going against alot of tanky people build Titan's Bane sooner (for this your getting titans bane sooner instead of a late game boots sell item)

to see look at next 2 builds

Build Item Brawler's Beat Stick Brawler's Beat Stick
Build Item Titan's Bane Titan's Bane

Items to Replace Boots Notes Heartseeker is the best item to get last which is selling boots so the most recommended last item, is this for a big power spike and should be gotten.

Build Item Heartseeker Heartseeker

Bastet's Skill Order Notes Honestly i feel like upgrading Pounce instead of Ensnaring Claw is a better option for more DPS output, because the max amount of damage the cats can do is really close to the pounce damage but they normally die before then and for lvl 1 Ensnaring Claw you already get everything and the upgrades is only for damage. Even when in Ultimate, hitting the sweet spot with Pounce will do more damage.
This is up to you whether you want to upgrade second, Pounce or Ensnaring Claw depending on your play style.

Abilitys

Combos

Bastet is a combo character and you want combo all of your abilities together because that's when she is most effective and there a lot of combos possible along with the passive for many different situations

These are only examples and the more you play as bastet you will know what combos to use in different scenarios

Pounce

Bastets pounce is the ability that does really good burst damage and an amazing enter, and escape, and a good start up for a combo or anytime in a combo

  • Example: Jump in with Pounce and combo up with your other abilitys
  • Example: If jumped in with Pounce you can escape quickly by jumping back again, and once in you can throw all your abilitys out and jump back
  • Example: (In a battle and low) use Pounce to get out and even better when jumping threw a wall or once threw the wall use Blink Rune
  • Example: Juking people with Pounce by pouncing somewhere and leading them there and jumping back near the end of the jump
  • Example: Suprise attacking enemys with Pounce threw the wall (simple enough)
  • Example: Note, if you see that your enemies take note of where you pounced from, pay attention and adapt an escape

These are only some of the examples of what to do with pounce

Razor Whip

Bastets Razor Whip is the main ability of damage for bastet and should be in almost every combo

  • Example: For good bastet poke damage you want to jump in with Pounce (or use Ensnaring Claw before then pounce) and then use Razor Whip and jump back
  • Example: For minion waves because the cone shape of Razor Whip you can hit the god and the minions
  • Example: Razor whip is the easiest ability to hit enemy's with all 3 attacks with Guardian's of Bass and also does the most damage
  • Example: Razor Whip can finish off low enemys from the bleed cause its the best basic damage ability for bastet

These are only some of the example for what to do with Razor Whip

Ensnaring Claw

Bastets Ensnaring Claw is bastets new ability and its a better version of declaw. This does Root for 0.5s, 25% Slow for 2s, Root Damage, Uses a cat instead and summons that cat stays for 4 attacks (1 hit per second for 4 hits). The utility of this outside her ult is more for the effects and root damage, but with the ult it summons 3 cats making it even stronger. Although outside of ultimate, this should be used as a better declaw.

  • Example: if you trying to run, quickly turn around and use Ensnaring Claw for the root and pounce/blink away
  • Example: hit a running enemy with Ensnaring Claw to root them and slow them to follow up
  • Example: Ensnaring Claw becomes similar to Cat Call (bastets last ultimate) when using Guardians of Bast
  • Example: to be safe from stuns and aggressive pokes use Ensnaring Claw to poke from a distance to show them not to mess with you and follow up with your other abilities also
  • Example: If in lane, Ensnaring Claw is a really good initiative to a combo

These are only some example to what to do with Ensnaring Claw

Ability Damage Stats

Tips

  • Trailing Scent(Passive) When Bastet hits an enemy she marks the target for a brief time. Marked targets leave behind a scent trail Bastet can follow, gaining Movement Speed while in the scent trail. (lasts 3s) (20% Speed)
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Combo your abilities
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Abuse damage and easy escape with using Pounce behind a wall for ganking from the jungle or somewhere on the enemy's and then follow up with abilities and fast hitting basic attacks
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Abuse Heart Seeker late game, it will really help with increasing DPS and gives you an insane power spike
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Ensnaring Claw slows and roots, so use that to your advantage
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Chasing down someone is a specialty due to her passive, Tracking Scent
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Guardians of Bast's extra cats it gives you for Ensnaring Claw are effective against slow basic hitting gods, but for hunters or fast basic attackers they can defeat the cats more easily
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Be careful very early game for mana and health can sometimes be a problem
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • If you are using Teleport Glyph and the opportunity is open and coordinated with your team you can backdoor a tower or phoenix with teleporting to a strategically placed ward and take it down, this can be clutch sometimes and very change the outcome of the game (it could lead to a death but most health or all of the health from that structure will be gone and it would be a fair trade) (if you are send in your cats which they are on one the only spawnable things that attack towers and tank the damage for your along side with your strong and fast basic attacks and do not use other abilities they will not work
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • The Cats will now prioritize any gods nearby and pursuit them (or the god it hits) even if comes into contact with minions
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Strategys (will be adding more to this)

  • Number 1

, if your in lategame and your enemy is ahead of you in towers than Split Push is a good strategy. What split push is well, pushing in multiple lanes. Bastet is easily one of the best gods to split push a tower with Cat Call this is an example

EX1: (Scenario) enemy has 3 phoenix up and we have a half health titan with 2 phoenixes, what you should do it tell your team to defend and if you have a teleport ward which would be better or if not go there as fast as you can and take a phoenix because your cats will hurt the phoenix and the Phoenix will attack the cats not you along with your damage. This is just 1 example of what to do with taking down towers with bastet. and heres a tip if your going to take a tower, (wait for the minions to go by, this is REQUIRED because what will happen is, is that the cats will go after the minions instead because the cats go for enemys first and lastly towers and then stand there at where they killed the minions or not do damage to the tower, and do not kill the minions cause then that reveals you on the map and then you will be hunted down.

Bastet Gameplay Conquest

This is on how to play against enemies in different roles

  • First you want to get in and then get out with bastet and once in load out all of your abilites and jump back
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Playing from jungle you want to jump on to the enemy from the jungle unexpectedly or go from behind and use Guardian's of Bass and Pounce to initiate
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • If you are playing mid then you want to go for Mage's Blessing because this helps with extra ability damage and on mana which will really help early game in mid
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • how to play in mid is to poke with Ensnaring Claw and jump in with your Pounce and then use your Razor Whip and this will do really good damage on a mage and jump back if they use a high damaging ability
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • The more you play with bastet the more you get skill at her on attacking, positioning, ect, so keep practicing and you will see her true potential
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • If it is late game and the enemys are grouped up, do not jump in alone because your cats will get killed and you will get stunned and killed, if you want to poke use Ensnaring Claw but otherwise go in with your team and you and your ultimate in a team fight will apply alot of pressure on the enemies, allowing allies to follow up.
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Make sure to gank and tell your allies before so they can back up near there tower or where ever they are and then you suprise them with Guardians of Bast and use other abilities once jumped in with Pounce

Ward

WARD!!!!!!

  • If you play jungle then always ward for bastet it may be difficult at start game because of low mana and needed money for first wards but first recall (or if really needed)
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • After you finish boots get Chalice of the Oracle this is needed most times because warding is very important and because money could sometimes be a struggle, but having that everytime you recall you regain 2 wards is very useful for constant warding especially for beginners
    +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • If you do not know where to ward then you can search it up and there is some really good guides, i normally always put one near the enemies attack camp or a little below it, because it really helps with spotting out the enemy mid laner once they come in from getting there camp, another good spot is to the left of the mid lane or near there speed camp and this normally gives the position of the enemy jungler, but still search up good ward spots

Also Screammmmmmm played Bastet Jungle in SPL recently if you're interested (last week I think): https://youtu.be/Y4jk3F0KPPk?t=2962

He went: Talaria > Jotunns > Beatstick > Heartseeker > Void Shield > Titan's.

Please dont get Pridwen in a build with Jotunns in, and not especially in a build with Jotunns and Mantle. Tbh I dont think Pridwen is worth on her anyway. Also add Bloodforge and Void Shield as alternative items.

Thank you for catching that, i didnt realize for the build example with more defense had pridwen on it and yes after looking over pridwen and how it would fit builds i see what your saying so im going to play some games with it and see how it would work with bastet now and decide whether i should remove it from the build/items for bastet to build. And thinking about it, bloodforge would be a good addition as an alternate item so ill test some games with that as well. And for void shield, idk unless building Void Shield and Shifter's Shield would be good together (which it prob wouldnt), cause my point is that Shifter's Shield should be bought over Void Shield unless you really need that physical protection reduction, but ill try some games with that as well.

(also that whole backdooring/split push thing, idk yet if bastet can still do that efficiently with the rework but ill definitely try and see)

Question to anyone reading this, the info i got and stuff is good an all but the way i present it does it look kinda sloppy? what i mean is to me sometimes it looks like notes with info all over the place and my notes on my build item explanations are kinda long, i can change it up with the same info but make it look nicer like probably next weekend but id like to know if anyone thinks i should do this from a readers perspective.

I'll say what I say to everyone...I personally like seeing only perhaps 2-3 example builds, along with identifying core items essential to all builds (if any), and a listing of optional items. It prevents the list of items from being more of a scrolling function (at which point I mostly ignore all the slight build variances).

How does Pridwen work on Bastet? Does it proc when the cats spawn, when the 10 seconds are over and/or if the cats die early?

You get the Pridwen passive as soon as you activate cat call :3

Hi!
Your guide and builds are good, but they need some little work:

- You list in core items Heartseeker. That's not the main problem, though. I played bastet a long time and that item was OK altough i picked it not so often. But then, you placed Heartseeker in "Offensive item options" too. So you should take it out of core i think.

Then, at the very end of your guide, you listed that "declaw hits 1 enemy in a straight line." not really. Declaw can hit a bunch of enemies but not in all situations.

That's all! good day :)

Whats up!
I've made a update and some changes from what you've said
Heartseeker is not a needed needed item for bastet but most of the times the best offensive item choice after core but not needed in like every build.
I've changed the mistake on declaw and thanks for pointing that out :3

Thank your for the knowing of the particles in my brain >:3

Hi Epic,

I hadn't commented up to this point other than a stupid "lol" to Myst's comment, but want to say this looks pretty solid overall. Builds look good. Would prefer to see a more dedicated section to ability discussion rather than just lump them all into the tips chapter.

Couple other points.
  • One tip you might consider is when using Pounce, you might gain a bit of an advantage if you actually aim BEHIND them (when they're facing you). You might also aim near the edge of its AOE, especially if they mostly have melee-based abilities. Either way, landing behind them forces them to turn to target you. Yes, it also forces YOU to turn to target them, but you have the advantage of having planned for this, and can get a bit of a jump on them.

  • You talk about getting Chalice of the Oracle after finishing boots. I might tone that down just a bit, to say more along the lines of just "get Chalice when you have the opportunity." Specifically, it just reads as "after Boots, Chalice is the priority." But you also don't want to slow down your normal build progress...so in a case where you can afford a T2 or T3 item, you might want to do that, and just get one or two Wards to cover you a bit...and then pick up Chalice when it's not a choice between that or a nice boost to your damage potential. Get what I'm saying?

Hi thanks for the feedback
  • so on point 1. yeah thanks ill put an ability discussion topic area i haven't yet because you want to mostly combo your abilities so with an ability would have a lot to do with another but yeah ill make a section for that, and ill go more in depth about approaching with pounce and how to use it and other abilities.

  • and point 2. the chalice of the oracle i dont use anymore but its recommended for newer players that forget to ward ya know, and yeah i get what your saying because it is expensive and i might need to find another spot for it in the build such as after a different item or something like that.

This is literally the Bastet build I use. Nice to see another 1000+ worshippers Bastet player around! +1 from me!

Seems very solid overall.

You should consider Ancile (on-see-lay (hahahaha)) as a situational item at least.

Plus, I liked the cute face in the title, will give a +1 hahaha

What is your opinion on Masamune as an item option?

Also, I like the idea of including recent changes to the god in the guide.

Hi thanks for giving your ideas and on how i put the recent god changes

Anyway here is my opinion on using Masamune

My opinion on Masamune is that the protections can be nice, but over the other offensive item options is that its not to much viable, with bastet you want to get in with Pounce and do as much damage as possible then get out with Pounce again but the item doesn't really fit with how she plays. You can build some more defense, but then to maintain high damage and protections in the overall game going for Shifter's Shield would be a better and more viable option with her playstyle. The movement speed and the 50 physical damage isn't to much to trade out for the Titan's Bane damage against protections or Brawler's Beat Stick which provides 40 physical power, 15 penetration and also its passive for how it only applies from using abilities. Also giving up penetration especially in this current time shouldn't be traded out for.

I agree that it is outclassed by other item options. I meant for it to be more of a situational pick. An item with offensive focus that provides minimal defensive perks.

For example: Warrior Tabi, Transcendence, Jotunn's Wrath, Heartseeker, The Crusher, Masamune.
(Offensive build for pub-stomping where you don't necessarily need to fully commit to a defensive item)

Again, I agree that it isn't the best item in most situations though.

The updates to this guide look great by the way. Nice job.
