Hello, orry for my bad english and maybe my noobbish build, but i am newbie of the game.I have played her a lot till mastery X on pc and mastery 3 on ps4.I don't like play as a suppoert, but with her i fell good with the build i have showed. For the solo i like the
Mystical Mail that can help clear fast and be annoyong for the opposite solo.I like to end with
Masamune cause it is a defensive tool and a offensive one,u can stay more on valor stance due the movemente speed and do some serius damage. i will appreciate some tips for the builds and wuold know if it can be good.Thanks.

Ama is an AA warrior, so going
Both builds need more potions though I would swap out the
As for when to buy, it depends on your team comp as Kriega said. If you have one or more AA based gods (e.g.
Technically, you can never get TOO much defense. There's no cap you're ever going to realistically hit at this point.
However, the more protections you get, often the less additional protections are going to do for you.
There are things you can do to maximize your tankiness, outside of directly getting physical and magical protections.
- Increase your health. Health straight up plays a role in how much damaqe you can take before dying. That's probably very obvious, but it's important to remember. When building tanky, you don't want to just get protections...don't just go
Breastplate of Valor,
Shogun's Kusari, and
Spirit Robe or whatever. Get items that also have health. The combination of protections and health is termed effective health, or eHP. Look at topic 1.2 in The Word of Thoth.
- Add mitigations. % Mitigation is like protections, but separate. It works in a linear fashion, and its damage reduction is calculated BEFORE protections are considered. It is also the only way to counter true damage, which happens from some abilities (e.g.
Bakasura's
Butcher Blades) and also when enemies build enough pen items and you don't build any protections from items.
Oni Hunter's Garb (up to 9%, based on how many enemy gods are nearby) and
Spirit Robe (temporary 15% for 3 seconds when hit by hard CC). Both are situational in how/when they give you mitigations, but both are often worth it.
- Remember that enemy pen/protection reduction affects your protections. So getting more protections will obviously help. You still have to beware of enemies getting strong pen (e.g.
Titan's Bane,
The Executioner,
Obsidian Shard,
Demonic Grip), and this is why combining health, protections, and mitigations are the best idea.
Understand that most Guardians and Warriors have generally good base damage, but often somewhat poor scaling (this isn't the case all the time, but fits in general). This means building power isn't always going to do all that much for you, unless you dedicate enough of your build to both power AND pen. And that takes away from your tankiness. Unlike mages, assassins, or hunters, you can deal somewhat reasonable damage WITHOUT building full glass cannon.Your options for % mitigation are
So then, if you're looking to help with your damage output, your typical "best" direction is to include bruiser items in your build...things with offensive AND defensive potential. Items that fall in that category include:
Stone Cutting Sword (though this is more of an Assassin item, usually wouldn't suggest for Ama)
Ancile (also probably wouldn't suggest for Ama, though the CDR is nice)
Shogun's Kusari (doesn't have power, but does increase attack speed, and Ama has some decent basic attack function)
Void Shield (this is a great bruiser item, as it provides power, health, phys protection, and protection reduction...that protection reduction of 20 is like having an item with 20 pen, but also helps other physical teammates deal more damage)
Masamune (this is okay maybe...nice power, and situational protections, plus some added speed)
Witchblade (Like Shogun's, provides some attack speed and CDR, but also has health, and counters enemy basic attackers by slowing their AS)
Hope this info helps. There's no soft cap for protections vs. damage. A soft cap would have a set value (e.g. linear) up to a certain point, with amounts past that value being penalized by a certain percent. Movement speed has a soft cap (actually 2 soft caps). Protections have what would be called diminished efficiency...for every extra point added, the effectiveness decreases by a greater %. This is why you see a curve on the graph.
To figure out what would be most efficient in balancing mitigations, protections, and health, it would require waaaay too many calculations...so just keep it in mind that you really want to just build a combination of items that gives you decent amounts of everything, when going tanky.
So when going
Also you can get Void Shield as a support but usually only if you're ahead or if you're team has 4 physicals etc...

It's just you don't need Hastened Katana on Ama at all.
Also Ama's waveclear isn't the best, so guardians blessing is also an option in solo, you can also rush beserkers shield.
