I gotta agree with this build.

as a stacking item is best to get at 2nd item (3rd is possible but not the best place)
And this build has more CDR

I agree as well, that's a very good build.
Warlock's Sash can be traded with Book of Thoth when you are very confident about your escape options, as it will give you more magical power and "infinite" mana.

I'd still put the Soul Reaver instead of Ethereal Staff, but that's not a major difference, especially considering you won't have time to put it online in most games.

What about Bancroft's Talon and Gem of Isolation? I like both items on him, but obviously haven't played the game enough to know whether they're better than alternatives.

Bancroft's Talon works pretty well for the lifesteal item.

Gem of Isolation is situational on some mages (I find it core for Poseidon) but for janus I don't really feel it is as his combo is slowing with his threshold.

The places you can put these items are instead of a stacking item or last item (but then your pen and tahuti will go to 5th and 6th item and the last item to 4th)

I like them on certain gods were I feel full CDR isn't a big thing.

Yeah but early pen on Janus is huge in damage output since he's all about burst damage. Also, he doesn't have enough mana to use abilities that often Shoes of Focus early :/

The advantage only really begins to kick in after you grab Obsidian Shard

I agree. I usually go with pen boots and switch it to cooldown boots when I have all my items online. :)

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
