Game Start

Pick one of the starter items, you will sell this when you are full build so that you can replace it with another stronger item. This is to get you started. After this you would immediately go for the Ninja Tabi so that you can gain that attack speed and a bit of power.

Mid Game

You should be aiming to build up your attack power and attack speed during this section of play. You should be staying in the lane and managing the creeps. Odysseus bow will help with that tremendously.

Your ult only works when you are hitting enemies that are facing you. Enemies that are facing the opposite direction will only be slowed and hurt. Ones you hit face on will turn to stone and this will allow you to finish them off.

Defensively your ult can be used to slow an oncoming onslaught, or can be used aggressively to push back the lane

If I stop making jokes about Deathbringer will people stop building it as their only crit item?

No, because it brings too much death.

Hi Valknight,

Some major flaws with this build that I'd like to point out. I wouldn't recommend this to "newbs" at all.
  • You're building Transcendence, which is fine for Medusa. But your supporting item choices are terrible.

  • If you do commit to critical damage, mathematically speaking, you need to get 2 items for decent effect. You're only getting Deathbringer. You want somewhere in the range of 50-60% crit at minimum. 25% isn't reliable enough to get the most out of the item.

  • With the idea of getting Trans, you're typically going for a high power/pen build. You're missing the pen. The Crusher's 15 flat doesn't count. Either you commit more to basic attacks, in which case you get The Executioner, or you commit fully into ability use, and you consider getting Titan's Bane. NEITHER is listed. This is a huge oversight.

  • I can see the nice function of waveclear and poke with Odysseus' Bow, but in all honesty, it's not optimal that early in the build. If anything, it's best late-game, and probably only when you're building into Qin's Sais, which you sadly only have as a situational item.

  • Bloodforge is okay, especially since you don't build any other lifesteal, but if you get it, you should probably delay til later. Your other options are to get Devourer's Gauntlet early instead of Trans, or pick up Asi in the 3rd or 4th slot (and again, don't get O-Bow that early if you do get it), and replace it with BF late.

  • I'm not sure what you're doing with your skill leveling, but you're not committing to practically anything, and that shows lack of, well, knowledge.

Priority in most cases is going to be Acid Spray for the early wave clear. After you've maxed that (or gotten it close to max), you'll focus on Viper Shot, which will help your burst damage and starts ramping up in function as you're also building into attack speed at that point (possibly The Crusher early, or going right into The Executioner in the 3rd slot).

You shouldn't put more than 1 point into Lacerate until your other abilities are maxed. You don't get increased healing reduction, or CD, etc., from leveling it...only damage...but that damage not only has less function than the other 2 normal abilities, but it is also sometimes used for escape, which means you get absolutely nothing in those cases for leveling it up.

Please don't level your skills like this. It reduces your effectiveness.
