Bastet: Goddess of Cats. I was a jungler main in LoL before I picked up Smite and absolutely fell in love with it's high skill and risk mechanics, and when I first came to this game, I immediately looked at the jungle gods. 
Fenrir and Bastet were the ones that caught my eye first, and I eventually settled on her. (It wasn't because of her chest, I promise. >w>) Since then, I've become Legendary with her, and sport an average K:D of 8:1. In this guide, I will teach you how to play Bastet, the fundamental mechanics of jungling, when to gank with her, when to prioritize farming, how to build her, and how to keep your map presence up so high that the enemy team will be afraid to come out from under their towers if you're MIA. Bastet is one of the most underrated and rarely played gods in the game. You don't see her much, in ranked or casuals, and she is rarely (if ever) streamed. So if so many people consider her to be low tier, then why bother playing her? Because of how rarely she's seen, many, many players don't know how to counter her, or what to do when Bastet is attacking them. Many players never figure out that if she has her return Pounce buff, she's immune to CC, many players don't realize a huge amount of her damage comes from DoT's, and surprisingly, many don't even know she can return Pounce back to her original location, making her a low risk ganker. Many players will be unable to react in time when they're suddenly suffering from an onslaught of slows, DoT's, and cats. Those who decide to turn around and fight will find themselves attacking thin air as you nonchalantly Pounce back into the jungle to come around for another pass. Bastet's remodel is coming out soon, which will probably make her become popular, not to mention give her a real autoattack which will be a massive buff for her. I thought I'd write this guide beforehand so people can pick up some helpful tips and master her before everyone else starts playing her, and because she is an amazing, and highly under-rated god. Bastet, and just wanted a build, then skip straight to "The Build: What and When to Build It" section. A lot of this guide assumes the player is completely new to Bastet, and mildly new to jungling.

Pros Amazing escapist, amazing chaser. Very few counters, and even fewer people that know how. No other assassin is better at taking out back line gods in the middle of a teamfight, and surviving it. Able to solo the fire giant in less then 30 seconds. Healthy assortment of self speed buffs and enemy slows. Never really need to buy Beads if you're smart with Pounce, save for an enemy  Ares (His  No Escape seems to be able to yank you out of the air even mid Pounce, which I find kind of BS). |
Cons
Extremely squishy. Extremely low damage output unless you go full high risk, which speaks for itself. Terrible early game, almost completely unable to gank until level 5. Requires you to snowball/have a low death count, or you will reach the endgame much later then everyone else. Ares and  Nemesis (Two very common Gods) Directly counter Bastet. Weak to medium clear times, depends on  Hand of the Gods for buff camps.

Bastet lands an ability, it applies an Open Wound, increasing the damage of her next ability by 20%. ALWAYS try to time it so that your Razor Claws get the boosted 20%, IE initiate with your Pounce, use Razor Claws after you land, if the Pounce doesn't hit/deal damage, hit with a Nine Tails, then use Razor Claws.
Pounce
Bastet shine the most. Pounce allows you to leap towards an enemy (or away) hitting them for damage and applying an Open Wound, and for a few seconds afterword you get a buff. While this buff is active, you have a boosted movement speed, and if you activate the Pounce skill again before the buff vanishes, you will immediately Pounce back to where you started, from anywhere on the map, regardless of any form of CC, silence, or cripple (however, knock up can and will stop you), and make you immune to such effects while flying through the air. |
Razor ClawsRazor Claws
A very amazing damaging ability, and the one you prioritize above everything but your Cat Call when it comes to leveling. This ability applies a damage over time bleed effect, hitting massive amounts of damage per tick for a few seconds afterword. This will land you many kills, even when you least expect it. It's extremely nice to Razor Claws a fleeing enemy just before they run under their tower, and laugh as you get the kill while running back to yours. ALWAYS try to land this ability after applying an Open Wound with one of Bastet's other abilities.

Nine TailsNine Tails
Bastet's most underrated ability, but one you should learn to use. Nine Tails hits a decent amount of damage, applies an Open Wound, and causes slow. It's a skillshot, with a nice amount of range. I've sniped people out from under towers with this before, and it's an amazing chaser. Someone skilled can even whip around and Nine Tails an enemy that is chasing them and continue running without slowing down at all. This is a skillshot, with a slight delay, so it's mildly difficult to land for some, but get good with it, because it is an important skill.

Cat CallCat Call
Here it is, the ultimate, Bastet's Coup De Grace, the ability that enemies know and fear no matter how rarely they see Bastet. Bastet summons a trio of cats who will charge at the nearest bleeding god, or if there are no bleeding gods present, the nearest enemy (including minions!), and immediately begin to AA them. So make sure you land a Razor Claws before you hit this skill, or it's a wasted ultimate. These AA's hit hard in the early game, but start to become lackluster as the game progresses. The great thing about them though is that you can use the cats to box gods in, and because each of their autoattacks slow down the god it hits. Use your cats to score kills in the early game. After that, save them for only two situations: When you think an enemy will get away if you don't use them, or to keep a god off your back while you flee.

Bastet's role is really dependent on how far along the game has progressed, it changes constantly and unfortunately a lot of your teammates probably won't understand what you're trying to do or can do as Bastet, but that you should know.
Bastet's only gankability comes from her Cat Call, at level 5. Albeit, in certain situations smart use of her Razor Claws and Nine Tails abilities without her ultimate can land kills as well if you work together with your lane. Bastet's biggest flaw, her only failing. She is terrible in a team fight unless you build bruiser--and then her damage becomes abysmal. Bastet can't commit to a large scale fight without quickly getting destroyed, so only join in teamfights when Pounce is cooled down, and get out before you lose your return Pounce buff. Your job during teamfights is to: Pounce past the enemy guardian and take out a mage or hunter hanging out in the back. At the very least you can send them home, but I have quite easily taken out ADC's and Mages who built no physical protection items with just autoattacks alone in the two seconds before the return Pounce buff wears off. Pounce into the middle of the team, DoT everyone up with your Razor Claws, then Pounce back to safety. If your team is lucky, the enemy team will have blown a lot of their cooldowns/cc's at the Bastet landing in the middle of them, distracting them for your team to burst in as you flee away to go find some minions to AA for lifesteal heal.
If you're familiar with jungling and with Bastet's playstyle, and just came here for the build, then this is the section I recommend you read. If it's your first time running a high risk build, I also highly recommend reading the next section, "Starting Out", as Bastet's early game is abysmal, and doing poorly can cause you to lag behind your teammates, or worse, the enemy.
Bastet requires a vastly different starting loadout then other Jungles, due to her weak clear time, and the zero benefit she gets from 
Bumba's Mask. That's right, Bumba's Mask is a NO-GO for Bastet. You will never get back as much health as you lost to clear that camp, leading you to have to recall due to low health anyway long before you run out of mana.|

Death's Toll. The +15 power is actually a drastic and noticeable increase in clear times in the early game, and combined with the faster clear and the +5 health every time you AA, you actually return more health then you would from Bumba's Mask. |
Hand of the Gods Rank Two
Hand of the Gods rank 2. Why rank 2? It cools down 30 seconds faster, and that means you can use it more often to clear buff camps. Unfortunately Bastet relies heavily on Hand of the Gods for clearing these camps, not to mention Hand of the Gods is great for Pouncing into the middle harpy camps and stealing the kills right out from under the enemy jungler or mid, then Pouncing back out.

Consumables
Healing Potion and a Mana Potion. You will need the Healing Potion to clear all of the camps before your first recall, the Mana Potion is just a "just in case" you need mana to go gank a lane while you're in the middle of farming. If you so desire, you can scrap the Mana Potion to grab a  Ward instead, and ward the middle harpy camps or something.

(1).Heartseeker
Heartseeker, the core of this high risk build. For every creep you kill with a maxxed Heartseeker, you gain a stack. For every god killed, you get two stacks. Every stack, to a maximum of 50, gives you +1 power, not to mention the inherit 8% move speed and 25 power from the item itself. This is what starts you on the snowball, and every camp you clear will make the next one that much faster. Note, if you die, you lose half of all your current stacks, hence high risk. |
(2).Devourer's Gauntlet
Devourer's Gauntlet gives you a stack per creep kill, and 5 stacks per god kill, to a maximum of 60. Each stack gives you +.25% physical lifesteal, with the base item itself giving you +30 power, and +10% lifesteal. A lot of Bastet's survivability in the endgame depends on having max devourer stacks.

(3).Warrior Tabi
Bastet's slows, self speed buff, and the jungle speed buff to catch or flee, so it isn't a priority until you've started building stacks. Ironically, the most benefit you're getting from this is the +10 armor penetration rather then the speed, as you won't be doing a lot of long distance running with Bastet except to clear camps. Nevertheless, it's good to have when fleeing from gods like  Thanatos or Nemesis.

(4).DeathBringer
Heartseeker stacks, and a max Deathbringer, Bastet can autoattack for up to 800 damage on low protection gods. And all the while they're taking 300 damage ticks from her bleed. Yikes!
Asi, Titan's Bane or Rage

Asi
Asi. A massive boost to Bastet's survability because of the attack speed and +lifesteal, allowing her to win a 1v1 against just about any god. Asi boasts bonuses of 15% lifesteal, 30% attack speed, 15 armor penetration, and whenever your health drops below 35%, you get a bonus 25% lifesteal for 5 seconds, allowing you to burst your health back up in a pinch. |
Titan's Bane
 Sun Wukong,  Chaac, and  Tyr specifically, who will wall a Bastet.) Then in those item's place, you can build a Titan's Bane. Titan's Bane gives you 30 power, and boosts your physical penetration by 33%, so build a Jotunn's Wrath or Asi after this to further increase that number and crack those shells.

Rage
Rage. Build this to compliment your Deathbringer, and make those crits extremely common. Your single target damage will be unmatched by any god, and with that little bonus to attack speed, you get a decent survivability boost as well. I've actually taken to building this over Asi as of late, EXCEPT against a tanky team, where I stick to Titan's Bane + Asi.

(6).Jotunn's Wrath
Titan's Bane, build Asi instead of this. Jotunn's Wrath to be a must have for Bastet, since shorter cooldowns on Pounce means she can leap into teamfights more often and help more. I honestly don't think it's that amazing and didn't actually start building it until Focused Voidblade was removed from the game. With few other armor penetration alternatives though, and with a lot of Bastet's utility dependent on her cooldowns, it's become a good, staple item for her, but I generally only get this item if the enemy team isn't building tanky. Jotunn's Wrath gives you +40 physical power, +150 mana, +11 armor penetration, and reduces all of your cooldowns by 25%. The power and armor pen is actually a nice addition, not to mention the 25% cooldown reduction. You won't really feel that +150 mana in the endgame, unless you choose to rush this item after Warrior Tabi, in which case the mana bonus is a nice boost.

All in all, I can't vote for this guide. It seems like it could be a very good one, and we lack good Bastet guides. But, it's unfinished, the build could use some changes...
