Introduction

Welcome to my 9th over all Guide and it will be on Bacchus The God Of Wine this guide is meant to cover both casual and competitive play for competitive play i would recommend that tank version of Bacchus as its more viable then the magic bruiser and mage Bacchus just for fun builds though magic bruiser can be a option for ranked depending on your own choices and team composition

even though i do give a general skill assignment on the guide read the specific instructions as the starting options are very dependent on how your team starts the game off

i will assume that you know the basics of what AA FG GF AD and AP mean as well as AoE MIA CD and CDR but just in case:

AA - Auto Attack

FG - Fire Giant

GF - Gold Fury

AD - Attack Damage

AP/MP - Ability Power/Magic Power

AoE - Area Of Effect

MIA - Missing In Action

CD - Cooldown

CDR - Cool Down Reduction

HP - Hit Points/health bar

MP - Mana Points

HP5 - Health/hit Point Regeneration per 5 sec

MP5 - Mana point regeneration per 5 sec

DoT - Damage Over Time

HoG - hand of gods

Pros / Cons

Pros:

+ Great Initiation
+ Great CC
+ Very Tanky with his passive Drunk-O-Meter
+ Can make others get drunk with his ultimate Intoxicate and make them dizzy with it ect
+ Low CD with max CDR
+ Very Satisfying to play with if you do well with him makes you feel awesome
+ His melee weapon is a roasted chicken leg i think
+ Has a jump Belly Flop which also knocks up and slows targets
+ Has a good combo with Belly Flop and Belch of the Gods knock up slow and stun combo

Cons:

- Can heave Great mana issues early on
- Must initiate with his jump often for its knock up
- His Belch of the Gods can be canceled out with most forms of CC except slows
- His Belly Flop requires some prediction to land correctly
- Not As Easy to Learn as he looks
- Hard to master properly

Skills

Passive: Drunk-O-Meter: as you use your first spell Chug you fill this meter as it goes up you gain bonus Damage Reduction(not protections)(but a flat % based reduction to all damage you take) and slight Magic power Bonus also when your Tipsy or higher your spells gain additional effect you lose 1% per sec

Spell 1: Chug:you drink gaining bonus protections for 6 sec and fill the passive meter by a specific amount in % values also killing a enemy god makes bacchus Sip fast Drink giving him 10% on the meter

Cost: 50/80/110/140/170 mana.
Cooldown: 10 seconds.

in general: this spell is something you depend on when your not Drunk you lose a fair amount of CC from your kit thus this spell is vital for being effective with Bacchus The God Of Wine we max this last if you get it early you will have severe mana issues

spell 2: Belly Flop: you Jump up into the sky and land on the ground with such force and velocity that you propel anything you hit into the sky aka knock them up and if drunk you somehow slow them down when they land (Don Not Question Laws Of Physics When Drunk

Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana.
Cooldown: 16 seconds.

in general: your main skill no 1 likes to get hit by this as in many cases it means that they will die soon we max this skill First

spell 3: Belch of the Gods:you Unleash a Mighty Belch dealing damage every 0.5 sec for 2 sec if Drunk the Belch will reach such proportions that it will stun the targets Drunk Logic

Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana.
Cooldown: 14 seconds.

in general: your general follow up skill you use it to stun after a knock up to stun them as they land it also lowers healing

spell 4: Intoxicate:your ultimate it deals damage and gives great enlightenment to the foes it hits by making themDrunk and this they will start to strafe left right up and down then go all the way around in general it makes the gods adjust there movement that clashes and mixes with the player command movements from the WSAD keys and makes there screen shake this is really REALLY Annoying when hit by as it can make you dash/jump/blink somewhere you dont want to ect...

Cost: 95 mana.
Cooldown: 90 seconds.

in general:this is the spell that makes you Bacchus GOD OF WINE
Learn how to cast it on instinct and on as many targets as you can

Special Section About Bacchus Starts:

- in most games you get Chug and get drunk in base then pick up blue with HoG and for yourself or carry and your fine with that but in case you cant get blue you may have issues keeping the passive up so be careful about that thats all i was gonna say

Items

here i will explain my items and why i picked those instead of others and ect...

Tank/Support - Bacchus

1 - Mark of the Vanguard or Watcher's Gift are viable valid starting items this depends on if you have either more of a need for gold or if you want to be more tanky early

2 - Reinforced Greaves are my boots of option there higher out of combat speed is something i like though Plated Greaves are also a option as there reduction stacks with your passives reduction making you quite tanky

3 - mystical mark this item overall is to my liking on Bacchus as he tends to stick near his target when he initiates and this can help with the push as well though it can be replaced with Breastplate of Valor instead as its also a very strong option for Bacchus as it solves a lot of mana Issues early on i make a pick for either of these as my 2nd item depending on the enemy team though recently i started to favor Breastplate of Valor over mystical mark for its CDR

4 - Bulwark of Hope over all this is our main item vs magic protections though it can swap places with Pestilence in case of healers being present on the enemy team

5 - Sovereignty this item is a great option as it gives your a aura which gives protections to your whole team when near you it may not seem like much but it helps it also has a lot of HP and protections on it as well

6 - this is were we would get the Pestilence unless we got it early for healers then we would get bulwark of hope here

7 - Here we have a lot of options so i will say what item is good against what and its overall usefulness

7a - Gem of Isolation - this item adds more slows to your spells and makes you much harder to get away from

7b - Gem of Binding - 25% slow on all AA + your already great CC and sticking power makes you quite a threat as the target of your choice will have to use up a combat blink to run away with a double jump like escape because if your Belly Flop is up you jump right after them doing a knock up slow then hitting them once before they land then belching them into a stun

7c - Ethereal Staff - we have some much HP we can literally take 4 or so maybe even 5 ultimate spells in the face without losing more then 75% of your HP (still if they blow all there ultimate's on you and you die still job well done your team should be able to kill the rest of them easy)

7d - Spear of the Magus - this is for when your team needs more magic pen and that your mage chose a Obsidian Shard for the job you get this and if the mage blasts the target your belching the passive of this item makes it so as if the mage had 50%+ penetrations + some base also makes you hit harder

7e - Breastplate of Valor - as you can guess this is here for its CDR which we need we usually want to get it early on but in case it we liked mystical mark and got it 2nd we would get this last or instead of Sovereignty then the item we switched it with would take this spot

i think i mentioned most of the tank items above there and i dont think there are many other options here except for a Divine Ruin in case of healers and heavy life steal

Magic Bruiser - Bacchus

1 - Shoes of Focus - these give us some Magic Power and CDR along with mana so we get them since we need max CDR and mana is welcome though there slower then the tank boot options

2 - Breastplate of Valor - with this we hit max CDR and can solve a lot of mana issues and gives us fair protections

3 - Hide of the Urchin - this item gives us a some of both types of protections along with some HP the passive gives us even more protections which is nice

4 - Focused Void Stone - this item gives us a fair magic protections and magic power along with a lot of magic pen

5 - Ethereal Staff - a lot of HP and some Magic Power and its passive gives us more Magic Power

6 - Rod of Tahuti - for it obvious huge Magic Power and its passive that gives us a lot more Magic Power

the above in general does not have many alternative item choices as it needs those exact items to be effective switching some out for more magic power will take away the protections you need for initiation so if you think you can deal with that feel free to adjust the build to your liking

Mage - Bacchus

1 - Shoes of Focus - for there CDR and magic power and mana

2 - Book of Thoth - for its massive Magic Power and MP5 helps with mana issues

3 - Polynomicon - the sole reason we can be a mage is this item

4 - Breastplate of Valor - so that we can get max CDR and its mana is turned into magic power by the passive effect of Book of Thoth

5 - Rod of Tahuti - for its massive Magic Power and passive for even more of it

6 - Ethereal Staff for its HP and Magic power from the passive or you can get Spear of the Magus for its great pen and synergy with Belch of the Gods

i find this to be the most effective mage Bacchus Build though it is possible to replace Breastplate of Valor with warlock's Sash or Warlock's Ring

Actives

Tank Support and magic bruiser Bacchus Active Options:

1 - Hand of the Gods - this active is a part of your job to secure objectives get buffs helps push or can be made into a Fist of the Gods for bonus CC

2 - Eye of Providence - as a tank this is your job to play with

this is in general you always get for tanking/support

for Mage Bacchus:

1 - Purification Beads this can save your life

2 - Meditation not really a must but can be useful

3 - Aegis Amulet if your about to die to burst this can save you from that burst

nothing else really comes to mind for me for other actives when doing this

The Wine & You (this covers gameplay and combos)

1.when fighting in a lane you want to look for a chance to use Belly Flop and follow it up with a Belch of the Gods in case they have some aracher minions and you have HoG up jump them along with the gods hit hog then continue this combo

2.when trying to maintain your passive Drunk-O-Meter in lane use Chug only when you need to so keep track of how much % of the Drunk-O-Meter you have each 1% is 1 sec of a duration so match the Chug to make up or have a fair gain rate to avoid going OOM(out of mana) to make it simple don't spam Chug

3.when going for a fast kill burst like combo with your spells and the carry's ult you start things off with Belly Flop then hit Intoxicate then follow up with a Belch of the Gods or if you have a Fist of the Gods add in there after or before the Belch of the Gods

4.dont forget to take advantage of your vision with Eye of Providence and make sure to put down 1 ward every 60 sec ward around and near the entry to your blue buff then do the same towards there blue buff and if possible try and get a ward in towards your mid or the GF you can use this to steal there blue when the jungler goes for it with a Belly Flop + HoG (Hand of the gods]] combo ect...

5.Prioritize the Life of your team over your own in 99.9% of the cases in case you have a guy that is hard failing and cant do anything really well at all it may in some cases be more beneficial to just use him as bait instead....

6.Dont Move around Alone Early Game & Somewhat Mid Game unless you have fair vision or have such a absurd advantage that they cant do anything to you at all what so ever...

7.ALWAYS IGNORE THE TANK & FOCUS THE CARRY OF THE ENEMY TEAM IN THE MID/LATE GAME (UNIVERSAL LAW OF ALL TANKS)(and 99% of all other classes there roles are not to kill the tank he is the last target to die but in case they do die a lot and fall behind there usually not that hard 2 kill then until there 4th or 5th items)

Summary

And This Concludes My Guide For Bacchus GOD OF WINE i hope it was of use and help to you he is in general a very good pick for most team compositions so goodluck in your games and may the Wine be With you

Great build on Bacchus, Your item choices are solid (though I don't agree with all of them) and your gameplay section shows you know how to play him. I would add some extra bb coding to the guide to improve readability but overall you did a good job on this.
