Athena DD?

been wondering this for a while, and unfortunatly im not as experienced as most players on here, but i love playing athena and usually come out with a win with many assists due to playing alot of support, which suits me, but im wondering if athena can have a pure dmg build aswell?

since ive not really played alot of mages im not sure which items i shud go for and which to avoid being a magical melee, would love some ideas so i could possibly make a build?

Athena damage, is not a great idea. Unless you are playing jungle (if you play arena it is fine).

You still want some meat on your bones though.

Damage items that are good (shoes is a always pick, other than that pick 3-4 more + protection):
Shoes of the Magi
Obsidian Shard
Void Stone
Bancroft's Talon (Polly used to be good, utilizing her passive ranged attack. But it is pretty **** now)
Ethereal Staff
Soul Reaver
Rod of Tahuti

Stacking items are not a great idea on her, but book is really good if you think you can get the stacks fast enough (75 is a lot in the jungle or in arena as a melee god).

protection items:
for magic you got void stone which should be enough together with some health, if not get Bulwark of Hope or Pestilence ( Stone of Gaia is kind of "meeehh" IMO).
for physical get witched blade if you are vs Art, Merc or other AA gods (or Hide of the Nemean Lion, but it is also "meeehhh"). Mystical Mail is pricey but really really good. Breastplate of Valor is cheap and good (if you aren't getting staff you don't need the health that much either). You could also get male of renewal kind of a middle ground between breastplate and mystical.

Other than that you got the OP as always Hide of the Urchin and the new item I can't remember the name of that also needs stacking.

Ancile is only for physical gods. Athena can't use it.

TBH given that breast plate will have an inch or two leeway for the actual flesh i would estimate 34-36 C
