I wonder why he would think that, lol.

As stated in the Patch Notes:

Physical Ability users (Assassins largely) have struggled to have a sustain item that works for them. Soul Eater will allow these characters to sustain based on the damage their abilities deal.

It seems like they were specifically working to give Assassins a sustain item.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods.
