Poseidon Skills are his bread and butter since his skills have powerfull CC and can melt any squishy target
Passive: 
Changing Tides : Tides changes, as well as Poseidon movement speed.Every succesful basic attack will increase the tide level increasing as well Poseidon movement speed. At full level his next skill deals 20% extra damage, and every skill consumes some tide level
1: Tidal Surge : A poweful skill in the right hands. A wave that travels a long distance damaging and knocking up all enemies in its way. Part of you standard combo,can make a lot of damage. Level this last
2: Trident : Self buff that grants extra movement speed and make your basic attacks a massive destruction weapon.Can be used as an escape, but is ussualy used as an offensive weapon granting Poseidon helpful extra damage. Level this second
3: Whirlpool : Devastating skill,great poke,awesome DoT, and most importlantly,the iniciator of your melter combo. Mixed with Gem of Isolation this skill become a head ache for every one. Max this first
4: Release The Kraken! :Defining Poseidon skill. Awesome damage, knock up and a huge AoE is what makes this your primary weapon. If you have this on cooldown your are losing much of your power, but when this come online you become a beast. Max this whenever you can,every time,every match
Gives 20 early magical power and 3% extra movement speed,everything you need
6% movement speed, combined with the 3% of the Ring, you will move really fast
60 magical power and 10% movement speed are good,but the passive is great.Every time you deal 100 damage to enemy gods you gain a stack. After doing 5000damage (50 stacks) the item evolves and you skills deal 10% extra damage
Cooldown is damage, and this shoes grants 10% early cooldown, as well as damage,mana and of course that movement speed. Everithing of this core on Poseidon
This should be your third item in almost every build. Poseidon skills are great,they will be better if also slows your opponents down.Remember than the basic attacks of Trident also triggers this effect,making Isolation like a 
Frostbound Hammer
Your main choice,gives nice power,mp5 and cooldown.Almost a core item,but some times you can build some defense like Breastplate of Valor or Genji's Guard
Less cdr than Chronos' Pendant but still a good option against tanky enemies
Cheap option that grants some flat pen and a poweful passive,reducing your target protections by 50, after 5 hits with abilities,and for 5 seconds
can also be a good purchase againts really tanky enemies
really powerful item in almost every mage,is also an almost core item with Poseidon.With this your Release The Kraken! will hurt
a nerfed version of 
Hastened Fatalis this no longer makes AA based Poseidon a good option,but can be still useful*This item will be buffed in 4.14 patch making it a more reliable item to build
Can deal lots of damage in an AA combo(explained below)
The relics you choose are situational, but there are some that are always a good purchase
Like all the squishy gods,CC is a great enemy of Poseidonso this active will allow you to escape from one CC every 160/130 seconds.Especially useful against 
No Escape,
Paolao,
Fear No Evil and other non-ultimate hard CC like 
Fearlessand 
Confound
Another good option against high damage ultimates like 
Spirit of the Nine Winds,
Final Judgement and all those annoying skills
bracer of undoingRestores health based on how much damage did you take,so its a great option too since it didnt prevent but restores the damage taken
Global escape for all your teanmates!!
Time to get aggresive!this relic is a hit-or-miss.Its actually a very reliable choice in duel or joust,but also a risky play.If you hit it you will probably get a kill,if you miss it, welp ,you have waste a very valius slot,so aim well with this!
Poseidon combos are really simple,since all of his skills are core for his real combo,and the order is always the same
