Introduction

Everybody by now likely knows the story of Sun Wukong the Monkey King. Now if there is something that Wu can do almost as good as fighting, it's stealing things. This build is focused on being a nuisance that gets right into his enemies faces and steals their shinies. Shinies includes but is not limited to: Speed, Attack Speed, Armor, Damage, and Pride.

Items

Now, I know that this item doesn't fit in with the whole thief thing; trust me though, because it builds a lot of how Wu will behave in this build. It's a fairly a cheap item that gives you 70 Physical Power when you need it, and a decent amount of defense when you really need it. Thus you can come in like a lion, and leave with your tail behind your legs when it's the right time with it. This item can make him scary offensively and defensively played right.

This item made it on the list simply for being The Crusher. I've loved this thing as soon as the devs decided that throwing Bluestone Pendant's passive on it would be fun. And by golly, it was most fun. If you have that one item that you always have a favoring to though, this is the spot for it. After the fundamentals is when the thieving starts.

Tell me how well getting out of dodge goes without speed. Yes, the first thing that Wukong will take from his victims is their speed. And their attack speed too, making their retaliatory skills plummet also. There's not much left to be said, whack them in the face and make sure that they'll be sticking around for a while.

The next valuable thing that Wu will still would be armor. He decided that armor is pretty nice, so he'll also be keeping it for a while. If he gets all 3 stacks from you... Well, I hope you are ready for a sudden armor gap. And shall we not forget the slow before that.

Well, after this, there just isn't much more for wukong to steal. So now every time he hits extra hard he takes damage and speed capacities from the enemy for a while. Between armor, damage, and speed Wukong's foes are certainly sitting ducks by this point. There is nothing that could possibly make it worse...

Wind Demon

Oh wait. Now every time Wu hits somethin' super hard he becomes much faster. Not to mention he hits super hard much more often. So by this point, as long as you can get within range of them, you can make them slower, hit much softer and less often, and take the protection right from them. As for you, well you are much faster now, much more protected, and much more smug.

Pros / Cons

PROS
*Steals everything one holds dear
*Life is tough for target when Wu is close
*This build levels Wu's less then spectacular stats

CONS
*Early game can make this build tough
*Early game
*You have to be on point early game
*Ganks are as salty as ever, if not more so
*You trade stats for yoinks, so don't expect this build
to be particularly OP before you steal stuff.

Summary

All in all ThiefKong is a fun and potentially rewarding build to play. This one takes a bit of practice to get used to, because taking advantage of the steals is where this build shines.
However, because of the reductions in damage and Shifter's defense buff alongside Wu's passive, this build is easily as defensive as it is offensive. I have not seen many builds that can build offensive, but still be incredibly defensive when it needs to be.
Remember to be good early game to avoid snowballing, and enjoy this slightly off meta build.

Crits are very strange on a non Basic attack warrior. Here's what I would build if I wanted a high damage Wukong:

Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Shifter's Shield
The Crusher
Brawler's Beat Stick
Titan's Bane/ Masamune/situational

No boots + crit + virtually no defense items. Oh no.

I'd suggest building boots and defense. Items would depend on the gamemode you're playing and the enemy gods.

"and enjoy this slightly off meta build." - that is a severe understatement. This is a troll build.

Please remove this.

Of course not lol. I even remember the one time I tried crit on Wukong when he still had it in his passive and it was terrible.
