Introduction

Sun Wukong is a deadly god if used correctly. Sun Wukong is also a really fun god to play because of his skills like 72 Transformations where he could either turn as an ox, a tiger, and an eagle. He could play ANY role except MIDand ADC of course. Wukong could really be good if you know how to use him and he will be hard to take down if the opponent knows how to use him right.

This is also my first guide so please tell me what you guys think and give me some feedback, thanks.(Also my grammar is bad.)

Pros / Cons

Pros

Cons

Skills

Skills

Undefeated Body:
Sun Wukong's passive is when he has 40% or less health, he has +10 protection, +10 critical chance plus 1+ physical power and protection depending on his current level. This passive could save you most of the time when you're retreating away from someone with your protection. Also helps you with 1v1 with a god the same health as you because of your physical power. Turns him into a Saiyan pretty much.

The Magic Cudgel:
This ability is really useful for Sun Wukong as it could be used for clearing waves, jungle camps or chasing enemies that are trying to run away from you. Sun Wukong mostly one shots waves with this skill except the brute. This ability really good for poking and could definitely annoy opponents with it. I definitely recommend it to be max level first before any skill Sun Wukong has.

Master's Will:
This ability damages an enemy and slows them down. You could definitely use this when your enemy is trying to run away from you or an enemy that's really close to you and you're trying to run away from him/her and using 72 Transformations.

72 Transformations:
72 Transformations is a skill that lets Sun Wukong turn into an ox, tiger, or eagle like I said in the intro. In ox form, he charges through enemies or minions knocking them aside. The tiger form hitting them enemy stunning them, and damaging them at the same time. Finally, the eagle form where Sun Wukong flies and is immune to slow, root, knockup effects. The tiger is could be used by chasing an enemy who is really low, or stunning the enemy and killing them with a basic attack or ability. The eagle is amazing for escaping or going to a place faster. You could use Ox for waves or knocking the enemies back for your escaping ally to escape from them.

Somersault Cloud:
This ability, you could either retreat with or attack an enemy with. When Sun Wukong is in the air, he heals there and he also spawns a clone of himself to attack minions or enemies. When you're low on health, you could activate this ability and heal as your clone fights, although when the clone dies, Sun Wukong can be seen in the air. When you're attacking an enemy with it, you could use this ability when they're trying to run away from you and possibly kill them.

Items

Starter Items

Bluestone Pendant:
Bluestone Pendant is great for Sun Wukong for his starter item. It helps you clear waves really quick early in the game and also later in the game. You could also do 60 extra damage if you use two abilities on an enemy!(Depending how much protection they have). Bluestone Pendant pairs up well with Sun Wukong's The Magic Cudgel with it's poke as you do a lot of damage with it and helps him a lot.

Bumba's Mask:
Bumba's Mask is a starter item that is mainly on gods playing jungle. Bumba's Mask gives the owner 10 MP5 and it's passive is your basic attack do +10 true damage and your abilities do +10% damage against jungle camps. It also heals you 10% of the camp's max health. A starter for Wukong if you play jungle with him.

Watcher's Gift:
Watcher's Gift gives Wukong 100 health and 5 MP5. It's passive gives you health, mana AND bonus gold if you assist on a kill of a minion or jungle camp. Best choice for this is if you're playing Wukong support.
Items

Warrior Tabi:
The Warrior Tabi is definitely recommended for Sun Wukong. The Ninja Tabi is okay for me but attack speed is useless for Wukong unless you're doing attack speed for Sun Wukong. It also helps you deal more damage with the Warrior Tabi than the Ninja Tabi.

Jotunn's Wrath:
One of Sun Wukong's core items is this. Jotunn's Wrath. gives you 150 mana, 11 penetration and 40 physical power also 25% CDR. Sun Wukong is mana hungry early game and needs this a lot to keep his mana up as you will be needing his abilities a lot. 40 physical power and 11 physical penetration helps him damage enemies with the cooldown reduction helping him use his abilities more.

Shifter's Shield:
Shifter's Shield gives 40 physical power and 20 physical and magical protection . Although over 50% health, You gain additional 20 physical power and under 50% health, you gain additional 20 physical and magical protection. Imagine how tanky you could get with Wukong especially under 35% health because of his passive! (Especially with more protection items)

Breastplate of Valor:
Breastplate of Valor is a MUST have on Wukong if you're doing a bruiser/support build on him. It gives 75 physical protection, 300 mana and 20% CDR. CDR is helpful to all gods and Wukong also gets 300 more mana which is a plus.

Bulwark of Hope:
Bulwark of Hope is an item that gives a god 60 magical protection, 200 health and 20% CC Reduction. It works well on warriors like Wukong on being tanky.

Titan's Bane:
Titan's Bane gives you 30 physical power and gives you 33% penetration on all of your physical attacks. More damage pretty much.

Hide of the Urchin:
Hide of the Urchin gives you 35 physical and magical protection and also 250 health and mana. It's passive adds 3 more physical and magic protection for each god kill and assist. At full stacks (max 10), You have 65 physical and magical protection. Tanky amirite??1?1?

Spirit Robe:
Spirit Robe gives Sun Wukong 40 physical and magical protection while also giving him 10% CDR and 20% CCR. It's passive makes you absorb more damage whenever you're hit with a hard CC. Spirit Robe's pretty good when you're playing Jungle Wukong or when you have no protection items.

Brawler's Beat Stick:
Brawler's Beat Stick gives 40 physical power and 20 physical penetration. It's passive reduces healing and regeneration by 40% when they are hit by your abilities for 8 seconds. Since Wukong is ability-based, it's a nice item for him. This item is also great for Assault with his poke and would be extremely annoying to deal with if you ask me.

Mantle of Discord:
Mantle of Discord gives Wukong 65 physical and magical protection. It also gives 15% CDR. It's passive is if you take damage under 30% health, you unleash a shockwave that stuns enemies for 1 second and also being CC immune for 1 second. This item is a good way to be tanky. Also great for escapes with 72 Transformations.

Hydra's Lament:
Hydra's Lament gives mana depending how much mana you're missing and 10% CDR, also 30 physical. Viable item if you don't have any CDR or mana on your build

The Crusher:
The Crusher gives 30 physical power, 15 pen. and %15 attack speed. The one thing good about this item is it's passive. Helps with cooldown although it can only occur every 5 seconds. The attack speed doesn't help Wukong that much although it'a benefit.

Actives/Relics

Horrific Emblem:
Horrific Emblem slows down enemies and also reduces their attack speed. A nice relic to not let your opponents escape.

Meditation Cloak
Meditation Cloak:
It gives people health and mana. I barely use this but useful. I mostly end up using this on Assault.

Aegis Amulet:
Makes you immune for 2 seconds and allows you to move. Although you can't attack or use your abilities. (That would be too OP). I mainly use it on Jungle Wukong.

Purification Beads:
Makes you immune to CC for 2 seconds. I would probably use this instead of Sanctuary. After all, you have your bird. ( 72 Transformations)

Magic Shell:
MAgic Shell gives the owner and his/her allies around him/her protection and damage taken is reduced by 15%. It also lasts for 5 seconds. Uhh, I'll end up using it as Support Wukong and on Assault.

Heavenly Wings:
(GOTTAGOFAST!1!11!) Heavenly Wings gives the owner and his/her allies within 55 unit range 40% more speed and makes you immune to slows. Lasts for 6 seconds. Once again, Support. Items like these that help your team I just end up using on support.

Teleport Glyph
Teleport:
Teleport to a tower and phoenix, also wards. I use for solo to get to my lane quicker.

Gameplay

Support

You wanna play Support Wukong huh? For Support, I recommend leveling his 2 or 3 first. With your 2, you could help your ADC chase one of your opponents as Wukong's 2 slows down enemies, also damaging too. As with 3, you could disrupt fights and chases with ox form. An example is if one of your allies are low on health and the enemy team is chasing him/her. You could use your 3 (ox form) and hit the enemy team and also using your 2. You could then damage some of them as you wait for 3 to use eagle form and retreat (unless you have some of your allies with you).

Jungle

Jungle, favorite role for Wukong. I mostly like building damage for Wukong even though I'm supposed to make him tanky. In case you didn't know, Wukong combo is his 3, 2 then 1. In between those combos, I would do 1-2 AAs. When I start to play jungle, I help solo lane clear a wave, then the solo and I go to Fire Elementals and clear them. After that, we clear yellow and blue camps and I start to farm XP.

Summary

Sun Wukong is an amazing god to use and could be deadly if used correctly. He's really fun and powerful at the same time. I'm hoping that a lot of people start using him because he's my favorite god to use. Hope this guide helped you on becoming the indestructible Monkey.

I genrally like the guide. Its perfect and well explained. As a sun wukong main. I honestly Preffer having 3 points in your 1 as a start for the "Support" Role. This shall ensure the damage on the minions enough for your adc to clear efficiently. Maxing your 2 early will make you an agro , and early game agro in this meta is not suffient as you can be rushed down early. So max 1 till 3 points then max 2. Apart from that i love how you explained the guide.

Not a huge fan of Wukong in solo, Osiris is my top pick for that lane and Wukong's kit is a bit wonky for me, but I certainly would like to try him out as a support! I'll give your build a whirl. Support needs more variety anyways :P

Hi Kaio, if/when you make changes, make sure you SAVE first, and then hit PUBLISH again. FYI, you can save as you're updating to make sure things look good, and it won't actually show up for other people until you hit publish again.

Glad I could provide some hopefully decent suggestions! Let me know when you change the builds.

Hi Kaiozapta,

Good start, and lots of options. You obviously said WIP, and your guide was published without finishing the descriptions of the items...stops at Bulwark of Hope in the middle of the sentence.

I'll comment on the Arena and Assault builds.

Arena:

  • Shifter's Shield: Not saying this is a bad item, and it does serve dual purposes...a nice power boost normally, and some protections when needed. That said, it's a bit on the expensive size, and depending on matchups, you might find yourself doing more damage with an item like Brawler's Beat Stick. 40 power + 20 pen will get you more damage than 60 power. If you don't want it in your main build example, at least include it as an option w/ the damage items.

  • I'm thinking you already have enough protection from Hide of the Urchin, especially as you build its stacks. That said, if you like Shifter's Shield more for the protection, you might consider Spirit Robe earlier...the damage mitigation helps, you get even more balanced protetions, and although you don't get power from this, the 10% CDR will help you use those abilities more often.

  • I'd personally take Qin's Sais out of the damage items options. He has a pretty slow basic attack sequence, and you're not building any other attack speed items to help get more hits to proc the passive, so, for the price, you're getting very little in effect.

Assault:

  • In Assault, you may not need early move speed. He's already got a great escape in birdy form, and to back that up, an escape + heal in his ult. Since you get a full 3,000 gold, you might be better served starting with a more effective full item...like your item #3 ( Jotunn's Wrath).

  • Stone of Gaia is good for the HP5 if you have no healer, but you can get a decent amount of regen from the 2nd tier version, Emerald Talisman. Getting that lower tier at the start (again, if no healer) allows you to at least get part of another item... Combat Boots if you want some move speed, or Heavy Mace if you want to work toward Jotunn's Wrath.

  • It'd be nice to see a non Stone of Gaia option when you do have a healer. Maybe consider foregoing Breastplate of Valor and Heartward Amulet late in your build and get an early Hide of the Urchin and a later Spirit Robe...you won't have max CDR, but 30% is close enough, and your protections and damage mitigation will be better. Just suggestions.

Anyway, hope my comments are helpful. Keep working on the guide!

I thought a lot about what you said and on the Arena build and the Assault build.

You made a good point on having Brawler's Beat Stick instead of having the Shifter's Shield (since I was already tanky) and also having Qin's Sais on the Power section (Also, Why did I do that? lol). I also thought about having Hide of the Urchin and I think I'm just going to keep it there just so Wukong is tanky. Although I might think about doing a Bruiser build for him in Arena (Although more power) instead of just doing this build I made.

On Assault, you said something about making a build where there was a healer on your team and I did. Hopefully that build works out (lol). Although I might think about putting Hide of the Urchin on the No Healer build (I love that item a lot). Spirit Robe is a good idea too about the mitigation so I might reconsider putting Spirit on my build.

Thanks for the comment and helping me and I appreciate it, I really do :)! Also, I hope you make greater guides in the future. Thanks!
