Introduction

This is a build for the squirrel assassin Ratatoskr. I just wanted to mention that I am not the best at builds by a longshot and I am still learning so the build may change in the future and in the end you don't have to use this it's just a suggestion and what works for me.

Pros / Cons

Pros

Easy to get used to
High burst damage
High mobility
Usually 2 to 3 levels higher than everyone if played right

Cons
Very squishy

Items

The items I have chosen are all damage. This works well as you will be able to clear out jungle camps quickly and also you will be able to burst down squishies. If you feel you are too squishy then feel free to pick up Mantle of Discord.

For the relics I typically run Purification Beads and Aegis but Thorns isn't a bad pick up either. Just make sure you pick the right relics for the situation. Like don't take Purification Beads if the enemy team has very little or no CC abilities, but they are great for stopping the popular Ares/Hades and Poseidon ult combo. Like I said make sure you pick the right ones for the right situation.

Skills

For this section I will assume that you are using the default button layout of 1,2,3,4 for your abilities.

Dart - 1 - Quickly dashes your character in the direction you are looking, damages and slows anyone hit, stops at first god hit. Cooldown reduced by 1s for each god hit by Flurry (2) or Acorn Blast (3).

Flurry - 2 - Spins in a circular motion dealing damage to anyone in the radius and lowering their physical protection.

Acorn Blast - 3 - Throws 3 acorns in a cone dealing damage to anyone hit. If hit by two acorns then they take more damage. If hit by all three acorns then the enemy is stunned for 1s.

Through The Cosmos - 4 - Charges up for a second and then jumps up to a branch. At this point he may jump to two more branches and choose his landing location or cancel it early and land where he is aiming now. When he lands he deals damage and knocks up anyone hit.

Now, use your 4 to catch weak enemies or to traverse the map quicker. Your main combo will most likely be 1,3,2. Dash in with 1, stun with 3 and then kill them or take out a large chunk of health with 2. If needed then chase with 4 but if they are dead then you should be a couple of seconds away from your 1 again so just run and then dash away.

Guide

Now for how to play. Start of by getting speed buff, then clearing out your xp camp and maybe even middle xp camp. After that you should see if it's safe to try and take out their mana and after that fall back and help your solo laner get their mana buff. After that move into to other jungle and again take out the xp camps, then the enemy damage buff if it's up, then help a teammate get your damage buff and finally take out the defense camps. Then go around and try to help out your teammates in other lanes, but if there is a jungle camp that you can take out go for it because if you do that the whole game then when you reach level 20 most if not all the other players in the game will be 15/16/17 so you will have a large level lead which in turn will help you get more kills which will in turn give you more gold. You can buy the elixir of power once you have completed the build and have nothing else to spend gold on.

Summary

Overall this is a very good build imo if you play it right. As I said in the introduction I am still learning so I might look at this later and think what was I building but who knows. Anyways, hope this build works for you as well as it has been for me.

You are right. Guess my brain just didn't work properly during this. Thanks

Alright, now I'll offer a bit more on the comment side of things. I know you say this is just something that works for you, so I'll keep that in mind, but will offer reasons why improvements could be made.
  • Alright, Jotunn's Wrath after finishing Acorn is good. Not sure why Heartseeker is listed before Acorn, but you basically want Acorn online ASAP and it should be the first item completed. Maybe you're showing the actual in-game order, as you replace your Blessing with HS late-game?

  • It's good that you offer a protection item, at least as an alternate. Mantle probably fits him best for dual protections, as he'll appreciate the CDR. He's usually built as a bruiser, rather than pure damage.

  • Titan's Bane got a major nerf, especially in Conquest. It now has varying % pen, and it's still going to be a decent pen item against gods that have at least 70 protections or more (where it's start being the equivalent of 15 flat pen), but that's all it really provides...getting an alternate flat pen item like The Crusher or Brawler's Beat Stick will provide you with the same pen against squishies (or more if they're not around level 20 yet) and give you other utility (Crusher = added damage from abilities and some attack speed, Brawler's = anti-heal). If you DO consider TB, it should probably be as a situational pick against particularly tank heavy teams, and it should probably be built as item 5 or 6. After all, you probably want to be prioritizing squishier gods first.

Another major, major thing is that % pen no longer applies to objectives. This really cuts into its utility.

Finally something to think about with TB is that it's a bit less efficient since you've got Flurry, which provides protection reduction. For good pen effect, you're probably better off being a bit more synergistic with your kit via Stone Cutting Sword (which you do have, and is functional as long as you get enough basics off), or even consider Void Shield, which has the protection reduction aura. I think you might want to check more into the mechanics of these pen type items for better understanding.

  • If you in fact build Stone Cutting Sword, you don't really need much more movement speed, since you've got your Dart and a base movespeed just a bit faster than standard Tabi. But you not only build SCS, but you're also building Hastened Katana AND Heartseeker? Okay, so on the movespeed front, 30% might be on the low side of junglers, if they decide to go with Talaria/Travelers + 1 other movespeed item. But Hastened Katana just isn't a good choice for him IMO. Rat is an ability-based god, not basic attack. You've got plenty of things in your kit to help you stick to an enemy...Katana really needs to go except as a fun casual fling.

  • Other items to consider would probably include Hydra's Lament (great for attack canceling in between abilities, and the CDR is nice), and for example, if you decide on a late Mantle, an earlier Hide of the Urchin would make you tanky enough in the middle of a match with the proper type of protection (the shield should be great for gods that go in, deal their damage, and then disengage, which will allow the shield to regen...but remains to be seen just how effective Urchin will be in S5...just an idea).
