Hi once again, I'm back again with my second favorite assassin in Smite Mercury. Now... Mercury is one of the hard hitting assassin in the game, his late game is cancerous. I just want to mention that I'm not an expert in Conquest and also English is not my first language so please try to understand me. I will try my best to explain his abilities and items. Let's get right on to the build! :)

Like I said, I'm not a conquest player, but I've seen a lot of players enough to make this guide. I do play conquest but not a lot. Now, pick your starting items. This also works in different game modes like Arena, Joust etc... Feel free to use it. :)

Merc's Items

Choice of Relics

Now when it comes to relics, it all comes down to your personal preference or current situation. Feel free to experiment but this is what I often use when using Mercury.

Conquest Basic Guide, Warding Locations & Knowing your role.

If you are new to Conquest, I created for you a map to know the basic of conquest. For those who are expert on Conquest please help out on the comment section too. I created this because on consoles, there are a lot of people who don't know how to play. Hopefully this give them an idea how to play it. Don't worry I play on both platforms as well. This is how you can get better at Smite by playing the standard game mode Conquest. Also I just want to explain and discuss the role in conquest because I've seen a lot of people often INSTA-Lock their gods without knowing their roles. It's pretty annoying sometimes. So here's the basic guide for conquest.

Duo Lane: The duo lane is usually consist of ADC Hunter and Guardian. Sometimes you face other opposite roles, mages like Sol, Chronos etc. They are often called "CARRY" because most of the time they deal a lot of damage late game. They can carry the whole team if they work together. Guardians however are they til mid game to help the ADC to get to that level in late game which is to win your lane and push til tier 2 tower is down.

Mid Lane: Primarily in this lane, you'll see mages in this area. It doesn't have to be mage all the time. I believe this is wear where mage are usually good. Note though,a lot of a potential team fight or gank happens in this area. Just be careful and don't forget to ward your lane.

Solo Lane: This is where warriors and assassins start most of the time. A lot of fight happens because of the fire giant minions and camps. This lane will be probably challenging for beginners since Assassins love this area so much. Make sure you buy wards and watch out for them. If you are behind in level, please just farm EXP, do not participate in a team fight.

Jungler: Junglers are mostly assassins. Their roles are pretty much go around the map trying to help both Mid and Duo lane. You'll see on the map those red spray paint, those are your territories, Junglers and ADC brings a lot of fire power, just make sure you tell people when you are going to their lane.

Ward Locations: Warding your lane is pretty essential in Conquest, this will help you to track people if they are coming to your lane looking for a "Gank". You can also counter wards by buying a Sentry Ward this acts like a normal ward but it allows you to remove the enemy's ward within that radius. This is useful for remove those items in the Fire Giant location or Gold Fury or maybe in your lane overall. It's one of the keys to winning the game. Without warding and proper communication, you're more likely lose! :P

(Looks like I made a mistake in the conquest map. I called the Oracle Harpy "Gold Fury Wards", my mistake. They are called Oracle Harpy by the way. :P)

Match Ups (Do's and Don'ts)

Knowing your target when playing Mercury is really important. Here's some gods you should go after. Keep in mind, you should try to ignore going after warriors and guardians in the early game, because you probably not gonna do a lot of damage to them until later in the game. However, that doesn't mean you couldn't kill them.
