The original Little Busters VN did not have Hentai scenes, but EX added them, for all character routes including the new ones and the old ones. You have the opportunity to disable them.
It's not the hentai scenes that people were wanting, it's the character arcs I believe.
Perhaps it's just me, but didn't this anime have an arc for just about every character? Perhaps it doesn't have some characters from the VN, I dunno.
Little Busters! EX contained story arcs for Sasasasasa (Sasasegawa, but Rin saying Sasasasasa is just too adorable) Sasami, Futaki Kanata and also a new character called Saya Tokido.
Otome wa Boku ni Koi*****ru... For such an awesome concept and story, they really are not using it to its full potential. The main character may as well be a girl and the story would basically be the same. The only difference would be a lack of mildly humorous moments.
So, I'll admit it was a pretty good anime. But I feel like ya'll give it too much credit. First off, I ****ing hated Madoka. She's my least favorite stereotype to exponential proportions. You warned us about episodes three and eleven, and neither of them really impacted me. Like I said, I can spot a death flag from a mile away. And in fact, I honestly don't know what impactful thing you were referring to in episode eleven - it seemed like a buildup for the end rather than anything else.
Also, Homura's story felt a lot like my least favorite art about Steins;Gate (still enjoyed it). I mean, it was great storytelling on both parts, and interesting to watch how each
individual
individual timeline resulted in the same end until one huge change managed to push through the constant failure
, no doubt. But I called it both times, so it wasn't all that much of a shocker.
I also kind of called it that
Sayaka
would turn into a witch. It was obvious considering how their souls needed to be "cleansed" and all. But I thought she was gonna be the big bad Grimwalt wor whatever it was.
Honestly,
what I would have preferred
if Homura had not been able to recover Sayaka's soul when Modaka tossed it, I think the anime could have taken a much better course. Could you imagine how much that would **** Madoka up? If she had killed her friend like that.
Still, it was overall a good anime that I'm glad I watched, even if I feel slightly let down. That said, if I had watched it without being given such high expectations, I probably would've really been impressed.
Also, please tell me why the **** they had to make those two girls naked for that entire ******** ending? Seriously. Clothes, please.
He reminds me of, call me crazy, the titans from Shingeki no Kyojin. Okay, here me out here. The titans kill people, they're evil, in the sense of 'the absence of good'. But, they are not evil in the sense that they will freely commit moral sin. It is simply venial sin, as they do not have full knowledge of what they are doing. But you see, normal titans do not kill with the intention to kill. They kill with the intention to eat, so really, they do not know that they are killing people, they are just eating. I mean, this happens in our real world as well, basic year 7 science, it's just a food chain. And while humans are at the top in our modern world, it is clear that titans are in their world, so it is only natural for humans to be eaten.
I very much disagree
The titans were shown to receive all their nourishment from the sun. In fact, they don't even have digestive systems, and everyone they eat will eventually be regurgitated (long after they're dead, of course). It would be like me ripping the wings off a fly - there is no benefit to me whatsoever, but is unthinkably horrible for the fly. That said, I agree that Kyubey was not an evil force, but rather a cold, calculating force of efficiency.
If Kyubey, assuming this is the American justice system, where people are just desperate to press charges on people and pull the trigger (#ShotsFired) that they actually resorted to pressing charges against a rabbit, Kyubey's reasoning, that he was collecting energy from post-pubescent pre-pubescent loli girls because it created emotional energy or something like that, charges could not be pressed because he considers himself as doing god's work, and anyone who does god's work is clearly bat**** insane with a mental illness, and full charges can not be presssed.
Ok, that's it for my rant on Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica.
Objection!
He never says he's "doing god's work," but rather what his race believes is the best way to lengthen the lifespan of the universe. I'd say it would be considered to be some equivalent of premeditated murder, in a way, and he would be convicted for three-hundred and one-half billion lifespans.
I liked Kyubey, by the way. I think he was done well.
When I first watched this, I expected some kind of gore-fest...and it was sort of true. It was certainly shocking when Mami died.
I think Mami is one of my favorite characters because of how she is used. She's presented in a way that makes her impossible to dislike (not hyper idealistic, experienced, smart), which makes her sudden death even more impactful, and from a narrative point of view, her sudden snap in one of the alternate timelines was a masterstroke of toying with the audience's emotions.
Sayaka is definitely a polarizing character. Kyubey's design was also done pretty well, he looks small and unassuming, then he begins to look creepy.
I also loved the eldritch backdrops of each witch. I always love it when two different art styles are used for contrast.
