Been checking out AIR, it's pretty good, but it isn't anything compared to Clannad or Kodomo no Jikan, damn, though, Jun Maeda is a genius. Soon as I'm done with AIR I'm watching more of his stuff, probably Angel Beats.
I'm really starting to get into the "slice of life" genre.

You see, people completely misinterpret what the story line is actually talking about, and just write it off as hentai. First of all, despite all the ECCHI elements in it, the story was still good. In fact, the nudity and very softcore sex in it actually adds to the storyline, and very rarely is put in as fan-service (the main exception is the Motoka-storyline that plays after the actual anime as some bonus content). It pains me when people write this off as hentai, because it isn't. Think about it this way, if a movie, say... Looper, has titties and sex in it, is it instantly a porno? No, of course not, because there is a storyline, and the sex is generally used to show a developing relationship. However, since this type of film technique has not been used in anime yet, it's simply written off as hentai. To put it simple, if you are coming to this series for some amazing fap material, get the **** out. First of all, for all the reasons above, and second of all, how about you get yo' *** on a real site and actually watch some real people you sick bastard (kidding, I don't really care what you watch).

Sounds exactly like Kodomo no Jikan.

Oh my god, Angel Beats is the best. Well, after Natsume Yuujinchou and Chuunibyou of course.

So far, Angel Beats is really weird. I've only seen episode 1 so far, but I plan on finishing it.

Episode 2 is when I got hooked. That's when the hilarity starts.

Going on an anime binge starting Sunday, meaning starting Friday. Got any suggestions for me? My favorite genre is either intense, psychological plots (rather than simple action, although action is a bonus in a good story) or Romantic Comedies (provides there isn't too much ecchi).

@HiFromBuddha: I know you've been watching Golden Time - do you think the story is getting better or worse? I'm trying to not watch any episodes until every episode has been released in order to enjoy it more. I'd be disappointed if it went downhill.

No spoils, though! >:\

Side note: I remember watching Angel Beats again a few months ago and the train scene was much less depressing. I guess there just didn't seem to be as much development when I already knew what was happening/would happen, and I could have sworn it was a longer segment of the show. Pretty sure it ended in just one episode, though. <--don't think there were any spoils in this.

I actually only have seen 1 episode of it actually. I honestly can't tell if it actually is going downhill, but if Toradora! is any indication, then I feel that the story will remain solid, with its peak being at the very start. So, yes, based on these assumptions, it would go downhill at the start to the point of where it is good as opposed to great where it started at. But I just need to watch it and see.

Also, some recommendations for your binge. Well, in case for the unlikely chance that you haven't watched it, The Future Diary (Mirrai Nikki(The full series one, not the one episode OVA) is basically THE psychological thriller in my opinion. I've only seen a tiny bit of it though, so I can't tell you about the end, but most likely you have seen it if you are a fan on psychological thrillers.

Other than that, I don't really watch all too many psychological thrillers (although I would like to).

Other recommendations:

Steins;Gate: You might've seen it already, but this is one of my favourite series of all time. In case you haven't seen it, this anime has a very weird genre to it. It starts off as a really unique slice of life/light comedy series, and then mid way through the series, small spoilers, **** hits the ceiling fan and it is one of the most intense and sometimes depressing dramas I have ever seen. A theme of science is present throughout the whole series. This is one of my all time favourites, and is actually ranked 2 or 3 on MAL.

Kamisama Hajimema****a: I'm not sure if you actually would like this series, but it's worth a try. I'll tell you the reasons why you may not like it first and if you think you can get over these, then I'll tell you about the positives. First, it's very obvious it's a more feminine anime. The anime is told through a completely average girl's point of view, and she meets an apparently really hot guy (who's a demon, spoilers). This is a reverse harem anime, like Ouran High School Host Club. Also, this isn't a very serious or matter of fact, mature series. It's very light-hearted. and doesn't take itself too seriously in all honestly. Also, the jokes won't leave you bursting out in laughter, just a lot of chuckles and smiles here and there.
~~Now for the good parts. The main reason I like this series so much is because of how charming it is. The main character is moe, no doubt about it. With a moe character comes a character that I found incredibly likable. Also with the charm comes a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. There are only a small amount of intense moments, and even then, they aren't trying too hard to actually leave you at the edge of your seat. While it does seem like the negatives outweigh the positives, I just find it hard to state what I liked about. I don;t know what it is, but I simply found myself with a smile throughout the whole series. It's just incredibly hard to actually hate this series, because the creators just made every character so likable that you just can't find any reason to hate it all too much. Also, this mainly applies to you, but there is also no ecchi at all in this series.
Well that was a long rant.

Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga ****ai: This is just the best. Like Kamisama Hajimema****a, you just love this anime because of how charming it is. It's just awesome. The characters are all done amazingly well and every single one of them is very likable. This series is adorable, mainly because of the main character Rikka. I just find it hard to write a lot about, because it's just overwhelming how many things are great about this series. Most DEFINITELY check this series out. This is, once again, one of my all time favourites, and I truly believe that you should watch this. Since I find it hard to give it some proper reviews, I'll just compile a list of adjectives that describe this series:
    Charming
    Adorable
    Fun
    Light-hearted
    Romantic
    Saddening
    Uplifting
    Funny
    Silly (at times)
Gripping (In the sense that it captures your attention and doesn't leave you bored, not as in it's incredibly intense)
    Leaves you happy
And the list just goes on.

My Little Monster: I actually haven't seen this series yet, but I am very eager to start watching it. My apologies, but I'll just copypasta a review from MAL.

"It is a shame that rom-coms today are completely infested with harems, where an ordinary guy pimps multiple beautifully-pixelated girls. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, my friends, is how a romantic comedy should strive to be. First of all, there are two key elements that make up for a successful romantic comedy: romance and comedy. I don't consider romance to be: I love you because you are the main character of this story, and there is no particular reason why. I also don't consider comedy to be constant sexual innuendos and sexual harassment. It is not funny, not to mention overdone.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is an feel good love story. Amazingly, the appeal does not depend on the size of one's breasts. The two main characters, Shizuku and Haru, make up a hilarious dynamic duo. They are both socially awkward, combined with the fact that they have no earthly idea of how a relationship works. This is actually a big positive, because the story avoids all the generics in your typical relationship cycle. Skip the "fated encounter", the "commonalities", the "date", the "predicament", the "make up", and the "confession". Haru and Shizuku are simply oblivious to the norm, which allows them to clearly speak their minds. Imagine blurting out everything you think and how ridiculously entertaining that would be. This is one of the primary reasons why the characters in Tonari are so lovable and funny.

Brains Base did a spectacular job in producing this anime. The art is marvelous in all respects. The scenery, the character designs, and the animations makes Tonari quite a relaxing spectacle. The character designs are flawless. My heart often skips a beat when I see the characters blush or smile. It's so cute and heart-warming. Seriously. Who needs moe? The voice actors, particularly Haruka Tomatsu, did a masterful job in portraying their respective characters. The script flowed perfectly with the characters, and came off as incredibly natural.

This review is relatively short and to the point, because the goal is to spread the word about this show. For those of you who haven't done so, add Tonari to your plan-to-watch list! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a rom-com to this magnitude. Toradora! and School Rumble comes to mind, and ironically, the stories are awfully relatable."

I just woke up, so I'm definitely a bit fuzzy in my head. I'll keep thinking of some...

Oh, I could've sworn you had been up-to-date with Golden Time, lol. Well, I have enjoyed so much as I've seen, so I would recommend it to episode five, at least.

Seen Future Diary, I thought it was good. Definitely up my alley, although the protagonist was terrible, lol.

I've heard Steins;Gate mentioned plenty of times, and I like your description of it. Definitely putting that as #1 in the queue. Thanks.

As for Kamisama Hajimema****a, it just doesn't seem my type; the positive qualities don't seem all that positive to me, but I do thank you for the suggestion. (My Japanese is fairly poor - does it mean "Pleased to meet you, God"?)

I think I've seen the first two episodes of Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga ****a, and I thought they were hilarious! If I remember correctly, the reason I stopped watching it was because my main anime hub didn't host it, and the youtube (don't laugh at me) wasn't doing it for me.

I don't know if you have followed up on my suggestions for watching Non Non Biyori, but I really think you'd enjoy it. It's one of the calmest animes I've ever seen, quite hilarious, and one that will go as my all-time favorites because it's so unique and perfect.

Edit: didn't see your suggestion of My Little Monster. I watched that over the summer, and would recommend it to you. There were parts that I found hilarious - chickens will forever be more domesticated than dogs in my mind because of it. One problem I did have with the show is that their relationship seemed to regress. It started out seemingly fast-paced, but the female protagonist pretty much purposefully halted it for a while.

I've added it to my list, but I haven't gotten around to watching it. Still painfully pushing my way through Hyperdimension Lesbians. I just hate to leave a series unless it's absolute **** (see School Days) or if its storyline drags on for too long (see Naruto Shippuuden).

Also, just in case you didn't see it, I edited the previous post with another recommendation.

Yeah, I dislike animes that lasts for hundreds of episodes. I can still respect them, and can admit to enjoying its Pain Arc, if nothing else.

School Days...LOL

I'll be heading to bed. Looks like you'll be adding a few more suggestions, which I'm grateful for. If not, you've definitely got me to put Steins;Gate in the queue, and reminded me of two animes I really enjoyed.
