*sigh* I'll try to stay awake through it...

Ok, I watched Yosuga no Sora, and my god, it is an amazing series. I just need to rant a little because I'm actually annoyed at all the people that completely misunderstand the basic principles of this anime.

You see, people completely misinterpret what the story line is actually talking about, and just write it off as hentai. First of all, despite all the ECCHI elements in it, the story was still good. In fact, the nudity and very softcore sex in it actually adds to the storyline, and very rarely is put in as fan-service (the main exception is the Motoka-storyline that plays after the actual anime as some bonus content). It pains me when people write this off as hentai, because it isn't. Think about it this way, if a movie, say... Looper, has titties and sex in it, is it instantly a porno? No, of course not, because there is a storyline, and the sex is generally used to show a developing relationship. However, since this type of film technique has not been used in anime yet, it's simply written off as hentai. To put it simple, if you are coming to this series for some amazing fap material, get the **** out. First of all, for all the reasons above, and second of all, how about you get yo' *** on a real site and actually watch some real people you sick bastard (kidding, I don't really care what you watch).

This is an amazing and thought provoking series. If you want to watch this anime and see the true meaning behind it, you need to get rid of all the conventional thinking you have, and actually think about what makes sense and is logical as opposed to other people have accepted and you have simply conformed to.

Now, I'm not saying you apply the themes presented in this anime to everyday life, because even if your feelings are rebellious to what society finds acceptable, society doesn't find them acceptable. If your feeling is to set adorable, helpless kittens on fire, please don't set kittens on fire, because that's not using your head and thinking about what is logically morally correct.

Instead, I'm saying you get your primitive brain that has been corrupted by society (hyperbole, society is a good place) and be receptive to the themes presented in this anime. Open up your mind to these themes and really think deep about whether or not these negatively impact your life.

TL;DR **** you. Read what I wrote.

EDIT: After re-reading this, I'd just like to make one thing clear. I'm not referring specifically to incest in this rant. I want the message to be taken out of this rant is that you should think logically about things that society doesn't like. I'm saying that you are your own person, hop off the society bandwagon and start developing your own thoughts and opinions on those matters. If you think incest is disgusting, then good on you, because so do I, but I will be receptive and understanding to what other people think about it, but I will not let these opinions affect my opinions in anyway.

Heck, Sora could've been replaced with a pillow girlfriend, and the message would be the same. It's that you should form your own opinions, and not let the pressure from society stop doing what your heart desires, as long as you think it through and believe what's right.

Of course, this has gone incredibly off-topic from my original contention, but I just want everyone here to know that this is an incredibly under appreciated series, and people instantly call it trash because of incest and nudity and any other themes that would make those virgin basement dwellers (hyperbole) feel insecure and uncomfortable. It is just so annoying that I almost did not watch this series because of how bad this series is made out to be.

Also, watch this series if you have understood everything I have said here, because it's a damn beautiful series, and if it has caused me to think so deeply into this and made me willing to defend it so much, then it surely must be good. Just be willing to be mature, that's all.

Ok, seriously. Why am I watching this... I'd probably find it somewhat entertaining if I actually had played the video game.

Ok, I'm seriously confused with Hyperdimension Lesbians. It has the script and themes of a Saturday morning cartoon, but then you chuck in all those boob physics and ecchi shots, and finally lines like 'You little *****', 'I will **** you up' and 'Bar *****' all make it so confusing as to what the target audience is meant to be. I'm finding it hard for it to catch my intention because it just doesn't feel like this is intended for my level of maturity, BUT IT IS... Oh my god... My mind is so ****ed right now...

It's just so confusing that I find myself laughing and in tears of how much unintentional juxtaposition there is. AUUGH! Help me, please.

Ahahah, I probably shouldn't start it.

Anyway, fun fact. Noire, probably my favourite character of the bunch, has the same voice actor as, wait for it, MAKISE **********ING KURISU. Makise Kurisu is my favourite character of all time, OF ALL TIME, and to see more of her 'in a sense' makes me overjoyed for some reason.

Granted, I was actually a fan of Vert before finding out this news, but as soon as I discovered this, Vert was trailer trash in my eyes, NOIRE! NOIRE! NOIRE! NOIRE!

Still a pretty confusing series, but I can like the characters in a bad series right? RIGHT?
