Would have loved to apply myself, but I do not even have the time needed to stay up to date with the game. But as you mentioned this could be perfect for a student or something :)

You're basically already doing everything they ask for in a candidate, and if you earn some "$$$" from it, maybe The Wife will allow you to play more often, because it's for the job?
On top of that, you're already a trusted member, hence the Moderator position, and the fact that the hours aren't fixed it shouldn't change much of your daily schedule shenanigans you've got going on.

I'm not sure I'm the best candidate, though I appreciate your kind words. Yes, I do some of that stuff. I feel I hit the basic check marks on the requirements.

I have basic "knowledge" of Twitter and FB, but I don't use either, at least for personal use. I actually actively avoid them for personal use, lol.

I don't know HTML and am only monolingual XD, but am obviously comfortable with BB coding (as are you).

I don't think you need to know more languages than the English language, as that's practically the only language used on this website. There's the occasional other language such as French or German, or when Prism and Bernard get into another Brazilian convo, then the Brazilian language too.

Also, it said "BB-coder extraordinaire or html knowledge", meaning that you need to have 1 of the 2. If you have both, that'd probably be even better, but you already know BB-code very well, at least that what is used on the MOBAfire sites, and thus fulfill this point.

You only have to use Twitter and Facebook to maintain the MOBAfire, or SMITEfire in this case, page. No "personal" anything there.

So I don't know why you wouldn't be the "best" candidate. Obviously saying "best" may be a far stretch, you never know what other challengers may appear out of the tall grass, but from most if not all currently active members here on the site, I think you come closest to what they need.


And yes, I am comfortable with BB-code, to a point some even claimed I'm the Zeus of BB-coding.

Beside the remuneration topic, something I think is worth asking is how much time are we expected to work.
Is this a full time job, or only a few hours / week ?

Personaly, I would have been interested if it's only a few hours, but I would not spend all my free time for a second job.

I also think Bran would be a perfect candidate, but it's probably not in hid mind.

I would like to point out that the multi-lingual and html knowledge etc is in the "Pluses" category which just means it's a bonus but not required. :)

@Bullfrog323 it wouldn't be only a few hours a week probably, though I guess it depends on your definition of a "few". Since it is a contract position all that matters is that you fulfill your job requirements (keeping things up to date, coming up with events) so your hours will vary depending on the week. If the game has a lot of updates one week you will be spending more time than if there are no updates. If there are a lot of moderation issues one week you will spending more time than when everything is peaceful and quiet, etc. It would be nowhere near full time but it isn't as easy as I'm thinking you are looking for.

@Mowen Yeah, that's what I expected, but it cost nothing to ask.

This would probably require too much time for me, but as stated the in the post, it would be perfect for a student job.
