Your Favorite New God

What's your favorite of the past 5 god releases, and why?

Mine, if you can't tell from recent posts, is Ganesha. I've only played him 5 times so far, hahaha, but I'm 5 and 0 with him. His kit feels nice and balanced, and I absolutely love his ult...just feels very satisfying.

Artio is the one god I haven't unlocked yet...I'll play her once she's considered fairly balanced and her favor price drops back down to normal. I really want to like her...shapeshifting is awesome.

My vote is for Artio.

I know that right now she is a strong pick, but I think that has to with the "completeness" of her kit, and not necessarily the strength within it. Now, I'm not saying that her abilities aren't strong, but if you look deeper into it, Artio’s (arguably) best ability is Entangling Vines/ Ferocious Roar. It’s her Cripple and Stun. However, it has no power scaling at all, and won’t get “better”, other than the Buff to Defenses (which was nerfed in 4.15), and duration to Stun/AOE Cripple. Her base damage is not very strong out of the gate, and if you aren’t building for damage, it’s probably not going to be very impressive. It’s “good”, but if you’re caught out and can’t CC someone down, you might get overwhelmed pretty fast by serious Crit/Pen builds.

All-in-all, I feel very in-tune with her kit. She fits my Aggressive, Front-Liner playstyle to a T. I look forward to seeing how incoming balance changes impact her overall performance, but in the end, I will most likely be looking to Main her regardless of her status in the META.

Of those 5 gods, I'd choose Ganesha. He broke the Hindu hiatus, is a guardian and a has an awesome personality. Totally worth the wait.

Of the entire year?

Mine is Ganesha. I love him, his 1 that deals like 1/3 of a Mage Health when it reaches level 5, his silence, such a versatile and strong ability. I think the ultimate is really nice, deals good damage and the slow is powerful too, and sometimes the pillars body-block the hell out of people lol.

And they shouldn't have done the 3x whorshipers event this weekend, now I have Artio at mastery 7 and she's been out for 5 days (?) on Ps4 lol. I really like her as well, but the first times she's a bit tricky with all those abilities.

I agree with you, it was tough for me to do, but I refrained from playing Artio all weekend. Gave me a good opportunity to beef up my Skadi stats.

Yeah I was really undecided about what god to use in this occasion too, but I thought it would be cool to have the newest god at a high mastery after few days from its release, so I used Artio non-stop in these days :D

I don't play much guardian but I enjoy Artio. The shapeshifting is fun and she is really complete with her abilities. Just hope they don't nerf her to heck. Making her unplayable. I like certain aspects of all the ones listed. I just can't get fully into them though. Second would probably be Da Ji. Her burst can be fun and no god gets away with 1 hp anymore

Has to be Ganesha. A lot of damage and I don't have to worry about stealing kills. Btw my goal was to get him to rank 10 with no kills but if have 4 kills anyway. RIP the dream

Btw I got the most magical power obtainable ever in practice mode and his ult did 13600 damage. More than an execute even.

I'll have to say Da Ji mostly because I've put the most time into her and she's really fun to play, even if I don't do that well with her most of the time. Close second would be Cu Chulainn who I didn't think I'd like when he was revealed but really enjoyed after playing him on a whim. Cernunnos gets an honorary mention here cause although I haven't played him much, he is high on the list of hunters I wanna learn.
