You may also start with different items like:
If your first item (besides the boots) will be:
Standard build for most situations.
Replace Shoes of the Magi with
Ethereal Staff late game after you have bought
Elixir of Speed.
Tap each threat level to view Thoth’s threats
Items you can build to get POWER and enhance your damage
Items you can build in some specific situations that may bring to you and your team some useful stats for these specific scenarios.
Items you may consider if you are getting focused for some enemy/are not able to keep yourself alive.
Usually the relics you will have.
Standard stack build for Book of Thoth. I recommend you rush
Book of Thoth instead buy a blessing + t1 book.
Replace Shoes of Focus with
Soul Gem late game after you have bought
Elixir of Speed.
Warning: EXTREME late game and expensive build that can make you really hurt your enemy with a single combo for a price of bad early/mid game. Use wisely.
Recommended to counter giant lifesteals like Aboobies ( Anubis),
Freya or healers like
Ra, help...
Replace Shoes of the Magi with
Ethereal Staff late game after you have bought
Elixir of Speed.

And as a Ra fan, nope Ra is the better birdman by almost every category .Plus Thoth is just a servant of Ra. Sooo begone thoth :P :D
Great Guide nevertheless
Play with chibi thoth and you will change your opinion about"the better birdman"
Not sure I like non-mage's blessing starts on Thoth, although last couple of times I played him I did rush tier 2 book and start stacking book (as well as CDR > deso/divine > estaff builds).
Just need to execute some tests.
Saw Prettyprime building it on his stream as well.
But I'm gonna test both.
e.g. CDR > Deso > Estaff > obs shard/Reaver (either order) > soul gem (or whatever) > boots for Myrddin.
To be honest, if you did happen to cap CDR in your build at 40, I would make sure it's only with Deso, Chronos' and Myrddin because those items allow overcapping with their passives, but I don't recommend it. Generally not worth to get
Also next patch remember that
One last thing, please add
The best solution would be use this build (early rush of Divine to counter, e.g. Ra or mage healer):
Also add
Also an alternative to what I listed earlier, go CDR boots, Divine, deso, reaver, obs shard, tahuti if you didn't like the build order I listed.

You don't see more than 2 flat pen items picked up on him.
Also maybe in the notes for the second build, mention that you can get divine before deso if you're against Ra, Chang'e, Hel or Aphro in Mid. (or a mage rushing bancrofts/pythags).
One more thing, you really do not, ever, need
And by baby sit he meant watch me carry the match, right prism? :v
Ok, I had made this guide in haste and it had several mistakes. Now it's updated and good part of these mistakes were solved (including builds). BnI, RFnC and CL chapters will be added later. Thank you guys for your patience.Done!!!
The rest of the guide is fine, you have a lot of information

Well I updated the guide and build, it should be looking better now. Also the CDR start is specifically for those who wants CDR to spam abilities early game. If you want early pen to combo with his passive, then you should go into the "no stack" build path.
Then again, Thoth being stacking means even with higher cost makes sense to build early.
Chronos with 20-30% CDR is huge for gods that can spam, so that also makes sense.
Reaver 3rd makes a bit less sense, but not terrible to build 3rd. The passive really means it makes more sense later when all gods' health pools are higher (whether just by higher level, or by added health from items). That said, the 300 mana pool and the high power help balance that out a bit. But I'd also say, Myst, that I think Reaver 3rd is a bit early for my personal taste.
Rather than build Reaver 3rd, I'd probably just decide to revert to either Thoth for the mana pool, or Chronos' for the MP5.
K, gonna change it later
