These builds mainly focus on your damage.
Items like Rod of Tahuti are your main focus.
Rod of Tahuti is a very common item within the mage 'community', if you will.
Mages are your back-to-mid line characters that focus on damage with spells.
A great of example of a powerful mage would be: Anubis.
Anubis is a very confrontational character, taking into perspective of what a mage is like. Anubis' main combo would be his 2, 3, 1. Alternatives of this could be: 2, 3, 1, 4 or 3, 2, 1, 4. Possibilities with this god are endless. Many people on SMITE believe that Anubis is too overpowered and he is very unbalanced. I, however, disagree with this. Anubis is just like any other mage, apart from the fact his kit is a lot easier to get used to and is very pushy and risky to play against. If Anubis is overpowered then isn't Vamana, Loki, Nox, etc?
Anyways, moving on; Anubis needs damage, just like every mage. This is why you will often see items like Spear of Desolation and
Rod of Tahuti because they increase damage and Spear of Desolation increases how often we dish that damage out. Now, some mages (like Ao Kuang) are more movement speed and critical hits. Ao Kuang likes to do lots of damage in such a little time and perform his ult which allows him to instantly execute the enemy. However, to instantly execute this enemy, he needs to get them within a certain health threshold. This is where movement speed, critical hits and attack speed come into play. This is why gods have different play-styles, kits and builds.
The reason I gave Scylla these items was based on her ult. At late game, using my Titan Slayer build, you will be dishing out about 1.6-1.8k damage with your ultimate ability (4). Given the fact her ultimate will reset and allow you to continue using it if you kill an enemy, you need high damage that focuses on getting them down. Also, whilst focusing on getting her ultimate high, (obviously) her other abilities become insane too. For example, her ability, 'Crush', does almost 3/4 of 1,000 in magical damage.
Enjoy the build and read the how to play section (which is coming soon)!
Now. Obviously, this is a damage build and focuses on getting Scylla to dish out high damage and clear not just minions but the enemy gods. The items included in the build are Book of Thoth
Shoes of the Magi Warlock's Sash
Bancroft's Talon
Spear of Desolation and
Rod of Tahuti. These are all damage-based items, from personal opinion. This is why it is your standard mage build. However, not many people notice the passives which is the most important part of the build. I'll go in a linear fashion (items left to right), as if it were a list.
Book of Thoth: For up to 75 stacks, you gain 10 mana per stack. 5 stacks per enemy god kill and 1 stack for a minion kill. This means that if you were to gain all 75 stacks, you get an extra 750 mana.
Shoes of the Magi: No passive, just standard mage shoes.
Warlock's Sash: For up to 100 stacks, you gain +3 health and +0.6 magical power for each stack. 5 stacks per enemy god kill and 1 stack for a minion kill. That means that if you were to get all 100 stacks, you get an extra 300 health and 60 magical power.
Bancroft's Talon: For 'scaled missing health', you gain additional magical power and lifesteal. At 25%, you're magical power and lifesteal add-on is capped at +100 magical power and +20% lifesteal.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
