Introduction

Hi there my minions!
This is my absolutely first god guide and the reason I make one is that I really enjoy playing Ah Puch. I'm a big fan of Arenas, so that's the gamemode I'm playing the most. I also thought it lacked guides for Ah Puch, so I just went for it and here I am. Me and Ah Puch are still getting to know each other but maybe I will understand him better making this guide. I will keep you updated so...let's start, shall we?

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Things to love vs. Things to take into consideration

Things to love about Ah Puch

    Very ranged
    Regenerate mana and hp
    Can slow enemies
    Stun enemies that gets healed
    Great big scary ult for both defending and attacking

Things to take into consideration
    Squishy
    No escape skills
    Bad in close combat
    "Out of mana" is my most used line.

My arena items for Ah Puch

In the beginning you should take a close look to what enemies you're meeting and what gods you have on your team. If you know what you're dealing with it's much easier to adapt and buying the right items. Just buying the same items for all battles will give you a very unstable game play. You don't bring a sword to a gunfight.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Core items

Boots - Let this be the first thing you buy. The only thing you will be able to afford if you decide to buy actives. Which usually is a good idea.

Greater Purification - An active that will help you escape crowd control effects that will save your life many times. If there is an Ares on the enemy team, then always buy this. Always!

Aegis Pendant - I buy this for gods like Loki, Ao Kuang and Neith. Basically against gods that will surprise you and since Ah Puch is squishy it's good to have 2 seconds of invulnerability to react.

Shoes of Focus - Get these as soon as you have the money after getting actives, if you felt the need. You want the movement speed and the cooldown reduction.

Soul Reaver - Get this item after your shoes. It gives Ah Puch a great damage boost and you really gonna like that extra mana as well.

Chrono's Pendant - The cooldown reduction on this one is what you want. This item gives you the finishing of your 40% CDR that is the max you're allowed to have. Keep your minions exploding.

Gem of Isolation - Take this one if you have quick little buggers on the enemy team. It will help you slow them down so you can damage them even more. Lovely, right? You always get a nice health and mana boost.

Rod of Tahuti - You can take this one before if you rather boost your damage than slowing your enemies down. Then you just buy the Gem for the next item after this one.

Bancroft's Talon - I like this item for it's high damage and also gives you lifesteal that can help you a lot in the hot battles.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The Situationals

Divine Ruin - I like to pick this one if the enemy team has healing gods. Like Chang'e, Aphrodite and Hercules. It also gives you some mana and lifesteal that is yum. There's other items as well for nerfing the enemies healing but I think this one still gives Ah Puch things that will help him more than just nerfing enemies. Change this one with Gem of Isolation.

Obsidian Shard - Get this one if the enemy team have a lot of magical defense. It will help you take more damage and penetrate those tanks to the bones.

Magi's BlessingMagi's Blessing - This build is to begin with very low of defense and protection but I feel like Ah Puch usually don't need it too much. He is playing a lot in the background and don't need to be in the middle of war. Though, if the enemies are totally raping you and/or annoys you with crowd controls, this is the item for you. Change it with Gem of Isolation.

Book of Thoth - This item is very nice for a mana-eating god like Ah Puch. You will pretty much never run out of mana with this one. You will need to stack it though which can take some time and stacking is usually not very needed in arena and since the matches go pretty fast. It do boost your damage though. If you like it, you can change it with Soul Reaver

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Friends and Foes

The friends

Pretty much all tanks on your team are your friends. Now it may seem that you can't see all your teammates as friends. And you are correct. Sadly, very few teams I've been in, fights for the same goal. Mostly, you have these people obsessed with getting kills. They will do anything to get a kill. No matter how hopeless the situation, they will go for the kill.
Ah Puch has a great damage and that's what I take advantage off in an arena match. I use my skills to lower the enemy teams health as much as possible so all my bloodthirsty teammates can get their kills more easily. Sure, I get less money but as long as someone gets the kill, it's a score for the whole team.

Anyway, since Ah Puch is squishy it's good to keep it close to one of your sustainable teammates. Especially if the enemy team has lurking assassins all over the arena. Keep a safe distance from enemies. Ah puch is not good at close combat.

Be friendly. Don't be afraid of hitting your ult to save a friends life.

The Foes

Everyone is your foe pretty much. Stay away from your enemies as much as possible. It's not easy to chase someone so leave that for the hunters or assassins. Your skills don't run much faster than your enemies so try not to waste your minions on that.

If you're being chased, hit your Aegis Pendant and/or also try to throw your Undead Surge or Fleeting Breath close to yourself to hit enemies that are too close to you. You can always send Undead Surge in front of you and pick up the bodies as you run to get a little bit of health back.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Ah Puch's abilities

Hollow Ground - When using Undead Surge you send forward two decaying corpses and this passive skill makes it possible for you to get mana, health and CDR from walking over these corpses. Make good use of this.

Undead Surge - Ah Puch sends forward two corpses that explodes on the first thing they hit or when they reach max distance. After explosion they will collapse and stay on the spot for 45seconds unless you use your Corpse Explosion or walk over them with your passive.

Corpse Explosion - Using this skill on the decaying corpses on the ground makes them explodes and damages the nearby enemies tremendously. Don't use this skill unless you have corpses to explode.

Fleeting Breath - Throwing this charm on an enemy god or minion makes them take damage every second. If an enemy with this charm on them gets healed by it's teammates it will get stunned for 1 second.

Empty the Crypts - The biggest ult in the game, use it well.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Great skill combination

That's it folks

For now, this is what I have to offer. Take it or leave it.
I will try to keep this guide updated and fill it up as soon as I learn new things and come up with new problems and solutions. Have fun out there, smiting all the gods.
