Introdution

This build aims to unleash Kali late potential. It based on default Kali's property: weak at early game and one of the strongest assasins in late.

Your first priority to do Golden Blade - this item let us to get a crazy farm speed, additional effectivness at the gank, crazy lane push speed for a mid game, and penta kill potential at the late!

I think is jungle starters are doubtful at the moment, and by my tests - the builds in which you sell your starter will still be in the meta.

So in this build I'll give u some alternatives)

Items Description


Sadly, it's only jungler starter which may be useful in late. Base build basics in that item, so, it really great stats, buff your base attacks, and giving the biggest damage per hit. But you sacrifice some attack speed or penetration.

If u going to sell starter at late:



It's second part of splash, from my previous build. It gives u 2.48 of attack speed. In case your opponent not very armored and won't have antiheal, you would be easily crushing them in synergy of attack speed and vampiric from Asi.

Buy after Ninja Tabi.




For additional Penetration. In main build you have some lack of it: only 15 flat, and 10% from shuriken's passive.

Buy after Deathbringer.




If you need an anti-heal change the Wind Demon by that.

Better to buy as soon as u can, for example, 3rd.




It's alternative to alternative. If u wanna a bit more penetraion, and don't wanna Odysseus' Bow or The Executioner. It's choice for you.


About this option u can read below.

Gameplay

Remember that Kali weak at early game, but the longer the stronger we are?
So you need to remember about it: till 5 lvl u won't gank!

Let's mark some stages.



Start

Just default jungle start, till we get 5th lvl.

Early game

After you gane your Golden Blade, 5th lvl and till laning phase would finish - its time for your intensive ganks. Farm forest, when your ulti is ready - do fast hit&run for your mates, and go back.

Middle game

When teams go out from lanes, doing teamfight's, splitpushing, or fight for the GF&FG, it's time for your intensive farm. Our goal: to be the top GPM, and first who came in late: farm camps, lanes, splitpush, and try not to stay long in teamfight.

Late game

Now you have all build and it's time to maximum aggressively teamfight with you in a frontlane! GGHL!

Relics


Like an assasin it is your main relic for caughting your victims.


Default when there is a risk of strong spells.


If your enemies have dangerous control spells, and you are doubt at your skill, you may pick it first. Or build it second in case of dangerous mass-control spells like No Escape.


Will help scare off the enemy if you fell like berserker.

Bracer of undoing
Very situational item, if you don't used to it, better not use.

Qin Sais and No splash

After disputes about Qin Sais, i did some calculations based on calculations of Devampi (thank him for that). I have tested 5 combinations on tiny Chaak (2350hp, 113 phys. protection) and tank Chaak (3450hp, 246 phys. protection). The criteria were simple: damage per hit, and time of kill.

So, first of all my Splash build:

Tiny Chaak: 178 damage per starter, 386/193/193 (kali basic attack chain).
Death time: 2.90s. DPS: 810.

Tank Chaak: 143 per starter, 235/128/128.
Death time: 8.42s. DPS: 409.

Devampi's example build:

Tiny Chaak: 187 damage per starter, 268/168/168 till 2nd chain's series (stacked executioner).
Death time: 3.30s. DPS: 712.

Tank Chaak: 169 per starter, 214/142/142 till 2nd chain's series.
Death time: 7.12s. DPS: 484.

Change Golden Blade by Qin's Sais:

Tiny Chaak: 178 damage per starter, 448/245/245.
Death time: 2.23s. DPS: 1053.

Tank Chaak: 156 per starter, 281/177/177.
Death time: 5.20s. DPS: 663.

Change Golden Blade by The Executioner:

Tiny Chaak: 178 damage per starter, 463/231/231 till 2nd chain's series.
Death time: 2.15s. DPS: 1093.

Tank Chaak: 156 per starter, 300/150/150 till 2nd chain's series.
Death time: 5.84s. DPS: 590.

Change Golden Blade and starter by both Qin's Sais and The Executioner:

Tiny Chaak: 450/262/262 till 2nd chain's series.
Death time: 2.30s. DPS: 1021.

Tank Chaak: 347/204/204 till 2nd chain's series.
Death time: 4.90s. DPS: 704.

So what we have: looks like both, my and Devampi's build are concede. the most damage to solo target for both sustains build combine Qin's Sais, The Executioner and even crit. But, what the difference between 3rd, 4th and 5th builds? I expected to be replaced starter, in my Splash build, exception The Executioner, but it's a SPLASH build. Moreover, it's literally LATE build, of course. That's mean, the DPS progression in midgame doesn't care us, and damage which we will do gonna be will be in more than one enemy.
In conclusion: both me and commentators are judged wrong - as Qin's Sais, as Crit are effective for Kali (in 90% crit chance of course). So I made the second option NO SPLASH build, where we was saw the greatest solo target DPS. Qin's Sais in options, but I will clarify again that the essence of my assembly is described in its header)

I see a lot of people judging this build for having crit on Kali.

You are so wrong if you think it doesn't work, I've used this build every time I've played Kali this season and I've absolutely destroyed, 20+ kills almost every game.

I very much vouch for this build, I commend OP for making this.

As was stated in another comment below, it's not that a crit build "can't work" on a basic attack god to deal good damage, and that's not the argument being stated here. The reason why crits aren't as effective comparatively for some other basic attackers has to do with attack progression. If you're familiar with SMITE mechanics and how these work, and you know Kali's progression, you'll understand why people give the reason why going with a Qin's build is typically preferred over crits.

I've seen crit Thanatos, Hercules, Chaac, and others, and I've seen them "work well." This has more to do with favorable matchups, higher comparative skill level to the competition - or other reasons - than it is for being the most effective or preferred build. If you're running a smurf account, or are just highly skilled, you can make a variety of non-optimal things work.

Basically, TL;DR, there are very valid reasons for not going crit on Kali, but you can still do a lot of damage with this.

Dude, the comments below are literally "Crit on Kali, my eyes hurt" and "Crit Kali, oh dear" these people clearly don't think it works. And it seem to be trying to make OP feel bad for what is actually, a very good Kali build.

Kali's attack chain is 1.0x/0.5x/0.5x swing time and damage, which means that only her first attack will do 200% damage if she lands a crit; the other two attacks in her chsin will only do 150% damage versus 200%, which is why she's generally built for attack speed and not crit. As Kriega pointed out, qin's is very good on her because it speeds up her attacks, allowing her to do more damage. It's also great against tanks due to its passive.
