Intro

hey everyone! my first guide here so I'm not sure if this will be well presented or not. if the item order seems weird or doesn't make sense I'm sorry, keep reading and everything will be explained.
so let's get down to it

Skills

go ahead and read them, I'm not going to explain them here :D :D :D

Starting

the boots
if you're going for basic attacks mainly, get the Warrior Tabi since it provides more Physical Power
on the other hand if you rely on the skills and make a good combo of 1 (Persistent Gust) and 3 (Agility) then the Ninja Tabi might be more usefull because of the mana it gives you
it's pretty much your choice, go with what you prefer

life-steal
in the begining having some life-steal is quite usefull since it helps you stay on the field and evolve faster while eating those minions
I like getting the Devourer's Gauntlet since it's really easy to build stacks for it and it pumps up your power quite well
Asi is also nice because it gives you Attack Speed and Physical Penetration

the best combinations, in my opinion, would be Warrior Tabi with Asi or Ninja Tabi with Devourer's Gauntlet

Make Them Run

at this point you want to push your enemies back and start gaining ground on the field

attack-speed
the Hastened Fatalis does wonders with that specially because of it's Passive, since you have no penalty on basic attacks (as long as you hit someone) you can pretty much chase them all the way to the tower while inflicting damage and dodging their attacks at the same time

criticals
your 2 (Explosive Bolts) has an increased chance of critical strikes so it seems only fare if you help out
the way I see it Rage is the best option for now in terms of critical hits since it already gives you 20% crit chance and with it's Passive I assure you after two shots with no crit just use 2 (Explosive Bolts) and at least two of those shots will crit
it's also the cheapest one and for now it will suffice

so with Hastened Fatalis and Rage you'll start scaring your enemies away

Let The Killing Begin

now the fun starts
get Malice and Deathbringer and you'll basically turn into a killing machine
the killing power of an Assassin with the attack range of a Hunter
you'll get 50 Physical Power from each one and their Passives are to die for
your critical hits will deal 40% more damage because of Deathbringer and after each crit you'll be dealing 75% more of your Power and Damage with each hit for 3s because of Malice

fire away!

Ending It All

at this point you're pretty pumped up on power and crits so... why not some more?
you should be blowing your enemies to smithereens easily now so go ahead and replace the Devourer's Gauntlet for the Bloodforge (it's Passive gets usefull now) as well as Rage for Wind Demon
simple reason
Bloodforge gives you 20 more Power than Devourer's Gauntlet at maximum stacks but not as much life-steal, 10% less, wich is fine because they won't get a chance to take a lot of life from you before their final breath and it's Passive compesates for the lack of life-steal
Wind Demon gives you more Power that Rage does and it also gives you Attack Speed and Movement Speed with each critical strike as Passive

this change, simply put, will make you kill everyone faster and more agressively

Relics

this is totally up to you, check out what everyone else is getting and get something that helps with your team work
personally I go with Sprint or Curse depending on the rest of my team, the enemy team and the type of game we're playing (Conquest, Joust...)
the second might be either Purification, Frenzy or Thorns, based on the same principles as the first one
your choice, do it wisely

Final Notes

you might be thinking 'oh, why would you get Devourer's Gauntlet and then change it for Bloodforge? Bloodforge is better' or 'why Rage and not straight away Wind Demon?'
the reasons I do the build this way:
1. the Passive of each one, Bloodforge and Devourer's Gauntlet, but mainly the price
2. I prefer Rage's Passive early in the game and Wind Demon later on
my opinions
of course if you want to do it some other way please do and let me know how it went in the comments
hope you enjoy this build and have fun with it
good game to all and all the best

and remember, never make eye contact while eating a banana

Hey there, fluffystupi! Welcome to SMITEfire, and congratulations on your first guide! That magical moment when you get to click that "Publish" button for the first time...

Anyways, I'm not here to write a poem about publishing your first guide, I'm here to give you feedback on your very first guide, so that you may improve it!

General information

Here, I'll be describing what you can add/change in terms of general information in your guide.
  • Skills - You should add a skills section. I know that you said: "You can just read it.", and while that is true, that's not the point of a guide. Players click a guide to learn how to build a God(ess), and/or how to play him/her. If you just let them go to other sources to find information about a God(ess), there'd be no point in clicking on your guide.
  • What do they do? - Describing the skills is a quick way for players to find out what a skill does. Even if they can read it somewhere else, you should add it. Describe the skills in your own words, so that should a player not understand the in-game skill description, for example, they can read your description which may help them better understand the ability.
  • When to level them? - The leveling sequence of the abilities is very important. An example would be: "Do you level Agility first for its CoolDown? Or do you level Persistent Gust first for the damage?
  • When/how to use & combos - Teaching the player when/how to use an ability can greatly improve their skill with a God(ess). In Jing Wei's case, an example would be: "Use Persistent Gust for Waveclear, and to poke your enemy. Combo it with Agility to increase your travelling distance.
  • Items - You should create a single, detailed chapter for your items, instead of separating them in different chapters like you did now. This will make it easier for readers to find the items, you'll save some space, and it'll make possible future editing easier.
  • Gameplay - A gameplay chapter is really useful for the (inexperienced) player. Here, you can describe things such as: "When do you enter the jungle as Jing Wei? When do you rotate? What would be the best moment to attack the Gold Fury or Fire Giant? When do we push lane?". All of these things can drastically improve a player's capabilities with playing a God(ess), especially in the case of Conquest.
  • Match-ups - Not many write about this, but it's a useful thing to write about. Here, you can describe what Jing Wei players should watch out for in their enemies. Examples would be: "What is the most dangerous (type of) enemy you could face as Jing Wei? What should you do when a Sylvanus pulls you into an Artemis trap?"

Items
  • Triple crit-item may not be good - Triple crit is not only very expensive (and you have Bloodforge with that as well), it's usually unneeded and a waste of an item slot. Most (basic attack) hunters can do enough with 2 crit items. This is especially the case with Jing Wei, since she already has a crit chance built into her Explosive Bolts. You should drop 1 crit item, freeing up an item slot for other, more beneficial items.
  • Penetration - You're lacking penetration. Without penetration, even your crits will feel like throwing spaghetti at an enemy. If that enemy happens to be a Geb as well, bye bye your damage. You definitely need penetration. If you drop one of the crit items, as I mentioned above, you have one slot free for a penetration item. My suggestion would be The Executioner.
  • Fatalis OK, but can be dropped - Jing Wei already has a built -in Fatalis effect. This will overlap with Hastened Fatalis, and some of Jing Wei's potential will be lost. While you can definitely keep Hastened Fatalis if you prefer, you should consider swapping it for a more useful item. That is, if you can use Agility and the Fatalis effect it provides correctly.
  • A word about Bloodforge - Don't get me wrong, I love the item as well, but we need to have a serious chat about this item. For one, it appears in every single build as a lifesteal option, even on God(esse)s it shouldn't be placed on. I can see a day coming where somebody adds Bloodforge to a mage build, even though that's not possible. Bloodforge is just SO expensive, it's almost as expensive as Deathbringer, which is I believe the most expensive Physical item. I would place Bloodforge as a "only if" item, and keep Devourer's Gauntlet or Asi instead. Only buy Bloodforge when you have a lot of cash laying around collecting dust.
  • Situationals & defense! - You should definitely add situational items and defense items. The best and most common example would be against healers. If the enemy has a healer, you should opt to build Brawler's Beat Stick (for Physical), Divine Ruin (for Magical), or Pestilence to counter them. If you're getting stun-locked every time, you should have an item that reduces Crowd Control effects on you, such as Spirit Robe for example. If you're facing a highly Physical/Magical (4+ Physical/Magical), think about building Breastplate of Valor or Bulwark of Hope/ Pestilence to deal with that, or something like Hide of the Urchin against a balanced comp, to avoid getting destroyed immediately by a good team.

That's all I have to say for now. Read through my comment carefully, and think about what I've written down here. In case you don't agree, or you have some doubt about an item/skill/etc..., feel free to reply down below with a (detailed) reply as to why you think what it is that you think.

Other than that, you should work on some BB-coding to make the guide a bit nicer to read, as now it's just text everywhere. For more info on BB-coding, look around the site, look at some other guides for some ideas. If need be, visit my BB-coding guide here, to help you.

Again, congratulations on your first guide, we hope you stick around and that you may create many, many more guides!

*suggests defense items on a hunter*

Yeah, there is really no reason to build a full defense item on a hunter. Shiefter's is okay and it's still a really weird pickup that shouldn't happen. it just drops your dps by 2 much to be effective. especially on a hunter like JW.

thanks mate!
just so you know I'm quite a noob myself xD I tried to make this as a build only for damage but somehow turned into a guide
I appreciate your comments and guide lines for the whole thing and I'll be sure to visit your BB-coding guide 'cause I don't even know what that is
the skills chapter is indeed a piece of utter sloth hehe
again thank you for the notes next time I write one of these I'll take them into account ;)
again as well I meant to make a build for damage only but got carried away with the writing and this is the result

thank you so much Zero and have a nice one and some nice games also
oh btw the whole Bloodforge argument is not really my thing, I don't like the item and only use it with this build basically at then end and if the killing rate justifies it hehe
