Introduction

Hi, this guide is brought to you by lestimics. I started playing Smite 1 on PC in 2014. I've been playing competitively since 2020 and have been a professional Smite player from 2021 to 2023. I've played on different teams like JustF6, Gilded Gladiators or Tartarus Titans.

You can check out the SmiteVOD YouTube channel where my recorded professional games are. I've peaked at 3500 MMR GrandMaster/Masters in Ranked Conquest on the PC platform every season since 2018. I've also done Smite Masters (LAN) 4 times in 2022, so I really think I have the knowledge to guide on the Solo/Jungle role in SMITE 2.

I hope you find this guide as a useful learning resource for playing Ravana as Solo/Jungle.

Here are my socials:

Abilities

Ravana's Abilities

Passive - Chain of Blows

When you hit basic attacks or abilities on an enemy add to Ravana's combo chain, each time his chain reaches 8 you gain a shield, movement speed and physical power. This may stack up to 3 times.

It's a very good passive skill, providing both defensive and offensive attributes.

Ability 1 - Prana Onslaught

Ravana throws a punch in front of him in a very small cone, dealing physical damage and slowing all enemies.

It's a very basic ability, but it's the main one for pushing and dealing damage, and it's also very annoying because it has a very low cooldown so you can spam it.

Ability 2 - Overhead Kick

Ravana send a shockwave forward to damage all enemies in a line, and become immune to damage and crowd control and increases your movement speed while using it.

This ability doesn't deal a lot of damage, but the immunity is incredibly good, it's like using Purification Beads and Aegis of Acceleration at the same time.

It is very important to use this ability at the right moment to evade as much damage and crowd control as possible.

Ability 3 - 10-Hand Shadow Fist

Ravana's fists fly forward, damaging and passing through minions and damaging and rooting the first god hit but will continue passing through to deal damage to the enemies behind. Ravana heals for each enemy hit.

This ability will help you push minions and get closer to the enemy god thanks to the root, allowing you to continue dealing damage with your abilities > Prana Onslaught. It also provides a small amount of health sustain.

Ultimate - Mystic Rush

Ravana leaps to a target location, dealing damage upon landing and applying a debuff to enemy gods that increases the damage they take from all sources. Additionally, Ravana gains mitigations and is immune while leaping.

It works like an engage that lets you jump over walls and can help you escape. It also has considerable range and will help you get closer to the enemy.

Example Combos:

To push the minions quickly you can try hitting the enemy god to gather the minions and push better with Prana Onslaught > 10-Hand Shadow Fist, plus you will gain a lot of shield by pushing and hitting the minions Chain of Blows to then fight the enemy god.

Combos to damage an enemy god: 10-Hand Shadow Fist to root and get closer > Prana Onslaught > hits basic attacks while he has slow, remember to use Overhead Kick to avoid crowd control or heavy damage. Your ultimate Mystic Rush is also very useful for chassing enemies or engage.

For teamfights: You have to play with your team by being the frontline, applying some root 10-Hand Shadow Fist so that your team contributes damage, and play riskily to bait the enemy, since it is very difficult for them to kill you thanks to your shields Chain of Blows, your immunity Overhead Kick and your ultimate that provides mitigations Mystic Rush.

I recommend playing with skills in instant casting, to gain those few tenths of a second that can mean the difference between winning or losing.

How to play Ravana Solo

Gameplay Start / Early Game
  • Start at the Fire Giant side in the lane. You have to start on the blue buff leveling up your Prana Onslaught doing it as fast as you can and then go to the lane to push the minions. If you don't lose any minions you will go up to level 2 when you manage to kill one more minion from the next wave of minions.

  • To push minion waves as quickly as possible, hit the enemy god with your basic attacks and try to hit the minions and the god with Prana Onslaught. This will push and poke quite a bit. Also, your basic attacks are very good for pushing minions. Ravana's early levels are very strong thanks to his passive Chain of Blows, so try to hit the enemy god as much as you can to put a lot of pressure on him or get a kill 10-Hand Shadow Fist to root and get closer > Prana Onslaught.

  • The following moves are push the lane and try to win the Totem (Totem gives gold for all the team and mana regeneration). From this point on you have to try to win the pressure of the lane to be able to kill the side camps and get more gold and experience. Keep in mind that when you reach level 3, you need to be careful because it's a good time for the enemy jungler to gank you, so use your free ward Bifrost Shard.

  • When you reach around level 5, minions will appear in the fire giant zone. It's important to kill them with your jungler because they give a lot of experience and gold, and they also give you permanent power. Although the enemy team will probably want to fight this too, so you have to be prepared for a small teamfight.

  • From this point it is repeating the same thing push minions > blue buff > Totem > harpy camps.

  • Remember to buy wards to avoid the ganks and try to comunicate to the jungle to invade blue buffs or try to kill the solo laner.

Mid Game:
  • At this point of the game, which is roughly between 8:00 and 18:00 minutes, you have to push the lanes as quickly as possible and trying to gain as much experience and gold as possible additionally, look for some mid lane rotations to gain an advantage for your team.

  • In general, to farm in the best way possible, you should try to push the minions as quickly as possible, and constantly be doing the gold and experience camp, the totem and the rocks in the fire giant area, also if you can pressure the enemy god to get some kills.

  • Good rotations for the mid lane are usually when the beacon spawns and when towers are being dived. Try to be ready when the beacon spawns in the middle, with full health and purchased, so that if there is a teamfight you can contribute the maximum. For this you have to play with your team 10-Hand Shadow Fist > Prana Onslaught. Remember to use Overhead Kick when you receive a lot of damage or CC, don't use it to poke because it does very little damage.

  • You can also make a good rotation towards the duo or mid lane when you see a teamfight. If you manage to win these teamfights, you can kill a Gold Fury or Pyromancer, which are very useful thanks to the gold and experience they provide and the advantages they offer.

  • If you use the teleporter from the base to the duo lane, you have to do the same play but trying to kill the carry or the support and gain the pressure to be able to do the Gold Fury.

  • You also need to keep farming your solo lane so you don't fall behind in experience and gold, only rotate at good times, don't force it.

Late Game:
  • At this point in the game your job is to be the frontline with the support as teamfights start around the fire giant at around minute 20:00.

  • You have to harass, poke and kill the enemy carry, mid and jungler as they are the most dangerous for your team.

  • To achieve this, you need to be grouped with your team and place as many wards as possible in the fire zone, since vision of the enemies is crucial for engaging and dealing damage much more easily. You have to play with your team, applying roots and slows to enemies 10-Hand Shadow Fist > Prana Onslaught, trying to focus more on the gods that deal the most damage. If you see a good opportunity to engage with your ultimate Mystic Rush, make sure your team follows up.

  • You can also tank the fire giant so the enemy team gets closer and then you can fight if you're sure you'll win the teamfight by doing this because you can get pocked by the fire giant.

  • The moment you have the fire giant buff, the sieges on the Phoenix begin. Here you have to play slowly with your team, poking the enemies and the Phoenix slowly with the help of your carry and mid. You can also go with your jungle to another Phoenix to create pressure and try to destroy the phoenix. It's also important to do Gold Fury because they can deactivate the phoenix, making them much easier to destroy and get the Pyromancer's bomb to destroy the phoenixes faster, or you can also throw the bombs at the doors that open at their base to destroy them.

  • If the enemy has the fire giant and it is your turn to defend the Phoenix, you have to be in a group with your team and defend under the Phoenix, being careful with the picks.

  • Constantly call for all information, when you engage try to be followed by your team, always be sure of your decision making.

  • Remember to wards all the zone on fire giant and when you are sieging you need wards too.

How to ward as Solo

White circles: Vision Ward
Green circles: Sentry Ward

Early/Mid Game

Here you can see the best spots to ward as a Sololaner.

These wards will help you to know where the enemy sololaner is moving, as well as if the jungler is trying to gank you.

High Pressure Game

These wards are when you have a lot of pressure in lane and you want to invade blue buffs and red buffs. Remember to call your team that you want to invade so they can help you.

Late Game

These wards are for fire giant teamfights. Remember that you can only have 2 wards active at the same time, so you will need help from your team to ward the entire area from the fire giant.

Siege/Defense Phoenix

These wards are very important when it comes to sieges and defending phoenixes. In this case, the wards are the same whether you defend or attack.
This wards are important because mages often cast abilities through walls, you will be able to react better to their abilities.
