Sooooooo if you're one of the people who used to regularly play Smite with me you've probably noticed that over the past two years my activity has decreased, and decreased, and decreased. Really it hit its peak towards the end of Season 2 and has dwindled since. A number of factors led to this; I began college which allowed me to socialize more outside of games; I grew very interested in the competitive smash bros scene and other games such as Overwatch which drew time away from Smite; I found myself unable to dedicate the long stretches of time necessary to complete Conquest matches (which have always been the heart of my playing Smite); and over time playing less and less, my interest in the meta, improving, and the game itself shrank.

Over the past 9 months or so I've more or less entirely played Smite with friends, and oftentimes would only even do that on weekends once my social obligations were finished. What this usually meant was playing Smite between 1:30-4 am in a drunken ha…

On my way to Birmingham, Alabama, to visit one of my company's new customers. Really, I'm going for a very specific reason that... Technically... Is unrelated to the actual business, but I'll get into that later. And no, it's not anything bad.

If you're going to spam VVT ("Thanks!") in a game, at least back it up with decent play and a legitimate reason for your indignation. Otherwise, I'm going to blog about how seriously rage-inducing your god-awful play is, and have no remorse in doing so.

Seriously...straight into the midst of the enemy team many, many times. Diving the tower to try to secure a kill (which you basically never got). Your VVT, which I have to assume was sarcastic, was apparently directed at us for not agreeing to drink the same punch you did. Sorry, my life goals don't include seeing how many deicides we can give the other team in a single match.

Then again, maybe your thanks was in appreciation for us 1) not completely losing it and reaching through the screen to strangle your scrawny neck, and 2) eventually carrying you to a victory you absolutely did not deserve.

So I recently have had a bit of a rough patch through life.

I don't wanna shed the details of this but basically I'm not so sure what I can do in the near future due to how things are right now.

There are a few ideas however, most involving streaming or video making though mostly towards streaming since that's the relative easier option of the two. Now I know I can't stream full-time and I know that I don't even have a decent amount of equipment to enable to me to do so I've got myself some time to grab equipment for it in case I do go down that road.

Another option is to go looking around for more jobs to see where I can find a decent place that pays well for me.

Just a quick update as well whilst I'm typing this, my Thoth guide isn't fully complete. I'm going to be adding the tips and tricks and matchups also along with a conclusion soon.

Now I know what you're thinking. " Zeus? What's wrong with him?"

Well it isn't really what's wrong with the god itself it's more along the lines of what I feel like whenever I play him. Now most of you guys may witness how Zeus is supposed to the major definition of burst mage. You stack the charges press 3 and then boom, all their health is gone.

However no matter how I build him it always seems like I never do enough damage. It could be the fact that I'm not building him right but I know for a fact that I tend to build him correctly as you would with any other mage. (You can think of the build, I ain't gonna go into detail with the build but for the sake of argument the average power at the end of the build is ~750) Now I don't know about you but with that amount of power you're probably expecting the Detonate Charge should do maybe 300+ damage but I'm getting barely 500 which isn't impressive if you're fighting a warrior or a tank. Then again most burst mages can reach it with ju…

Hello friends & randoms reading this. As you may know, I never do blogs or the like. This time, however, I am creating one, for this not very special moment in my SmiteFire "career", so to say, which is a... well, I guess you could call it my "Baby member achievement - Be an active SmiteFire member for 1 full year." I'm making this blog for this because of 2 reasons.

The first one is that... well, everyone does it, and spending 1 year with a community does something to a man.
The second is because if I didn't, and ThePerfectPrism would have found out that I didn't make this, he probably would be disappointed again. Just like that time, aka 4 months ago, when I didn't make a blog about my bday. Haven't been playing as much SMITE as much lately, due to various factors (still on Zelda, yes, but I've beaten all 4 divine beasts, so it's just a matter of time).

That said, got a nice night of SMITE-ing last night with newbiemj/bad_juju and timetomedicate/GOTZ. However, I just have to talk about 1 game in particular...

This was after GOTZ left for the night...newb and I figured this would be our last one (unless we lost horribly, at which point we'd HAVE to play another because you can't leave on a loss, amirite?).

Our Cupid chose first and locked in, so newb countered with Athena. Figured I should probably go Mage, and after just a bit of deliberation, chose Ra.

Our enemy team was a full party, and I had the lowest Smite.Guru Elo of the match. They looked like they had a decently balanced team.
