I do think a Qins should be in there though.
Firstly, I don't necessarily feel she needs Hand of the Gods. Weak3n uses it in this example, but while it's helpful for some extra speed, he's not using an optimal initial setup IMO. You can lay 3 webs before the start. Buy items quickly, drop the first web on the Jungle buff, then 2 at the nearby XP camp. Immediately back, get your mana back, and head to the buff. You should get there with a couple of seconds to spare. The 2 webs on the XP camp make it much easier to clear that camp alone, saving you the HoG and giving you more early sustain should you choose to engage.
Would say with the poster's build, if you do the GB / HK in the 1st and 2nd slots, then you would likely skip Tabi. IF you choose Tabi, you'd go with Warrior Tabi if later building Atalanta's Bow because you'll have plenty of AS throughout the build. Though, depending on the potential nerfs to Serrated Edge, you wouldn't need the MS from Tabi either.
I do agree Qin's should still be built. I think Serrated Edge is a very solid item for her, but with hearing about nerfs, wonder what those will be.
Her steroid is too brief to take strong advantage of Silverbranch Bow, and I don't think that's a strong item for her overall when she has so many other options.
Stone Cutting Sword should still be a consideration, even when building Ata + Serrated and considering the inefficiency of protection reduction -> % pen.
Altogether, all of the following items should be considered IMO: Golden Blade, Hastened Katana, Stone Cutting Sword, Serrated Edge, Atalanta's Bow, Qin's Sais, The Executioner, Bloodforge, Magi's Cloak, Mantle of Discord. In most cases, I probably wouldn't choose The Executioner at this point, and if you choose Serrated (depending on nerfs), I probably wouldn't also go Bloodforge.
*Edit* and thinking about it, I'd probably skip Atalanta's Bow when going Hastened Katana, due to the similarity in MS passive function. Instead of Ata, Berserker's makes sense.
Build example 1 (no Tabi, full damage): Assassin's Blessing, Golden Blade, Hastened Katana, Stone Cutting Sword, Serrated Edge, Qin's Sais + Berserker's Shield (whichever order). SCS can be skipped if preferred, opening up one more slot for a final item.
Build example 2 (Tabi, full damage): Assassin's Blessing, Golden Blade, Ninja Tabi, Stone Cutting Sword, Hastened Katana, Qin's Sais, Serrated Edge, replace Tabi w/ Berserker's Shield.
Build example 3 (slight bruiser): Assassin's Blessing, Golden Blade, Hastened Katana + Serrated Edge (whichever order), Qin's Sais + Berserker's Shield (whichever order), Mantle of Discord.
So I haven't checked the AS, howevermy bet is going to be depending on the nerfs that we are going to see quadruple katana starts and unless serrated gets nerfed for Arachne I expect it to be early in there as she can proc it so easily and if her web hit easily keep up. Therefore, expecting apart from preference: Golden Blade- Serrated Edge-stone cutting- Hastened Katana to be a possible order.
since she needs qin's we will see qin's stay in that 5th slot. Still interested in seeing berserker's as this will give her a good amount of pen. otherwise, Atlanta's will be the go to and then later sell GB for BF MoD or magi's. dunno how high er AA speed becomes with berserker but probably not high enough to justify silverbranch.
Firstly, that start is obviously for when the solo doesn't start blue. I know that's a popular start, but when they do the older start in lane, it makes more sense to me to do it my way, as the 2 webs on XP make it easy to get over to the blue after that quickly. I usually ask my solo where they're going to start.
You state "you don't have to recall as the assassin's blessing would return the mana" but if you note, I'm talking about recalling BEFORE the game starts, after laying down 3 webs. You can't get 3 webs out and recall if you run all the way to blue.
My bet is that they're going to nerf MS from Edge, dropping it from 10% down to 7%. Only 3% but that might make some prefer Katana. But yes, otherwise, Edge early is very possible.
You really think Atalanta's will still be in the build, even when you have HK? They have very similar passives and the Ata passive won't do much once you've already got HK.
Also, you did not get my comment right. I know you mean recalling before camp spawns to regain your mana, however, have you noticed in your example vid that Weaken goes from 150 mana to 250 after he finished speed buff? So why would you recall in the first place if the mana is going to be back the moment you finish speed and arrive at XP? (he did use 3 webs otherwise his mp5 would have returned him a higher start mana first web being placed at speed on the way to blue).
Also, most solos will start blue if they notice the webs. I think with the 1 minion Arachne's spiderlings will even clear it better as they aggro the big minion immediately when midseason hits.
If solo doesn't start it you go speed into blue and will arrive reasonably on time (before they despawn) to finish it. Then the HoG will provide you that small tempo advantage. Also with the camps becoming tankier I do fear not getting HoG even if you put 2 webs on the XP will slow you down (aka lose momentum) over a HoG using jungle. Take your weaken video as an example, he spends 8-9 seconds at lvl 3 clearing his opponents camp. So at lvl 1 with 2 webs it will probably be maybe a second shorter (I expect around 7-8 sec). With HoG it drops down to 3-4 seconds. That is a pretty huge sacrifice in momentum.
It could happen that that becomes more optimal so that the jungle can use his HoG to secure/clear red easy, but I dunno as Arachne's high early momentum is able to provide a lot of mid pressure (or free mid camp).
I will say that I've dropped spiders on blue before and people haven't gone to start it, and right now the 2 webs aren't enough to clear. So in those cases, it becomes a complete waste.
Will have to see how it goes when mid patch hits.
I'm just going to say I still like my start (when Solo doesn't start Mana), and while early pressure is a thing, I don't mind having a solid start option that provides you with 2 more potions. I don't play at a high enough level that it probably matters all that much anyway.
The biggest issue I can think could happen would be that these spirits should deal more damage than the average minion, so they could quickly kill the spiderlings if they're left to their lonesome. Just thoughts, though, no clue how it really will be.
