Is it possible That kuku can be a jungler? I mean he lacks mobility but his ultimate is perfect for instantly bursting down unexpecting squishies.

Not really no. His ult is also hard to setup by himself, even if it has burst.

I'd say no because his camp clear may not be the best. Sure you can ult like you mentioned, but you don't have to be the jungler to do that.

his clear wouldn't be good enough till later. mostly because mage basics are quite bad

Can you add some alternate builds here, using the other items you've listed?

Kriega1 (143) | October 23, 2018 12:57am
There isn’t a need as the build I gave is pretty much the core build unless the enemy team has no tanks. Most games are just the build I listed with maybe an altered build order, e.g getting book of the dead third instead of polynomicon.

Well alright. Any tips on landing that Zephyr? Trying to get good with instant cast.
How's this for a build against full squishy comps? Arena/Clash/Non Conquest

Book of Thoth
Shoes of the Magi
Polynomicon
Spear of Desolation
Divine Ruin
Soul Reaver

Note: I'm not saying I dislike your build. I just want to try different play styles. Please don't execute me.

Added levelling order.

Looks good overall, of course, though with only Obsidian Shard in your example build, I think you'd probably prefer to go Shoes of the Magi for just a bit more pen...Shard against squishies at level 20 is only like 7-8 pen. I know you also don't get any CDR in that example build, so I guess it's a toss-up.

Actually, with you providing a whole other build in your notes, why don't you just list that one as well? Call your main build an overall/balanced build, and call the other one a Whirlwind focused build?

With kukulkan’s passive and High magical power you don’t really need flat pen in your build to deal with squishies. Focus Shoes works nice for his passive too. Feel free to try with and without magi/focus shoes. Also the second build I only mentioned not listed since it was a build I saw a master’s player do well with in a match, and it worked quite well for him, but I think the burst one is better.

I was just thinking any further pen would be helpful. You've got added magical damage from Polynomicon and Soul Reaver, both of which are great and I can agree will still be effective due to the overwhelming power Kuk will have...but even those damage sources will be mitigated, hence a bit of added flat pen being functional in getting more out of all damage sources/types.

And although Obsidian Shard would demolish protections from tanks, you're not going to 100-0 said tanks. Fighting them would be more of a war of attrition...so I think my preference there would still be to get Spear of the Magus. The higher flat pen equivalence will be more effective for all damage types against squishies, and will still be functional against tanks (not as functional, but again, you'll likely get stacks due to Whirlwind, and just keep chipping away at them). And whenever you DO get WW on the squishies, it'll allow you to do true damage if they haven't built any prots.

I could then see keeping Shoes of Focus for the little bit of CDR (and mana) it provides, and just switching Shard for SotM. I guess that would be my preference, but will restate I'm sure yours works great.

But the flat pen makes him hit like a fire truck
