Welcome to my guide for Hou Yi, The Defender of Earth
My name is YourOnlySavior. Hello everyone, this is my FIRST SmiteFire Guide, I really hope you enjoy it. On SmiteFire I intend to update and fix anything you or I need to.

Furthermore, let's get this Hou Yi Guide Started!

Item 1

Transcendence Is the best choice because Hou Yi is very mana hungry, and he is a late game shredder and that will just improve that even more.

Item 2
Warrior Tabi is the better choice rather than Ninja Tabi because you'll have enought attack speed , and the power and movement is very benefical to Hou Yi.

Item 3
Asi is a very 1v1 oriented item it greatly increases your DPS and the penetration, lifesteal, and attack speed is very good for a 1,780 price THATS SO GOOD.

Item 4
Qin's Sais Is a very reliable item increasing power and attack speeed. It is a good item against high HP God's and Bruisers.

Item 5
The Executioner Is a MUCH NEEDED Item on Hou Yi Because Hou Yi is a PROTECTION SHREDDER NOT CRIT Hunter so The Executioner will increase that x420

Item 6
Titan's Bane Is a MUST-HAVE on Hou Yi so to wreck Late-Game and Houy Yi has built in penetration with his Mark of the Golden Crow.

Item 5 ALTERNATIVE
Hastened Fatalis Is a Very good Item on Hou Yi
because of his slow Attack Speed but you have to replace The Executioner.

  • Works Well With Certain Supports
  • Very Mechanical God

Hou Yi is an amazing ADC, hard to use, but one of those high risk high reward gods. A hard god to master but when successful, they'll be trembling. HAVE FUN AND ALWAYS RECK!!!!!!!!! 1) Chang'e is on the Moon, she's not a Moon.

2) ya don't build The Executioner and Titan's Bane in the game build. There Are enough penetration vids that explain why that is not beneficial.

I will keep reading and edit this accordingally.

Edit: sorry, but you may want to revise on this.

wrath is an absolutely terrible option on any adc, since you have to get close to apply the stun.

Ichaival is an item that's only good for the early game. yet you don't mention the swap.

you have 3 aura items, which you describe as "boxing items" no, they are not. you don't need them.

in the skills section, you literally just copy pasted their description, you are supposed to explain their uses.

Hou Yi does not struggle early on, like, at all. he's a hunter that will want to box early. his lack of a steroid does not make him weak early on, in fact, it harms his late game, not early.

Hou Yi is not hard, you don't need to learn how to bounce Ricochet, all you need to learn is how to box properly. that is all.

"Just marking them" won't do ****. of course, it will put some space, but you really do need it to box, and if your just throwing that at the enemy just so you could put some space, you lost 3 seconds of having Mark of the Golden Crow on the enemy target.

"I don't need to explain much about late game" Teamfights? Positioning? When to go for objectives?, the list goes on and on.

this is either super lazy, or you just do not know enough about Hou Yi's kit. -1 for now, iil be waiting till you fix it (4/10)

The problem is I don't play Hou Yi as much as I used to, it's between quiting this guide or editing a **** ton, but I'll try to make it as best as I can

Don't be that harsh on yourself, i remember thinking that chronos is a burst mage mainly focused on abilities lmao, you can try to edit, and if you feel your not comfortable enough with Hou Yi just try to make a guide on a god that you feel more comfortable with.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
