Hades Lore/story
Eldest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, Hades was swallowed by his father as an infant along with five other siblings. Zeus, the youngest brother, escaped this fate and freed them once he'd grown strong enough to battle Cronus. Together, the six siblings defeated the Titans and banished them to the dark realm of Tartarus. Now the reigning Gods, Seus, Poseidon, and Hades drew lots for dominion. Hades drew the Underworld.

Of the few that have entered the Underworld and come back, all speak dismally of the place, never wishing to return. Yet Hades, himself, rarely leaves the subterranean realm, constantly seeking ways to grow the numbers of the dead.

When he desired a wife, Hades captured the radiant Persephone, daughter of the Goddess Demeter. Concealed in the Underworld, none could reach her, so Demeter cursed the land with great famine. The other Gods pleaded with her to end it lest she destroy mankind, but she would not relent until her daughter was returned. Hades finally let Persephone leave, though not before feeding her pomegranate seeds. Having consumed the fruit, she was required to return to her husband once per year to eat of the seeds again. This, it said, is a time of mourning and the cause of winter.

While many fear death and view it as evil, in truth, Hades endeavors only to keep balance. He is stern but fair. As God of the Dead and the Underworld, he views his authority on this matter absolute, forbidding anyone to leave his realm and growing wrathful when disobeyed or when someone tries to cheat death or steal from him.

I would change Sovereignty by the Breastplate of Valor to have extra CDR but otherwise I agree it's a good tank build.
Also, it's super important to talk about the Shield of the Underworld as a mandatory active; you should buy it as soon as you have the Hide of the Urchin and want to initiate fights with your ultimate combo.

In addition, you should probably describe against which gods Hades does good or bad. For instance, he'll be pretty efficient against most assassins, but he'll have a lot of troubles against other guardians. I've been screwed several times by players with a full tank Geb.

I think it's interesting to point out that Lotus Crown is pretty frecking viable on Hades, since you'll have extra protections, and you can do Shroud of Darkness -> Devour Souls -> Pillar of Agony and have extra prot.

^and another active, actually. Also, I'm not sure which direction you're trying to build in, since Bancroft's Talon, Polynomicon, and Obsidian Shard are aggressive while Spirit Robe and Combat Blink are defensive (you also don't need to spend 900 gold on Combat Blink when Death From Below does basically the same thing with a little windup). In addition, Polynomicon can't be fully utilized since you don't have full cooldown to spam your abilities. Hades excels when built as a tanky frontliner, which is why my build looks more like:
Shoes of the Magi (now the best shoes for mages in the game due to their penetration), Warlock's Sash (which can be fully utilized due to Hades's excellent farming), Hide of the Urchin, Spirit Robe, Pythagorem's Piece, Ethereal Staff.

Just a few tips from someone who enjoys Hades.
