Introduction

Hi, I'm Commanderdrag and this is my first guide. I decided to start simple. This build was made by the wonderful BestLokiNA, he helped me become a better Loki player and I hope he helps you too.

Pros and Cons

Pros

-high damage
-Really strong late game
-good initiate and escape with Vanish and Assassinate

Cons

-squishy
-only real escape (jump, dash etc.) is Assassinate
-Doesn't bring much to team fights

Skills

Jungling

When jungling Decoy is not as improtant as in a lane, its main job is to keep the creeps off you and give the ability to do extra damage with Behind You!. You want to max Aimed Strike first because of the large amount of power it provides, giving you the ability to one shot the big creep and be a threat in mid game ganks.

Solo/1v1's
When jungling you only need to clear 2 or 3 minions at a time, but when you're in lane you've got whole waves to take care of. Maxing Decoy first is a way to group all the minions and get the whole lane. When placing your Decoy remember to put it on the archers because the melee minions walk within range of it, instead of if you put it on the melee minions the archers will shoot at it from out of range.

Items

Starting Items

Starting with Morning Star in jungle might not give you the survivability of Bumba's Mask, but helps you rush Transcendence the most damaging item in the game. Then going for Wrath of the Gods helps make up for the clear you lack without Bumba's Mask. Lastly grabbing 2 Healing Potions and 3 Mana Potions will help with surviving in the jungle or solo.

Core

Having Warrior Tabi will help you with the large amount of power. NEVER go Ninja Tabi, Loki is meant to 1 shot, not shred.
Transcendence is the most powerful item in the game, getting it early by starting with Morning Star will help ensure more stacks earlier. An added bonus it the mana, it helps you spam your Vanish and Aimed Strike for more kills.
Jotunn's Wrath is our first step towards maxing cool down. it give a good amount of power with mana to get even power from Transcendence.
Titan's Bane gives good penetration on your auto-attacks (which is your burst, in case you didn't notice) and power. it is very useful against anyone building physical defense, ripping right through it.
Hydra's Lament has a great passive for bettering your burst, just used Aimed Strike get more power, oh well here's some more. The 15% cool down reduction will cap our cool downs and ensure many ults, and 50 physical power to do more damage.
Deathbringer is the preferred last item in this build, giving you a hunk of physical power and a little crit chance, but the real reason to get it is the passive: Critical Damage is Increased by 50%. This means all of your back stabs do 70%Mmore damage.

Last Item Choice

The object of the build is to one shot people The only time you will need Qin's Sais is if they have a lot of health on their team. Because of the recent nerf I highly recommend getting Deathbringer over Qin's Sais.

Backdoor Build

Introduced in season two was The Crusher, an item build for ripping through towers and phoenixes. You could use this build In either Conquest or 1v1's, if using it in conquest I would recommend using it in the solo lane instead of jungle since you have direct access to towers. Girdle of Inner Power is recommended as an active because of its power when backdooring, hugely increasing your power. Since one active slot is filled with Girdle of Inner Power I would not recommend starting with Hand of the Gods since it leaves you with no active slot for an escape. In 1v1's I still recommend the 1v1 build over this one, until further testing has been conducted. If you feel that you need to kill enemies more than take towers (maybe if there are 2 hyper carries on your team) then by all means go the traditional route.

1v1's

When in 1v1's you have to play a little different. begin by getting Heartseeker early to ensure stacks hang out under your tower farming whole lanes with Decoy. Just farm it up, clear buffs, and get your items. wait until your fully stacked on both Heartseeker and Transcendence, then back door. Go through the jungle and come up behind the tower place Decoy to avoid shots for a bit, pop girdle use Vanish and Aimed Strike for hydra's passive and shred tower. If the enemy comes toward you Assassinate out, if not just use Vanish to run away through the side jungle. Rinse and Repeat

Game Play

As Loki you want to one shot people, so what do you do?

Step 1: Early Game

As Loki your early game is Awful. Just farm and don't gank often. Only gank when a teammate is there to help and you are sure you can get a kill

Step 2: focus Squishys

Easy thing to just don't try to kill tanks you will die.

Step 3: use Assassinate

Assassinate is your main initiation, it does a hefty amount of damage, stuns the enemy, and puts you on their back so you can get extra damage form Behind You!.

Step 4: Late Game

Late game you are a killing machine. with capped cool down you will be Assassinateing all day. the steps to killing are followed: use Vanish, Aimed Strike, and then use Assassinate, finally finishing them off with an Auto Attack, if you leave them at 2 health, don't worry about it your DoT from Vanish will kill them.
