Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

- Not sure why
Ishtar needs so much CDR...Malicious upgrade is fine but Jotunn's feels out of place.
- Double-stacking Trans and Devo's? For what? She doesn't need mana.
- While there is some flat pen, you're lacking in any % pen. If you're going crit, why aren't you getting Exe or Dom?
- Why is a stacking crit item built last???
Confusing build that is unfortunately not recommended in its current state.also you gain 10 phy pen on transcendence as it lvls, the mana is needed to stay in the fight just a lil longer CDR works wonders for Ishtar its a overall dmg build, even those 2 crit items stack or not works just fine Shreds through guardians effortlessly but as i said before, give it a try.
I understand building. I understand building ANY physical power, AS, crit is going to do some damage. But there's also the understanding about how to maximize damage based on getting the optimal items. It's like you're driving a car...all cars will get you where you're going, but it's slightly like you're driving a Porsche GT3-RS but you put a Honda Civic motor in it.
Look, this isn't a comment meant to put an individual down. I'm trying to advise of some issues with the build based on general build understanding. You can take or leave the advice, but I'm always willing to go more in depth with explanations if requested.
- So right now you have 2 stacking items (Devo's and Trans). While it's generally okay to have stacking items in Arena, and you'll eventually have them stacked, these are items that are usually used more in Conquest than teamfight modes. If possible, I suggest avoiding them in Arena, but if you choose one, you should choose
Devourer's Gauntlet.
- Let's break down your item features. You have 2 items that typically focus on abilities (Trans and Jotunn's), with slight mention to Malicious as providing some ability support due to the glyph passive, though the base item is still mainly a basic attack focus. You have 4 items that are mainly used by basic attackers (Cowl, Devo's, Deathbringer, Rage). So you're sort of split between two offensive types, without maximizing the effectiveness of either.
Ishtar, you should be looking to build more AS items.
Spectral Armor to counter your crit damaage, will be able to tank your damage output pretty well. So you should be considering
Dominance,
The Executioner, etc.
- Considering all of this, here are some potential recommendations:
Asi. You'll lose out on some flat pen, but you'll gain lifesteal and immediately full stats due to not having to stack.
Chalice of Healing...I think it's underrated here. In Arena, it's pretty cheap, just pop it before you start fighting for some decent sustain in a fight.
Fail-Not. It provides decent crit chance, 20% CDR, and 10% pen, which you've been lacking. Combine that with
Demon Blade (which will give you AS, crit chance, and more % pen once you crit) and
Malicious Deathbringer and you have the same amount of CDR as your original build while also gaining some AS and mostly solving your lack of % pen.
A full build might look like this:You have 5 items that lack attack speed, and AS supports higher basic attack DPS. If you're playing an ADC with great function in basic attacks like
At full stacks of Trans and Devo's + Jotunn's, you actually have really good flat pen (35), but you also have 0 % pen. You'll deal great damage against squishy gods that don't build protections, but any god that builds any decent amount of protections, and especially if they build
- If you insist on having lifesteal, instead of Devo's, consider
- If you're willing to pass on lifesteal, you can always consider grabbing
- Instead of Rage + DB, try a 3x crit combo. Remember, you shouldn't be building Rage last due to the need to stack, and it doesn't have AS. In this case, I'll compromise by providing you with an item that provides CDR, while still supporting crit. That item is
What that build means for you is: no requirement for stacking, same CDR, -15 flat pen, -10% crit chance (not too bad), +40% pen on basic attacks w/ Demon passive, and going from 1 to 4 AS items to much better support your DPS.
