Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

I get what you're trying to do here, but some of these items just don't fit well with the concept of a support role. And by Support, I'm assuming you mean Conquest, but if not, please clarify.
Celestial Legion Helm as a first item is typically not preferred. It brings a bit of power for your own poke, and is great for physical burst protection, but you're not really guaranteed to face mostly physical damage. Your duo ADC enemy might be magical, and even then, this isn't a support item. You're not looking to get hit. You have ranged abilities, and aren't directly looking to tank.
Sovereignty is better for the protection aura it provides to your teammate...but if you are rushing a protection item, your better bet might be
Breastplate of Valor for the CDR, since your heals are so powerful.
- However...your first item as a Support mage should be movement speed. You get some in
Kiss when linked up, but it's only 4%, and you won't level it further until late. And even with your choice, I'd only get
Reinforced Shoes if we were facing heavy pressure. Again, you're not looking to really tank damage. You're looking to provide support in a non-tank way, with heals, invulnerability, a stun and teammate damage boost, etc. You can even deal damage from extremely far, with the linked
Back Off!. Your better shoes options, depending on how aggressive you are, will either be
Shoes of Focus or
Shoes of the Magi.
Book of Thoth is not a good item in a support role. The main benefit of the item would be endless mana, which I'm sure she'd appreciate, but you get stacks by killing minions. That's NOT YOUR JOB. You want to give those to your teammates. Please don't take their farm.
- Lotus Crown is potentially...okay...but not a great item for Aphro. It's better on gods that can heal more than just yourself and one teammate, so the passive can be applied to a larger number of people...gods like
Hel,
Chang'e,
Terra, or
Ra come to mind. If you want utility based on healing function, then your better bet is probably
Rod of Asclepius, which gives her the ability to take a bit more damage, extra movespeed (she's often focused so this will help her positioning), and a nice boost to the healing she does provide. You do list this as an optional 6th, but I feel this should be purchased perhaps mid-game.
Book of the Dead DOES go well with
Book of Thoth, but I think I've provided enough reason not to get Thoth. So don't get this either. The shield is nice and could save your life, but so could a more dedicated protection item, such as
Mantle of Discord or
Spirit Robe, which also provide CDR, which you might want. These are options, but they're pretty functional.
- Final item listing (which shouldn't be final item because you shouldn't get
Celestial Legion Helm or Thoth or BotD) probably shouldn't include
Bulwark of Hope. If you need magical protection, you might be better served with more utility, e.g. something like
Genji's Guard, or again, dual protections. If you REALLY need it because there are 3 magical gods, you're getting focused all the time...okay. It's an option then.
- Even in that support role, you might still want a bit of damage, especially to support teammates. To provide decent damage of your own,
Spear of the Magus can be considered situationally. Otherwise, you might just look to support the team with an aura, of which
Pythagorem's Piece is a functional one.
Anyway, that's my personal feedback of the build direction I would take. You may find it helpful, or you may not agree with it, but I honestly can't support a Support build that buildsIF you ARE looking to tank, then for physical protection,
