Introduction

Before you comment saying a ymir in mid lane is not viable (i hear this alot) just try it.

Ymir is one of the easiest gods to play, (if you understand the extreme basics of ymir go to next paragraph) he has the very nice cone stun that can do anywhere between 200-300 dmg easy, and then his two which can easily do 600+ damage while slowing them so that you can use your passive ability which allows you to do extra damage with your basic attacks.

Ymir is GREAT for team fights and initiating. Early game his basic Glacial Strike scaling is amazing, plus the slow allowing you to get in a couple extra super-powered basic attacks are nice.

With his health he is a very easy god to build damage on while staying tanky. inevitably when it comes to team fights you will have 4 gods dealing damage and 2 gods tanking.

He has CC up the yang with a slow, from his Glacial Strike and his Shards of Ice as well as a stun from his Frost Breath, and you cant forgot his path blocking Ice wall you should have no problem chasing the enemy down for you and your team or getting everyone out safely.

Mid Lane Guide

Items Explained


Amazing starting item for Ymir mid because it gives 50 magical protections, almost every mid will be a magical god, 15hp5 + 2% of mac health every 8 seconds, which is an insane amount of health regen at the start of the match, 6mp5 this is enough mana regen when you hit lvl 4 to do one Glacial Strike every wave, and 100 health.


Obviously this is for the movement speed to get you into good positioning and the cooldown reduction. It also give 50 magical power which will allow you to clear the wave with a single Glacial Strike. It also gives an extra 250 mana, which doesn't hurt.


This item gives a whopping 600 health and converts 2% of your maximum health into magical power. Again it gives some more mana(300). By the time you get this item you should now have around 120-159 magical power and now you should be putting an end to team fights with ease.


This is a must on Ymir in my opinion. It gives you 75 more magical power putting you easily above 200 magical power. But making use of it's passive with ymireYmir's Frostbite and Polynomicon you can easily kill most mages with a Frost Breath, Glacial Strike and basic attack combo. *Ult if necessary*


If you have every built a mage you know all about "The Rod". It gives 125 magical power plus adds another 25% of your existing magical power. By now you should have 400 magical power. Your Frost Breath, Glacial Strike and basic attack combo should be doing roughly 1,300 dmg before protections. 300 From your frostbite polynomicon basic attack + 377 From your Frost Breath + about 650 from your Glacial Strike.


This item gives an easy 100 magical power (125 with the rod of tahuti). But the lower your health the more magical power you get, this is very useful in using your ult to get out of a pinch or doing some last minute damage so your team can come clean it up.


I get this item if it seems that I'm being focused a little too much(trust me you will be focused). At full stacks it gives you another 65 of each protection. At this point with your cc cooldowns and your wall you are unkillable.


This item I ONLY get if 3 or more of the enemy team has over 100 magical protections. This will completely cut through it all. I love the % penetration because the more they have the more you penetrate.

I suggest putting Winged Blade in your build, and you stayed on Emerald Talisman and never went to Stone of Gaia

so uhm you stay on Emerald Talisman and don't go to Stone of Gaia.

also I don't agree on putting no skillpoint in you wall until you don't have a choice. it's better to have every skill when your lvl 5 and teh wall is handy because if you need to flee it will deny some AA attacks and certain abilities and gods who are close.

you miss gameplay and teamwork sections. also the title isn't right because it's only mid (if it's going to be all places you can better have multiple builds etc already).

on some places your formatting is a bit messy

Gameplay section is missing and it is really important for a full guide! I hope you will add it cause it's a WIP. The build seems pretty ok I'll try it out later
