After watching the SWC this past weekend, I decided to try out in arena after not playing him for a while. Some backstory, I hated playing Fenrir in Arena when i first started simply because I would build full damage and run at people all game long and ended up dying a lot. Probably a common story for beginners in Arena.

This time around, I built a more tanky build, and i had a BLAST! I really had no idea how fun it would be to continuously blink into the enemy teams backline and snatch up unsuspecting mages and deliver them like a pizza to the rest of my team for dinner.

As an aside, my typical build was:

Situational (, , etc.)

I was really surprised at how well this worked out, I ended 3 of the 4 games i played somewhere around 5/1/25ish, with between 35k and 55k mitigated damage.

As a side note though, Khepri's ultimate is a HARD counter to Ragnarok. The one game i played against a was spent using my ult to force him to burn his ult over and over again.

Also, I've never done a blog before and I'm not sure if its supposed to be addressed to a hypothetical "reader" or myself, so I'm just winging it :)

P.S. My next attempt will be Tank . Anyone with experience or a good build for the arena for EITHER of these gods, please reply with suggestions!

Man this post was meant for boogie, lol. He probably wants to give you a big hug.

In your example last item situational, you mentioned . I'd suggest against that one in particular, as it's almost a bridge item, and really only more effective early-game.

Tank is fun too. You can do almost the same thing as Fen, but possibly without (though blink ulting is super fun as you have a better chance of surprising them and getting around their beads). High CDR is important, of course, but because he can poke so well with in a teamfight situation, building a bit of pen can be nice. For non-Conquest modes, consider picking up , and you may also be more aggressive with some other options that are a bit more bruiser (with some added power).

Also, I would be slightly against BoV and Genji's in the same build, as I see Genji's to be the magical counterpart of BoV. I typically get one or the other, depending on the enemy team. Thoughts?

Typically I dont build that way, but i was the "2nd" tank on the team so i went for more selfish defensive items, and wanted the cooldowns quickly.

Also, you can ignore this part but i wanted to try out some simple coding for item names like

instead of when getting BoV (BoV has plenty of mana, you don't need the MP5 from Genji, and Fen has great power scaling to take advantage of Ancile's power.

Noted. So My main reasons for getting was the CDR and mainly the health. What would you replace for a good health item?

Ahh for the health. I see. I can't think of an item that gives health, protections, and CDR besides . However, I would give more priority to items like due to that passive.

Also, is such a great item on him. He has to be up close a lot of the times, and he'll get a lot of use out of the passive.

So my potential tank builds:
This has some damage in it:

(if against a lot of cc and getting focused, otherwise delay it)

Of course, the should be gotten sooner if healing is a huge issue.
These are my preferences. Whatever works best for me may not work best for you, as you seem to like the and together.

The health was something I kept in mind, but it's just not so much that it's a huge factor. Relic and Magi's after (using your example build) will provide plenty, although it IS a bit later in the build.

And Ancile should work VERY well for Fen...he's likely to initiate (blink or leap or Brute) so that passive should trigger and affect the enemy pretty consistently.

Another option would be to go Reinforced / BoV / Oni / Relic / Spirit / situational. Less health again, but a lot of mitigations.

Lono's is fun, but I personally don't like further hurting any damage output he has in a tank build.

Yeah i really only got runic because i had capped CDR already and didn't want to get Ancile, and i just stumbled on Runic and figured there was like 50 tickets left or something so I just grabbed it.

The only change I'd consider is adding Khepri as a threat since his ult is a hard counter to yours and their cooldowns are close enough that you have to assume his is up if yours is, unless you're ult botting in arena and spamming it. Especially since running double support is becoming more common. This is just based off of a few games i played though and might not be the case every time. Other than that your guide is very good!

Yea dude, tank fenrir is REALLY fun in arena. With max cdr and insane mobility from 2 leaps and a cc immune ult, no one can kill you. Someone PMed me and asked, "why the fk won't you die?"

I'm pretty sure i read your guide yesterday prior to playing. Lol.

I think especially after the SWC full tank is gonna be a pretty high demand build for Fenrir. It seemed like everyone that played him just dominated, especially early game. That being said, I think a build for full tank would be awesome in your guide. :)

I was surprised i liked it so much since i typically only play hunters and burst mages in Arena and go for pure glass cannon builds just to spice it up. The matches i played with Fenrir probably the most fun I've had yet.

Conquest is a completely different animal from other game modes like Arena and Clash. Not quite sure how to do a conquest support fenrir build, as I've only jungled with him a few times, but I can definitely add something for Arena/Clash.

Conquest support fenrir: , , , , situational items/Lono's mask/heartward/relic dagger/magi's etc...

Relic choices: (usually first item), , , (), .

If you want to focus on being an ult bot you can get upgraded sunder 2nd relic, sunder a tank, ult them and bring them to your team to demolish to them.

What do you think of Lono's mask? I built it a few times on Fenrir and it seemed better early game vs. Late game. Probably because enemies can spam abilities better/ have crit/pen online etc..

Get it if you want to be an ult bot, possibly in combination with upgraded sunder for tanks, otherwise go for another item.

What about a start that you like? I see in the smite pro builds that support fenrir was used A LOT recently. Would you use their start? Or do you have a particular one you are leaning towards?

My main start on any support is , Tier 1 boots, 3 x health pots and 3 x multi pots. You can use it for Fenrir if you wish.

Alternatively you can get 3 or 4 health pots and 2 wards if you think you will have an early invade from enemy jungle.
